Most definitely will be bringing the family to this place. I must try the Greco Table Banquet 😊😊😊
Contrary to all of the bad reviews, I quite enjoy the food, it is authentic and delicious. Love, love, love it and cannot wait to return again. The kids loved it too.
Pretty good Greek, this side of the city. We got the meat platter for two with a side of roast potatoes, salad and tzatziki dip. Overall we enjoy this meal and the quick service. Meat was cooked well and plentiful. My only suggestion would be to keep the pita bread separate to the meat as it went soggy (as we got it takeaway) and maybe more dip. The potatoes were very yummy! Nice flavour.
Very friendly service, have only been late night to get cakes so far, but they are absolutely delicious!! Great atmosphere :) I’ll definitely be returning.
First time dining at Cafe Creco with a friend the staff were friendly and kind the food was excellent. Excellent place to eat with families and friends.
Friendly & attentive service and good quality food.
The $15 lunch special is great value for money.
Big variety to choose from, generous serves and includes a glass of nice wine. Would definitely recommend a visit here!
Ordered beef burger and chips as part of the 15 dollar deal, was pleasantly surprised to have two sauces served with chips, burger was really nice, beef was nicely cooked and lettuce in burger was nicely cooked, Diet Coke was served with lemon and was really refreshing :) I’ll be back :)
UPDATE: just ordered the grilled calamari salad takeaway- the calamari was perfectly cooked and nice and tender, was nicely seasoned and the freshness of the sun dried tomatoes was just what it needed, Diet Coke in takeaway cup thanks cafe Greco you never disappoint me ☺️☺️☺️
Average food, average drink but very good value if you come for their $15 lunch deal. We ordered beef burger and calamari and chips. The main complaint for the burger was probably the bun, it was cut poorly and it was somewhat too soggy. As for the calamari, the portion was kinda small, I know it's a lunch deal, but I was kinda expecting more. The aioli sauce was awesome though, and they also served tomato sauce which was nice. They also employed a sizeable number of staffs, which is good, they could respond quickly to hand wave and the food came out pretty quickly too. However this also means that there will be someone keep asking you if everything is okay and they will ask for your plates the moment you look like you finish eating. It's a bit annoying to be honest, but hey better than getting ignored.
Great $15 lunch menu with drink of choice including house wines. All our meals were delicious, especially the way the meats were seasoned and cooked. We'll be back. Great value. Service was also good. Venue a bit noisy but busy for a Saturday so to be expected.
E: Came here for a nice, quiet dinner to celebrate my mums birthday. Like every elder, Chinese lady always on the hunt for VALUE, Cafe Greco had us at "15 choices for $15". And what value it proved to be.
For those who've read my previous reviews, I generally leave service until near the end as critiquing the food always seems to be my priority. However, after last nights experience, I HAVE to address it first thing.
Close friends of mine will have definitely heard my infamous story of unsuccessfully requesting tomato sauce for my chips more than 4 times in one sitting at Cafe Greco and the mission was a failure. It's no lie, all my prior visits I have unfortunately received terrible service. HOWEVER, last night is the reason I still believe in miracles.
It may be due to new standards implemented or possibly due to staff we were served by last night that I hadn't seen prior, but the service quality had improved immensely. We were looked after by two gentlemen throughout the evening and they delivered truly exceptional service. My nan even noted, and I quote, "did this young man go to waiter school or something? He is lovely". My brother and I also mentioned to the other waiter that it was my mums birthday and he kindly organised a special surprise for her with desert (see pictures). Absolutely exceptional service this time around and a massive, massive improvement - I even received tomato sauce with my order without having to ask more than once, ha.
Now for the important stuff. Oh the food. Oh the value. Cafe Greco offers a great range with their "15 choices for $15" (see pictured). Each of those meals are full sized and come with a drink - what VALUE.
I opted for the Chicken Gyros Wrap, and although an extremely delicious choice, one bite of my brothers Penne Ionian, I knew I made a terrible mistake. Don't get me wrong, the wrap was super soft and chicken was scrumptious, but the Penne was a whole other level, even good enough for me to overthrow the feature of tzatziki in the wrap which is my favourite. For those who enjoy a creamy napoli sauce, you HAVE to try this. Overall, again I cannot repeat how value this was to include a drink and an amazing meal for $15. Amazing.
