Great service and atmosphere!
Sichuan bean noddles with sour and chilli sauce! Is my favourite Sichuan cold dish! Highly recommend! And the portion is generous too! 4.5/5
Mini hot pot... I suppose.. don’t know how to say in English. Really nice 👍 4/5 ! The shrimps and fish are well seasoned in chilly sauce! And tender!
We came here on a Saturday night, it was quite empty actually. We almost had the whole place to ourselves, but the service could be friendlier and happier. We clearly over-ordered for 6 people, there were few more dishes which I didn’t manage to take pictures of. The prawn with salted egg corn and the fried mantau were our favourites! The fish dish and the beef stir fry were pretty tasty too. Overall the food won our hearts and bellies. If you are looking for decent Sichuan food, I would recommend this place.
"Boil" and "steam" are my two favourite ways of Chinese cooking, because I get to taste the original flavour of the ingredient. We've had seafood steam pot last year in Hong Kong and I always wanted to have it again. So when we saw it's now available in Red Chilli, we came for a feast. Check out our blog for the food hunting video
Went there with a friend before New Year, had a cold chilli chicken dish, which was amazing! The chicken dish was with sesame paste, and fresh cucmber cubes, excellent!
The potato starch noodles, cold, sour and spicy, was good too! Loved it!
And need to mention the hot chilly fish fillets dish, tastes fantastic.
And the price was affordable.
I accidentally ordered something too hot to handle for my tastebuds, but this aside, foods delicious and it is a fun experience to do with your partner. Service was pretty good, because the waiter noticed that I couldn't handle the chilli (though my partner could) and gave me several types of sauce that would make it much better. You can choose how hot you want your broth, and they have a huge selection of food that you can choose from. Would go again, especially during this cold and wet winter time.
My friend bought a groupon deal for $89, thought it was traditional hotpot. However, I was really stunned what I eat there...
and so its called "steam - POT", the pot has two levels, upper for steam lower for chicken soup, not spicy at all suites me the best.
The only problem is I think their staff really need to improve their English
Winter is coming, "hot pot" I am coming. Authentic spicy Sichuan taste. I won't forget forever. Meanwhile, seafood steamed pot also attract me, it is a new cooking style, very popular in China.
This is an amazing restaurant. Traditional hot pot and some special hot pot, the waiters with nice smiles and services, it is a great opportunity to try different foods style in sydney
Excellent restaurant!!!
Amazing food. Especially the deep fried chicken and the hot pot fish. The chef cooked dishes with different Chinese condiments.
Although the cost is a little bit high, but it totally worth it.
I really like this Chinese restaurant. Their service attitude is also very friendly food taste is very authentic. I hope have a chance to bring my friends to taste again.
This Sichuan's style food is quite traditional and the dishes are tasty, the services are always nice, also the price is acceptable for universal consumers.
This place is amazingly great!!! Just remind me the time I'm at chengdu, the spicy city, everything here is traditional n authentic flavour, the shop is design to be like ancient style, highly recommended for family n friends reunion!!!!
Great hotpot restaurant. Fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation.
Can be a bit expensive for a couple, but go in a large group and it is excellent value.
I love eating here and every person that has come for their first hot pot experience has had a great time too.
Service is pretty good, they always do their best to meet your special dietary, very sweet stuff and lovely food, love their chili, even I may cry with the chillies I would still try it
The special Maoxuewang and fish filet was very good, nice experience last time, service was really nice, next time i will try other things on the menu.
That is what i am talking about!!! the hot pot boiling in the middle and we cooked everything together! together with the seasome sauce, it just make our day!!
This is a very good shop for you to try DIY stuff. You cook stuff yourself and dip it in some the chilli oil sauce. The chilli is very spicy but it just had the magic of letting you keep eating haha
last year i live in sydney whole year,i can not find a traditional si chuan hotpot, but when i been in red chilli glebe i find i am wrong!this is fatasy si chuan hot pot,the best one is i eat the the traditional si chuan corn peper!make me feel in si chuan!lovely
Great service and good authentic Chinese atmosphere! Beef tripe was very good! And the snacks like dan dan noodles are fantasitic! I will go back here again
A few days ago friends birthday, we went to this hot pot restaurant, great, really great, this time we ordered the mandarin duck pot, half is spicy, half is not hot, spicy is very exciting, great , That is not spicy half of the delicious, soup is great, beef rolls, mutton roll! The The The There are all kinds of balls, here, I feel the taste of home
Globe hot pot shot is something you will really go with your friends. it's very worthy the price and the idea of sharing is very good for a party!
