While on vacation in Sydney, I decided to take my family to a Korean restaurant for lunch. I was not disappointed in choosing Kobow. The selection was very good, the food delicious, and the heat!! And for the prices???? I wish we had come here sooner. This place gets a five-all-day!

Amazing value for the lunch special at $10 for several mains. Include rice and free side dishes. The side dishes are quite limited in choice, but hey its $10! The beef serving for the bulgogi was very generous but the bed of cabbages was not tasty. Usually it is boiled before placing on the hot plate but this one probably went on raw. Since it's cheap I can't really complain. Good for people on a budget. I also tried the spicy seafood toufu stew which was quite good at $12.

In Sydney and looking to try something a bit different (haven't tried Korean food before) so we wandered into Kobow. Was a bit worried when we walked in by the fairly spartan decor and when saw some of the patrons cooking their own meat over burners (we weren't feeling quite so adventurous) but we just ordered some entree's and standard mains from the menu. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and amount of the food that arrived. two entrees of fried dumplings and spring rolls - about 10 of each and yummy. A small mains of deep fried chicken for my wife and a large of 3 sauce chicken for me. The 3 sauce chicken was a plate about 30cm square heaped with chicken and 3 bowls of sides (potato and 2 others I didn't recognise). All quite delicious. I can easily eat a large pizza but the mains defeated me - despite it being delicious I could only manage 3/4 of it. $60 for the entire meal. Overall, very good value and we enjoyed it.
