great services, ones of the best beef Bibimbap I have ever tried! and is also following excellent hygiene measure to be COVID safe. Will definitely go back!
I come to this place quite a bit and the food is great, no idea why it had such a low score. Yes, the service leaves little to be desired but the food makes up for it.
The sushi is fresh and made well. I always order the salmon avocado nigiri which is topped with onion and roe. I could eat 10 of these!
The prawn tempura is one of the best I’ve had. Large and perfectly crispy with a light ponzu sauce.
I usually always order the chilli sizzling beef which comes on a hotplate on top of an array of veggies. Comes with free rice and miso soup.
I also sometimes order the cheese grilled scallops which are really good. Scorched cheese and sweet soy sauce on top of raw scallop with rice and mayo. I also love the dressing that comes with the salmon avocado salad. I could eat that on everything!
Quick service, good menu, and decent pricing. Great place for a quick fix before the movies. Will be back again definitely! Do try their range of Japanese sake!
One of the best restaurants. Just a nice casual restaurant, me and my family go to about 2 times a week and is better then all of the fine-dining sushi restaurants I’ve been to.
Excellent Japanese food! Been here a few times now and they never disappoint. The train is not too bad but recommend actually sitting down and ordering from the menu because it's amazing. 👌🏼
Located in Rhodes shopping centre, it is situated off a corner of the food court.
Service is okay at best. Looks like they're going through the motions of a busy weekend. When we arrived it looked like a hurricane of people had arrived and left as so many tables were full of dirty dishes. We were promptly seated and given menus but it took them a while to take the orders. The meals seem to be delivered at different times as my mum got her dish a while before I got mine. I noticed this with other tables too. What was appreciated was that they advised me that the Yakiudon was spicy so immediately chose someone else as definitely do not like spicy foods.
We went with Yakisoba and Chicken Udon. They looked well presented and tasted delicious.
If only the staff seemed more interested then it would've gotten a higher rating.
For the third stop on our Rhodes Waterside x Zomato food tour, we visited Tomodachi, a Japanese and Korean fusion restaurant with a great range of sushi, sashimi and sake. Our first three dishes included kingfish sashimi, assorted sushi and a salmon and avocado salad. All of the pieces we had were so fresh and tasty, and the grilled scallop sushi in particular was divine!
Tomodachi is the epitome of beautifully presented food. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to sample a selection of their salads and sashimi plates. Trying sea urchin for the first time I was surprised at the explosion of ocean that bursts in your mouth, another newbie dish for me was the swordfish dish which was by far my favourite thanks to the "secret sauce".
The slow cooked beef was another standout, the sauce was drenched throughout the vegetables and the potato, I wanted to lick the plate clean.
Tomodachi means "friends" in Japanese, and that's exactly what you feel like when you step foot into the restaurant.
Pleasing lunch with a few cold beers, really good sushi turned up at 1115 and was sent away because they open at 1130, anyhow kris wanted sushi gotta give a pregnant woman what she wants.
Had a few tuna rolls always good can't really get it wrong, the soft shell crab roll was really good it's become one of my favorites.
We always get the sizzling chilli pork which is always good but we did ask for mild to lite chilli but I think it was hot to wild which was fine for me but not the pregnant wife, in saying that the staff are always friendly and accommodating, we noticed the centre is doing building works outside which was really annoying cause I can still hear the banging of the steel in my ears hours later, hope the center is compensating these guys because it's not good for business I noticed a few guests where getting upset with the noise as too was my wife, either way good food when the get it right and staff always smiling.
This is one of our favourite place for Japanese. We love their Sushi, Sashimi and Udon dishes. The one that stands out most is the Bulgogi Udon dish, the broth, Udon and Bulgogi work hand in hand to please your taste buds.