Definitely a good restaurant.
Hot pot here is really authentic and impressive. Chinese style decoration is also special and beautiful.
Don't hesitate to come and try.
my favour sichuan hotpot👍👍👍👍👍
i like spicy and in here i can have very traditional hotpot😍😍😍😍
now also can eat the steam seafoods here , feeling my life in Sydney is perfect😊😊
Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurant I ever experienced offering spice food and hotpot in Sydney. Remind me of dishes I had back in China.
Gooooooooood
Amazing food, great service/hospitality!
Waiters are always around to cater for our needs.
Dumplings & noodles taste amazing and fresh!
Full of flavor and the presentations of each dish are always spectacular.
great atmosphere, good restaurant to have your gatherings and dinner.
As I am now a regular at this restaurant, this place has not let me down once.
So nice 👍 👍👍👍
I've been to this restaurant more times than I can remember, with groups from 2 to over a dozen. It was a novelty when it opened; since then there have been other upscale chinese restaurants, but only red chili is worth the price. The wait can be crazy so get there early.
By now the menu is familiar like an old friend. With family & friends I've eaten pretty much every item. If you don't get the Xiao Long Bao, what are you doing here?
Get them!
What else do I order again & again? Pork chop with fried rice, vegetarian delight (sesame salad of hard tofy, fungus, beansprouts etc). The spicy wonton in sichuan pepper sauce are addictive, & go well with the milder vegetarian buns. Wonton noodle soup with spinach sounds simple but is really well done.
I like hot top, and I think it is the best hot pot restaurant in Sydney. I want more spicy!!! and the service is very good, the staff always meet our needs.
Consistently good food. Pity it's in a food court so finding a table and eating in lobby means you can't do justice to their dishes. Their take away is very nicely packed. Make sure you study the menu in detail before standing in the queue.
The hot pot fish was cooked perfectly and had the distinct chilli oil heaviness of Sichuan food. The sliced wombok complemented the fish well.
Not bad
The food is very nice and I really love the HOTPOT!
Just choose your fav foods

Unique customer service experience,i like gongbao chicken, dandang noodles ,chef special fish ,the staff very patience, ilike the food, and will come back.
Not gonna lie, this place made me feel like eating in my hometown, I have been away from home Sichuan for many years, and I still missing that dishes taste. In fact, I can't eating much hot meals already, but they keep the hot pot flavor and it's not spicy at all, they made it!
I live in Glebe. This restaurant is kind of my home kitchen. Especially the stirring fried dishes, like chicken and tofu and Zhong dumplings etc. They taste like my mum's cooking. I almost go this restaurant every week.
The waiter and waitress there are very helpful and nice.
Went to this restaurant for dinner and the entire experience was great.Staff were friendly and courteous, and went out of their way to make u feel at ease.The.hotpot n.food.was well presented and so delicious, especially the.sichuan.pepper,taste sooooo.good
MY FAVOURITE HOTPOT! First choice for dinner during cold season cos it's warm and steamy. Quite crowded - so get there early or expect a bit of a wait.
It is true that half spicy and half chicken soup is the best choice for the pot. Summer is not the best season to try hot pot. But I am always attracted to the hot pot in red chilli restaurant.
Half spicy & Half Chicken Soup is the best choice for the pot. Beef Bible Tripe and Beef Slices are the most delicious dishes in the hot pot. Satay sauce makes everything tasty.
chilli lover or Sichuan lover's heaven.......dispute the service....but still i am willing to give 4.5 for the food. the have combination seafood pot allows to eat first then add soup to cook vegetables.
surprising they stir fry Yabbies with spice!! unbelievable!!
we've ordered a lot of stuff. mostly the balls and meats, though. but my favourite has to be the fish egg balls!! it's probably tastes weird at first, but you're gonna get addicted to it!! and please, bring friends!! you'll enjoy the dishes more!! 10/10 recommended!!
I love this place! Honestly my favourite hot pot place. They have a variety of soups and let you have half and half. (The chicken and mushroom soup are the best ones!)
