I definitely recommend coming here if you’re into delicious, fresh and authentic Japanese food. We ordered the ten piece sushi special which had a nice variety of seafood. I loved the scallop one the most. The raw fish was fresh, yum and aesthetically pleasing.
Being a huge sushi fan, I decided to try this place on my last business visit to Sydney. This ppace has all the happy vibes, and I instantly felt that the food will be good here.
Their tuna maki rolls turned out to be so good, I ended up ordering one more plate. Could really taste the freshness of the fish. Would love to be back here for sure.
Hidden inside Chifley Tower. Authetic Japanese food. The sushi rice is good here. Thoroughly enjoyed the 10 piece sushi set. Will be back to try their degustataion. Atmosphere is quite casusal. Tables are on the larger side and my seat was stained. Little let down with interiors.
One of my favourite places in Sydney for good Japanese food. Food is fresh and I love their hot dishes. And I always save space for their homemade ice cream/sorbets!
Sushi and sashimi were so fresh. i usually don’t enjoy chicken karaage but theirs was so tasty and juicy!!! Beef was really tasty too. Only let down was the lukewarm red bean dessert which was too sweet.
I have to give 5 stars to this Japanese restaurant, the sashimi is very fresh and with great taste, the special scampi with cheese is the best I’ve ever had, the entrees are extremely wonderful, I was extremely satisfied. but I have to say that the main dishes(flounder fish and duck breast) disappointed me a lot, the fish is fried unexpectedly and is very normal; the duck breast is also just so so. And with respect to the dessert, we ordered an assorted dessert, which includes 4 kinds of small-size desserts. And the matcha cake looks and tastes terrible, like a cheap cake which is on sale. But other 3 are ok. Overall, the starter is worthy enough!
Azuma is an authentic Japanese restaurant located at Sydney CBD. They offer a la carte menu as well as omakese degustation. I tried the later and was impressed by the fresh ingredients and selection of delicious courses.
Beautiful Japanese food. We had waygu beef, duck and sashimi. So fresh and delish. The desserts are great here as well. Service is good. There are private dining rooms you can book as well. The decor is lovely and you are greeted with a smile. The food is excellent.. I would definitely go back.

The best seat in the house is undoubtably at the sushi counter, especially if you wish to seek the sushi master's recommendations of the best fish of the day. If you can't decide, just leave it up to the chef ("omakase").
A wide variety of sushi -- with both a traditional and creative flair -- and difficult to get fish are often on the menu in season (such as really good cuts of toro - tuna belly). Everything is prepared with great skill and passion. Service is impeccable.
Still Sydney's best Japanese restaurant, by far!
Pretty good place for some high quality japanese seafood and some good sake. Overall food was great and the restaurant setting was nice and modern.
The only reason I would not give it a 5 is that the restaurant itself has quite a standard menu and for the high price, you'd expect something a bit more.
Would still come for high quality sashimi though!
