Xihuahua đ¶ bought me very lovely croissant from this place. It looks ok but omg the taste. It was divine! So buttery and crispy. I recommend reheating it with oven at home. Thanks for bring me this delicious treat! Best croissant I had in Sydney.đ„

Love the âcroque monsieurâ Sonoma version because of this chutney twist that they put on the bread.
Banana bread wasnât bad either.
My piccolo was good, so happy with overall experience.
Delicious pastry!! My housemate bought me this so I'm yet to head to this cafe, but if the pastry is anything to go by I'm sure it's all fantastic!
Love the bread from this place, the Miche sourdough is my favourite. They do great coffee as well.

Sesame heaven with the ham and cheese croissant covered in black and white sesame. Small cosy cafe area. Bakery that specialises in sour dough. Satisfying and simple.
Can't go to Sonoma without trying their bread. They ran out of what we were after. So we settle with Rye and spelt sourdough which is equally good.
Bottom line : Great bread. Good service. Average value for money.
Sonoma is first and foremost about the bread. I have tried a few of the different loaves but find that I keep coming back to the miche. It is a round loaf with a dark caramelized crust and a dense slightly chewy texture. One thing I like is that it has a slightly lighter softer texture than sourdough, while still feeling like a loaf of substance.
I see a lot of people complaining about service, but the bread is so good it makes up for everything.. best to get extra pastries to eat in the park across the road under the trees
The Sonoma Cafe is a tiny space, but itâs packed with goodness. Not bad but lose the attitude. The young staff here is definitely more concerned with gossiping than paying much attention to customers, but at least the coffee is good.
Lovely people. Great coffee. Nice snacks. Highly recommended.
Local fav, keep coming back. Get bread every week and coffee whenever we can.

Give me Miche ..... I have read some of the reviews and points I would note after buying bread from here for 6 years almost every week:
1. The whole wheat sourdough is sublime.
2. The Miche is heaven.
3. Sonoma is one of the best bakeries in Sydney. It's true.
4. The opening hours are for the stay at home mums who flock there during the day.
5. Buying bread is buying bread - its not Cartier in London or Paris - so just be aware there is a youthful pretentiousness to the Glebe outlet.
6. Muffins are delicious and always worth buying as are the brekkies; croissants and sandwiches.
7. Good coffee.
8. Crowded when busy and faux French atmosphere.
Wow wow sour dough!!. The bread is addictive, they have the 2 classics, the mission which is the white version and the Miche which is malted (miche is my fave). Best. Sour. Dough. Bread. Ever.
Love it!. This little place has some of the best coffee in glebe... it's a shame to read that others have had bad experiences here as i've only ever found the staff to be friendly and cheerful, the coffee to be great and the sandwiches/cakes to be really good.
