We ordered a pizza and pasta meal from the deals. Very cheap and they were both delicious. Our order arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected also. Very friendly service.
I loved these pizzas. The dough is very thin and very good. Simples pizzas, few ingredients but they don't need more. nice size and cheap!! Perfect for a fast lunch, take away and eat enjoying the view next to Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour
Not sure what everyone is going on about. The service was excellent and our waitress was extremely friendly. Our pizzas came quick and were delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent overall!. Have read the previous reviews and am really surprised!! We have been coming here for ages. Always good value and service with a smile. Went there last night and my daughter ordered Spaghetti Marinara (loved it but it was a bit light on the seafood but still good), I ordered Tortellini Boscaiola which was lovely and my husband ordered a pizza which he like as well. Always excellent service with a smile!! Not sure why some of the other reviews are not glowing as well!
We ate in at the restaurant on a Friday night, not busy at all so very easy to get a table. The pizza was delicious, thin crust & super cheesy. The staff were friendly, although very clueless about the wine they serve... which was horrid. We tried both their house red (a boxed wine which the waitress said was like Chardonnay??) & their 'Italian' reds. Do not drink the wine here!!! It made us feel a bit sick. Stick to their pizzas, they're worth going back for.
Delivery on time - very well priced compared to other delivery places I priced. Chorizo pasta was fresh, and tasty - garlic bread perfect. Only thing you couldn't choose the pasta - only came as penne.
Suburban secret. Just a short walk across Pyrmont Bridge from the over-priced tourist trap restaurant barns of Darling Harbour you will find The Darling Restaurant. I found it one night when staying nearby, but this time came by choice with GF in tow.
Half the price and a fraction of the size of the giant tourist restaurants nearby, The Darling is your little local Italian. If it were near your house, you'd pop there any time you didn't feel like cooking, but still wanted to eat well and homely.
The service is good and the menu features all the usual suspects. We both had pasta.
Grab a ferry to Pyrmont or take a short stroll and get yourself to The Darling. It might not be fancy, but it is cheap and cheerful and serving food that's tasty.
Fantastic food. We used an Internet voucher recently to get a take away from Darling Pizza.
Many restaurents view voucher customer as second class culinary citizens but not Darling Pizza even when we didn't get there until rush hour at 7.30pm on a Saturday night.
There were no menu restrictions which was refreshing and we had the Spaghetti Marinar , the seafood pizza, Greek salad, Garlic bread/pizza and desert Pizza of chocolate and cream.
the staff were fabulous, super helpful and friendly, they sat us down as we waited and came and chatted to us and kept us informed as to how long more the wait would be, all in all only about a 15 minute wait. I was very impressed with how helpful they were.
The seafood pizza was the first to be devoured and it was totally delicious, pasta fantastic, not and plenty of seafood.
we left the dessert pizza for the following day.
Great service, friendly staff and loooved the food. 10 out of 10 from me.
We'll be back. thank you.
Awesome, Urban Pizza. Having never eaten in the restaurant, I can only speak of the little take away window next door which served up pizza that completely took me by surprise. The look of the place is nothing special and I usually avoid places that display their food in windows but those prejudices don't apply here because the pizza is truly fantastic. Crispy, never oily, extremely fresh toppings and the friendliest chef you'll find, along with pies that are delivered very fast, cancel out the grittier parts of the surroundings and decor. There are a couple of small tables so if you're feeling ravenous take a seat and eat in.
