The food is good but the service lacked any focus or urgency. It was 12 degrees outside and they decided to leave the front and back doors wide open. The maître'd told us it kept her from feeling too warm. The mi goreng was the best thing we ate. Also really liked the beef rendang. The portions were all a bit on the stingy side.

Amazing food!!!
The best pork hock in sydney! Especially the crackling from the skin! I love the konro as well (indonesian beef ribs) , it was really tastier, i think they marinate it with a lot of herbs, i got the chips as well , and mie celor ! I think only in this restaurant that has this menu, need to try this menu! I love their cendol cocktail as well! Awesome vibes and friendly staff ! Will come back soon !

Amazing Indonesian restaurant. Delicious food with super friendly people. I will definitely visit it again.

This place was a mess, uncared for, unloved. You wouldn't invite someone over to your home if it was a mess would you.
Save your money, overpriced expensive small dishes.
The drinks were warm and we had to remind them about one they forgot sitting on the bar, the starter cold, the mains weren't what much better.
The Rendang Sapi was dry and lacking seasoning. The Mi Goreng was so over seasoned with chilli you couldn't taste anything else.
Give this one a miss and save your money

Good ambience and friendly staffs. It was my first try of Indonesian food and I felt very yummy and tasty. I tried grilled squid with sweet soy sauce and fried rice.

Ordered the mi goreng and the Balinese chicken with some rice. Both of them were absolutely amazing. Great service and really nice space.

The food was good , but the staff doesn’t have any responsibility for my missing item .
I bought a combo set , should come with drink
But the drink was missing . Then the staff just said no charge . What does she mean?? 🙃
I pay for it .

A good place and cozy to hang out but not for an authentic Indonesian food. Overall it was an OK experience

I haven't actually dined here but I have attempted twice.

The first time, the guy who informed us that there were no tables was unreasonably rude. Instead of informing us of the wait time, he just said that we should've come earlier and that you can't just walk in at this time.

I really wanted to try the food as I heard good things, so I let this slide and decided to come again another time.

The second time I went, the lady just told us we should go elsewhere because there are no tables. I asked how long it would be to wait and she didn't give a time, just repeated herself and told us to go elsewhere because there are no tables.

I don't understand why the staff can't simply just give their customers a time to wait. Even if it was an hour wait, at least give a time instead of saying go somewhere else. Particularly for someone who was willing to wait, the service both times was incredibly rude. Their staff needs to be retrained on customer service. Good food can only get you so far.

Located near the glebe market so it's quite convenient for us to grab a bite after shopping. The decoration is really light and open, it's not the best Indonesian food I've ever had but it was quite decent, the portion size was compatible with the price.

A friend in Glebe suggested trying out this Indonesian restaurant, and it was a fun night! The cocktails, during happy hour, are only $10, which is outstanding value for expensive Sydney! I found mine, with an intriguing ice cube coloured with butterfly pea flower, to be too sweet. Oh well. We sat outside in the front, which threatened rain but didn’t and was very pleasant. The inside looks nice enough too, a sort of beach house feel, and there was an area out back which I didn’t check out.

Me and my friends decided to come here after we found out that they are nominated as 16 best Indonesian food in Sydney and wanted to try ‘something new’. The atmosphere and the design will remind you with lots of cafés or bars in Bali, which is nice.
We ordered gado-gado, nasi campur Bali with rendang, bakwan jagung (corn fritter) also pork ribs Bali.
The gado-gado is a little bit dry in my opinion, but still okay.
Nasi campur Bali and the beef rendang is so good, my friend ordered the one with roast pork and its so yum! My husband likes the corn fritter and we love the pork ribs! One portion is enough for one person, unless you’re the one who usually can eat the whole ribs in hurricane, then this wouldnt be enough for you :p The meat is so tender and I like the sweet chilly sauce that comes with the ribs.

Tender and nicely flavoured pork and chicken. Good portion

While we’ve had plenty of Indonesian eateries in Sydney, not many of them back up quality eats with a good location, nice décor and decent boozing options. Salt & Palm seems to assembled all these ingredients in a beautiful sandstone cottage at the Broadway end of Glebe Point Road. While still a relative newcomer, the restaurant, run by daughter Natasya, builds upon a decade of her family's experience running Teras Bali in Walsh Bay. While that restaurant pushed a traditional vibe, Salt & Palm modernises the offering, starting with a funky salmon pink, blonde wood and green fit-out that’s the work of Kreativ Design (the same folks responsible for the look of Pyrmont’s Long Kin). While it’s super dark...

Delicious and unique Indonesian dishes in a stylish setting. The quality and service for the price is really reasonable. Lovely outdoor seating as well, it's like a mini holiday to Bali!

This is place is such a gem! (especially during happy hour from 5-7pm tues-sunday) We started off with the $10 Cendol and CocoPandan cocktails which were some of the best cocktails i’ve had. We also ordered the nasi kuning (tumeric rice) platter, nasi campur platter with crackling pork belly, sate ayam (chicken satay), and bakwan jagung (indo corn fritters). The pork belly was definitely a standout. Platters portions were very generous given the price ($10-$14). Really keen to visit this place during the summer as they have both front and back courtyard areas. Great modern Indonesian restaurant with friendly staff and also vegan friendly!

Really happy with the meal! Impressed with the quality and food presentation. Plus point if you visit on a warm sunny day, as there's an outdoor dining area.