They also have a sauce bar so you can make whatever sauce you want!
The first n only choice for hotpot, remind me the time I visited Chengdu, the authentic flavour, glad to know they do normal Stir fry food now, n also the dry pot is amazingly good!!! Can't really stop saying how good it is!!! Strongly recommended for students like us,just next door of our Sydeny uni!!!
Visited their branches in Chinatown before and really impressed with their dishes! Very traditional Sichuan Hot food and it really makes you feel at home if you are a Chinese student like me! Highly recommended!
This place comes much recommended by friends and colleague and for a good reason too. There is so many choices of hotpot ingredients and I encourage that you must absolutely order it with their signature half spicy and half chicken soup.
Best hot pot restaurant in Sydney I have been. I am a big fan of hot pot , the food is really fresh and delicious. In addition, the price is reasonable, we only spend $120 for 4 persons.
great Chinese restaurant,i have heard it many times before i visit,it is really amazing, love all of the dishes, especially the seafood cucumber.
All ten of us left the restaurant glutted and happy. I found it a very social meal, and so much fun. However, I think that it may be a bit better with a smaller more intimate crowd. Can't wait to try it again, perhaps with a smaller crowd.
I have mixed feelings about our Sichuan hot pot experience. I think it is a fun and interactive way to eat with a group of people and I love it that is a totally difference eating experience for us.
Yummy chilli crab! I love it! Def my favorate hot pot place
We went with about a dozen people on Saturday night and it was great. The spicy broth was really hot but mixing it with the chicken brought it back to Earth. Lots of options of ingredients for everyone and having four half pots made it easy to share with vegetarians, no seafooders and normal people. Service was a bit ordinary - had to wave someone down if we wanted anything but thy responded quickly. Definitely going back :)
One of my favourites in Sydney! This place is great. I like my hot pot extra hot but tone the numbness down to mild / medium. Try the dumplings and the wontons as well a the fried tofu and pork belly slices. Surprisingly, the luncheon meat and frankfurters are also great! Tsingtao is a must as well as plenty of water to put out the fire in your mouth!!
Winter favourite. Love this place - nothing beats a steaming Szechuan hotpot in the midst of winter! I prefer the Glebe branch over the Chinatown one...the soup base seems more flavourful. Our must-have ingredients are the pork and coriander balls, lamb slices (seriously, the beef pales in comparison) and fish roe balls. And it's a good idea to get the half clear-half spicy soup option...an all-spicy soup option would render your tastebuds useless after awhile.
Whatever you do, don't go for the 'medium' and definitely stay away from 'extra'. The waitress is to be obeyed when she says go for 'mild'. Medium is sufficient to blow the average person's head clear off. Trust me, I'm a survivor. That little detail aside, this is a good place for those who like their diner experience interactive. The hotpot can get a little oily so best to order some Tsingtao beers to aid the digestion. Enjoy!
Food was tasty and there was plenty of it for two. This is not hot pot I was used to (I have had a great deal in my life) and wish it was explained to me on how it worked. The pot with broth has a grate siting on the top so seafood could be steamed, visually, it was great but then I couldn't get to the actual broth to eat. I worked it out myself. The servers are nice, but won't tend to you unless you get up and seek them out. It's a a restaurant that caters to the Chinese population so the 'service' is a bit different is all.
Only gripe I had is I bought a Groupon that included wine but upon arrival, they told us it didn't so I ordered a bottle and paid separately. That was slightly disappointing but did not ruin experience for us.
Delicious Chinese hotpot and stir fried dishes. I like their snacks and seafoods.
The flavours of the dishes were great for the taste buds and delicious. The chilli wasn't the really hot type which was a relief and left my lips tingling which made it very enjoyable and wanting more.
The staff were very nice and attentive. The meals were served to the table quickly which was perfect.
The atmosphere felt like being in another country which is why I would go to a place like this.
We didn't have the hot pot though I plan come back and try next time. The variety of dishes we had were lovely.
I was really impressed with this place and would recommend giving it a go.
Great place for a hot pot. Next door to another Sichuan restaurant so the competition is good to maintain high quality. Decent meats and vegetable selection. 3 types of hotness. Friendly and attentive staff. One of my top 3 hot pot restaurants in Sydney.
