Review Belvedere Restaurant - Tamborine Mountain

What a wonderful experience my family had at this exceptional restaurant this week. The food and service by Mario and Yanni was spot on. We ordered a range of items off the extensive menu, it was all flawless, as was the atmosphere. Can't wait to return.

We loved this place! Felt like we stepped into Italy for a night. Authentic Italian food which included Gluten Free Lasagna! 🙌🏼 Did not disappoint! Beautiful woodfire pizza base and great Chianti! Would definitely visit again.

Pasta was beautiful, the garlic pizza was so good too and we also hot Oyster Kirkpatrick. Safe to say they nailed it. Was so busy and they still managed to get our food done within a decent time.

Problems with staff, an hour after my partner got his pizza I still didn’t have my meal. The first time I enquired I was told pasta takes longer, the second time it was coming and the third that the sauce was being put on. Twenty minutes later no meal and other tables that came in after us were being served. Given there was only one other table when we arrived it shouldn’t have been that hard. I understand new staff but she didn’t look into it and she lied. Very disappointing!

Rang and booked an hour before. Got there and they hadn't written it down. Had to go to other tables and get menus after waiting with no service as weren't given any, waited over an hour for our food, 2 children starving and past bed time by then. One child had to be walked around outside for most of the hour so he wouldn't scream in the restaurant as he was hungry, (freezing outside) gave up. Got it takeaway. Opened pizza and half raw ..it had been an hour !!!!!. Very disappointing!!!

Booked for dinner on a cold wet evening. The host Yiani, welcomed us and promptly seated us at nice, warm, cosy, table. The restaurant has a great and interesting history with lots of photos to browse whilst waiting for our meals. The food was excellent with the chef's, (Marco), commitment to quality and presentation. It featured local produce - meat, vegetables and salad ingredients; I had the bug and freshwater, redclaw crustaceans with a home made pasta sauce which was excellent. My wife had the beef which was very tender and you could taste and smell all the fresh home grown ingredients/herbs in the sauces. The portions were great and filling - sadly too full to taste the nice deserts.

Ordered the Frutti Di Mare (seafood) fettuccine with cream sauce, takeaway. Was so delicious we are ordering again tonight! 5 stars judging from one dish only.

If this place is busy don't expect your meal in a hurry. I had a pizza which was ok. No idea what my partner's meal was like as she never got it. We left an hour later. Very poor service and no communication. Don't bother.
