One of my chosen place to quickly grab a take away coffee before taking the train. Pretty close from the station. Coffee is not bad (from Vittoria) and friendly customer service. They serve hot food as well & have daily special like baklava & coffee. Might try their baklava next time.
This is a fairly good cafe near central station. The serving sizes are quite big which is helpful if you are hungry and tired after a long train journey. The staff are quite friendly.

Great for jazz lovers. The food is good enough to hang around in this Gare Du Nord atmospheric venue. Wifi available for the stranded traveller. Coffee is excellent.
Lovely cafe and the owners are really great...Have been coming here for last 6 months because of their service. Kudos to Helena for making my scrambled eggs runny everytime 😄😄.
What a lovely little cafe! Found this place by chance when my husband and I.came into Central lost property today to pick up husband's phone. Really loved the pictures of jazz singers, actors and art prints. A definite plus in my books. The coffee was lovely. This type of old world decor is sadly lacking today. Takes me back to fonder memories of the 70s and 80s style cafes.
I am surprised at the negative reviews of this place. I think it deserves more better ratings. I visited Sydney for a 10 day trip and my routine was to get up early in the morning and have breakfast here. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly. I asked for multiple customizations of the food and I was always given a reasonable alternative. I also liked that they opened pretty early in the morning when everything is closed. I would recommend this place for the price VS what I get.
This little gem of a cafe is hidden away at the bottom of the escalator that connects the Central light rail station with the streets below. Whenever members of my family are passing through Sydney by train or bus, we always stop off here for a meal or morning tea (or both!) Coffee is always good and a range of meals are economically priced. I particularly enjoy breakfasting here after disembarking from the XPT from Melbourne. As a paying customer, I also get to recharge my phone here for free - another incentive to spend some time here. There always seems to be somewhere to sit either inside the shop or in the corralled area outside the doors. Most other food shops at Central necessitate takeaway due to the lack of seating. Staff make us obvious travellers really welcome too. My only suggestion would be for extra staff on Saturday morning to lessen the burden and speed up service.
Always come here for a coffee and snack or "old style/original" hamburger between trains etc., time permitting. Friendly , quick and efficient service, great atmosphere provided by the interesting décor, prints on the wall etc. and the owner/operator ensures everything runs smoothly. Prices are reasonable, comprehensive menu and plenty of seating, inside or out,
