The Rooftop Bar with views toward Barangaroo is a large, open bright space perfect for functions, private events, a good after-work stiff drink and weekend fun.
On this mid-week night, I dined on the rooftop with fellow Sydney foodies @jimmywongeats @justin_time2eat and @everycrumb for a #boysnightout.
We dined in the inside section of the rooftop close to the bar on one of the high tables. The venue manager and bartender were super nice. They helped us navigate our way through the bistro menu and cocktail selection.

A nice place to have a work-crew lunch if you book in advance to reserve a table and order at the bar as soon as you arrive. Bangers and mash were bang on, I could have easily eaten another serve! Great service from the waitstaff and food was served hot despite the kitchen being in another postcode!! Really nice terrace area on a sunny day - make sure you slip, slap slop!
Decent serve size and taste for lunch specials. Ordered a vegetarian lasagne - was better than the lasagne I’ve tried at many other places
Tip: head up to the rooftop area for dining!
Went for lunch and found the food to be pretty good for a "pub meal"...a bigger range of food than most pubs as well! Just don't set your expectations too high from looking at photos. The atmosphere felt a little bit run-down; could really do with an interior redesign. That being said, it was practically empty when I went for lunch, though I can imagine it being full of life come night, so I would recommend it as a fun social hub for this time more so than its afternoon lunch hours.
Love this rooftop pub in the CBD. Came here for a relaxed lunch and was even better than expected. I ordered the beef burger which was jam packed and delicious and a couple of passionfruit caprinhas which were incredible! The staff were friendly and helpful and I will most definitely be back!
The Bristol Arms is a busy little pub located on Sussex St down towards the business end of the CBD. I had the pleasure of recently visiting the newly renovated rooftop bar to check out their menu, I was surprised to hear that such a place existed because I’d never knew it was here beforehand.
The Bristol Arms, located in the heart of Sydney's CBD has three eating spaces to choose from; The Rooftop Bar, The Public Bar and The Bristol Kitchen. Today, we dined at The Rooftop Bar, an open, modern, clean and bright space.
Friday Lunch on a Rooftop. Came to the Bristol Arms Rooftop Bar for lunch on a Friday. The atmosphere, the food and the service was all fantastic. I ate the chicken schnitzel the portion was massive i couldn't finish it. My friends and i also got some bar snacks which were all delicious. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Friday lunch destination.
The Bristol Arms Hotel located at 81 Sussex Street was recently “retro”fitted by the Riversale Group and now features, a rooftop bar that features hampton inspired furniture and breezy beachiness, kitchen and a public bar. We headed in and scouted out its new do. On the street level, its a local pub with art noveau prints and dark walnuts. The carpet is a tartan print. Local Pub, tartan carpets and a nice solid bar. For something a little more modern, look for the elevator and head on up. Pop up the elevator to the top floor and you get to Bristols RoofTop Bar The bar on the roof. Staff attire is collegiate with the bristol arms insignia on the shirts. Sussex Street side is a large open rooftop space. You get a vista along sussex and its quite a nice looking view. The front/distributor side has ample seating, communal tables and fancy hampton-esque furniture. The view along the north edge of the Bristol Rooftop Bar is pretty nice. It looks great. A view from inside Looking across. Sunl

The place is consist of 5 levels - underground , retro 1 and 2 (level 1 and 2 pretty much) being nightclub (apparently retro 1 is used as dance teaching area during weekdays), ground level (where you enter) has bar and TAB facility and finally rooftop lounge with smoking terrace. Rooftop is quite amazing as other people have mentioned. Beer selections at the bar tap is exceptional (Big Shed Golden Stout time - literally tastes like golden gaytime. So much happiness!). Fod has came out relatively quick compared to other reviews and it did come out quite nice! (Consider i paid $14. Oh by the way from Monday to Wednesday there is $14 menu and steak is OK inclucded). Happy hour goes from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Monday to Thursday. In conclusion i would say this place is mad place to pay a visit on weekdays if you ever get a day off.
It has a really nice roof bar, nice snack menu, good selection of beers and is not far from the train. A great place to meet. Home to Sydney Harbour Runners too!!
Nice rooftop terrace, pretty good food and nice selection of beers/drinks. Worth trying out.
Fantastic venue! Suited our comedy needs perfectly. Professional staff, extremely friendly security. Great music @ the Retro nightclub. Make sure to head there with a friendly attitude!
Top notch pub food, beers wellpriced for the area with plenty of room and a rooftop area.
Bone Marrow pie was a winner!