In terms of desert, we all shared a few servings of the Apple Crumble and the New York Cheesecake amongst ourselves. Being a big fan of apple crumble, I had high expectations that were just shot in the face. Apple Crumble? I was so tempted as to collect all the menus in the restaurant, pull my sharpie out of my handbag (as every woman obviously has handy on them at all times in their handbags, just like our microwaves), and cross out "Crumble" on every menu. The pastry was sided with just Apple, no Crumble whatsoever. After experiencing the most disheartening, plot twist of the century, I mourned and grieved for my dear apple crumble, and finally gathered the strength to ask my dad for a taste of his New York Cheesecake. I mentioned before I believed in miracles, but this was a resurrection. Oh my. What a perfect combination of a crumbly yet chewy texture - possibly the finest cheese cake I've had. The aforementioned waiter stressed that he'd highly recommend the cheesecake and after tasting it, I had to question how he'd allow for such a CRIME to occur when I'd ordered the Apple Crumble instead. Anyways, long story short, [not really, seeing as you'd read everything to get up to here], get the New York Cheesecake.

Nice Ambience, Good Food, Fast Service, Friendly Staff and Value For Money. Will Definitely be going back for more. Loved the Meat Platter!!
Hands down to one of the amazing affordable best value seafood platter in the west!! The seafood was cooked to perfection. The fish was crispy but a lot of fish meat inside. The calamri is not processed and not overly battered. The scallops had amazing toppings and prawns and octopus wre massive! Could feed a family of four. Salad on the side was not plain but plenty of flavours.
The place is family friendly and the outdoor ambience is comfortable even during winter. Would definitely go back!
Love the 15 options for $15 during the week, amazing calamari and lamb gyro wrap, service is always good, food is a tad pricey when the $15 specials aren't on
The food is amazing and abundant. The service is lacking but the food makes up for it. We quite often share a meat platter. It says for two but easily feeds four. I definitely go when I can.
I didn't even know his place existed! Such a hidden away, affordable and delicious place. I wish more people knew!
The restaurant itself is actually gorgeous. Great for any meal of the day. On a warm day, I highly recommend eating outside. It's beautiful.
The staffs are so lovely. Always making sure we are happy and paying close attention to our needs, even before we asked.
The food itself was good. The menu has really interesting pizza options! My boyfriend got the Greco Lamb Pizza which came with a dipping sauce. Really great quality ingredients. I opted for something simple; calamari and salad. If my calamari was crispier I would be so delighted. It wasn't soggy and still tastes lovely. Really generous serving too.
I highly recommend this place if you're in the area and ran out of places / things to eat! Worth checking out.
Wow!! Talk about spoilt for choice, the menu options are incredible and the food matches the options. :)
Previous reviews had left me with a great impression of what to expect and I was not disappointed. Taking my parents out for a nice lunch and catchup turned out to be a great success when we were able to upgrade the seafood platter for two to a seafood platter for three without any fuss whatsoever. All items served on the platter were cooked and presented to perfection, served with complementing sauces that matched brilliantly in addition to a terrific side salad. And we were all incredibly impressed by the prompt, friendly service as well. This has quickly become a new local favourite for return visits and is highly recommended. :)
Went there last night was great food. I had the gyros which was really nice and my wife had the chicken with mushroom sauce. Her chicken was a bit over done but I tell ya the mushroom sauce is to die for !!!!!! Definitely one to check out
Went to this place sometime last week. We ordered paella and a 300g steak with the choice of mushroom. They both tasted pretty good. Love how smooth the sauce was and paella was amazing! Table outside is a better option. Definitely will come back
The Notorious Masked Bandit
+3.5
Caught up with some friends here through the week, all in all the service and good wasn't to bad!
We went on a Wednesday night and had the option of the 15 meals for $15 selection, I went with a lamb gyros wrap with some saganaki for entree!
The meal was reasonable size and a good value for $15
My only downside and probably my most hated thing at any restaurant is that the menu is way to big, it has to many different options and variety's for my liking, this makes it harder for me to decide what to order and also what there best dishes would be!
Great value for money on the $15 for 15 choices menu, able to eat a meal at restaurant quality cooked by chefs along with table service for the price of fast food. Recommendations on the special are the wraps, burgers and pizzas which are filling and enjoyable. On the main menu The meat & seafood platters are great to share and include a variety of food. overall a good experience and would recommend to others.
Have never been disappointed with the food here. A great place to meet with friends for a night of decadence. The meat platter is great to share. Yum, yum, yum!
I love Greek food, Greco is a bit hit or miss I've been there and thought the food was fantastic and other times where I felt it was too oily. The service is friendly the the location and set up is good. I wouldn't say it was value for money but it isn't bad. Better then average but I wouldn't go out my way, worth a pop in if your in the area!
