We had the steamed bun pork belly and a vegetarian burger. The food was absolutely amazing. Very friendly service, beautiful outdoor area and excellent food. Highly recommend this place if you are hungry and have a taste for quality meals.
Yes, the new owner knows how to please. This is now such a lovely venue with a little bit of everything,.. whether you want a night out with friends (dining inside or out), just a coffee and cake, a wine and catch-up with a friend under the Liquid Amber tree, an ice cream, or to chill out and listen to live music - its all there at the Monkey Tree. Congratulations Mark, your chef and staff. You have got it right!!
The most amazing breakfast/brunch. Huge portions and amounts of bacon/ smoked salmon. Our whole table was super impressed. Best coffee I've ever had! Kendyl was our waitress, so friendly and helpful recommending meals and smoothies. Definitely coming back here next time we're up the mountain. Thanks for a beautiful space for a family meal.
The mint hot chocolate is amazing, and they have some of the best wedges I've ever had. My partner had the lamb and it was falling off the bone, cooked beautiful. He says "The Lamb was beautiful and I've never wanted to eat a pile of vegetables so bad in my life, they were amazing. And the sauce that came with was incredible." On top of the amazing food, the people there were super lovely, everything came out quickly and the atmosphere inside was very relaxing. Was a really great place, a highlight of our visit to My Tamborine.
Typical decent pub food for lunch, large portions. The only let down is the wait staff look a bit like they don't want to be there. Had lunch here & came back for a drink at night.

When my husband and I headed to Mt Tamborine for a catch-up with our sister and her family, we found that Monkey Tree ticked each box for what we were after.
With an easy location, a beautifully outdoor 'homely' atmosphere, a nice setting with multiple tables available and well presented staff, we were very happy with the restaurant as a whole.
There was a bit of a misunderstanding with our order, however the staff were incredibly friendly and quick in fixing it up for us. While I also admit that the prices were slightly higher than we expected, it was certainly justified by the quality of food and drink that we enjoyed.
At the end of it all, I can personally vouch for the fact that you're going to leave Monkey Tree with a smile of satisfaction on your face.
P.S. - I really enjoyed their peppermint hot-chocolate and highly recommend it as the perfect partner to their Big Breakfast!
We found this place to be very good. The staff were very professional and friendly. Burgers were huge and quite nice. I would definitely go back and visit if I’m in the area again. I probably would of given it 5 stars but the coffee to quite a while to turn up, and that’s the only negative I found here. Lovely atmosphere in the mountains.
One of my favourite places to dine at Mount Tamborine. The menu options are great, the food is always so delicious, potion sizes are large, value is good and service is excellent. We love the atmosphere and the beautiful outdoor space. I will definitely be back.
Our meal was brought to us promptly and with such a great smile and looked so delicious that we immediately gobbled it up. Great vibe and friendly service. Image taken near front desk ... and I was considering a take away brioche!