Since the introduction of streat in Watergardens I’ve frequented and watched how these restaurants have developed over time. Cafe Greco used to be under a different name that I can’t quite remember, El Greco maybe? But I do remember the food being much better quality and fresher because I’d order the lamb shank pie and it’d come out piping hot and so meaty, but every time I came back the quality started to decline (the lamb shank pie is now removed from the menu). The same went for the moussaka which used to be in a round pan and made fresh. Then it turned into a smaller chunk of moussaka with the possibility of it being cold in the middle from being reheated poorly. Then finally a bigger lasagna size moussaka. Those were my 2 favourite dishes at the pre-Cafe Greco. Still I suggested Cafe Greco to my bf for today’s dinner as they have 15 choices for $15 menu options which is definitely value for money.
Love their gyros pizzas. Been here a few times and their pizzas never disappoint me. Generous amount of sauce and meat which is good if you wanna get away from the usual HSPs. Their seafood paella was full of flavour, but maybe a little overcooked.
The seafood paella is so good. DEFINITELY ORDER IT! I dream of eating this dish when I know we are eating out for dinner. Owner & staff are always friendly. Can get a little loud inside when it's busy, but it adds to the atmosphere. Enjoy watching the cooks and seeing all the dishes being prepared.
Love the greek food here very tasteful and delicious i come here often with my mrs for our lamb cravings. Cant go wrong with the lamb gyros they are generous with the amount of food on your plate our experince coming here has always been positive
If you love lamb, this is the place to eat! The tzatiki dip is amazing, friend and I ordered the platter, says it's for 2, but is enough to defs feed 3. Comes with salad, bread, potatoes, dip, lamb, chicken. Would have eaten more, but was so full. Coffee and cake very reasonably priced too, if you just want a treat. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely setting, can sit in or outdoors. Will be coming back!
I'm a regular at cafe Greco literally I'm there at least 4 times a week including last night . I've become close with all the staff members and I wouldn't say one bad thing about this place. The $15 specials are awesome for what you get I usually get the Parma and for me it's quite large for the price. The staff are always friendly and have a smile. My kids feel at home at this place and i wouldn't have it any other way.
Calamari was delicious! $15 lunch special with soft drink. Very tender!!! Chips where cooked well. Only had to wait around 15 min for the meal. Will be back!
GREAT PLATTERS. We are often at this restaurant, and enjoy the meat or seafood platters. great $$ value, cant go wrong - good service, and coffees here are really good.
I got the Atlantic Salmon, $26 – Char-grilled salmon fillet served on lemonato potatoes with capers, rocket and seeded mustard salad. It was fabulous...
It's all good. Last night we visited with friends from interstate, we shared a meat mixed platter and a seafood mixed platter. The food was all delicious and I could not fault anything on the plate. The service was so efficient all the staff knew there job and did it well. The Standouts for food on the plate for me was the beer battered fish, the dip, the roast potatoes and the gyros but as mentioned before everything was good. I ordered a reAlly lovely tasting Shiraz at $9 a glass and we had baklava for dessert that was also nice (wish it had some rose water in it) great meal and will definatly will be going back again. Just to add I watched all the meals coming out and everything looked great and it was good to see behind the counter as most of the meals were freshly cooked. Our interstate visitors said next time they are down we will come back to visit again. Pleased by all.
Amazing food, great service. Fantastic value for money. Don't listen to me or anyone try it yourself..it will not disappoint..

Amazing food great service brilliant prices what more you want. People stop..don't go by any one's review try for yourself there are a lot of selfish people out there they will put down every business because they live a miserable life and hate to see others succeed.. Great local restaurant this is... Great Job to Watergardens management for picking something like this for our area.
Casual, relaxed, no frills Cafe. Great service, attentive staff, very generous servings! We shared a plate of really tender calamari with chips salad and mayonnaise and a plate of tasty mixed meat grilled meats.
Great service by the staff. Had the $20 lunch special garlic prawn with jasmine rice + lemon squash. The food was nice and really tasty, came in super hot. The serving portion's good as well, the prawns though were on the smaller scale, so only getting 5 prawns might not be enough for some to finish the rice that comes with it especially if you are after the prawn rather than the rice. The sauce, however, was amazing. The place wasn't too busy when we came in so it was a bit quiet which was nice for an early lunch.
The food was pretty good as was the service. The venue was quite loud so if you want to chat while eating you need to raise your voice.
Have always enjoyed my meals the older man with glasses makes us feel comfortable and the waitresses always nice, couldn't even finish the steak.
Cafe Greco is one of our go to local restaurants for Greek food. The portion sizes are fairly big, so great for big appetites! The vibe of the place is friendly and family orientated. Our waiter was very polite and professional. A great place for a meal if you plan on going to the Hoyts Cinema right next door. I can certainly recommend this restaurant.
My friend and I received wonderful service. The atmosphere was amazing and service just as good. The food was ultra delish but wayyyyy too big. I think the platter for two is more like a platter for 4 girls and maybe for 2 if two hungry males had it. Staff were lovely with takeaway containers and service was with a big smile
