We took a short detour off the Pacific Highway on our drive from South West Rocks back to Sydney. We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch (we were on a tight tine schedule to get the hire car back!). We were lucky enough to find this gem of a place. Exceptionally friendly staff & superb food in great surroundings. The Thai fishcakes were delicious. Highly recommended.
I was driving back home from taree stop in at tea gardens that havent been to before was absolutely beautiful place.
Had lunch at the boat shed had fish n chips and my partner had the soft crab burger friendly staff very quick of getting our lunch and it was beautiful..i shall be going back there for sure
Full marks for service. Seriously the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. Also the best espresso coffee I’ve had in the entire region. Excellent food and not too expensive either.
Excellent lunch.shared 2 entrees- dick salad and pulled lamb croquettes both gf and df!! yay. Plus fab sweet potato chips. Lovely spot on the river.
- Cute little restaurant on the water
- Friendly waitresses
- We opted for the three course meal deal
- Had the specials for our main course and they were both scrumptious.
- Dessert was a bit too rich with a lot of sweet elements. It needed something more than the sour cherries on the side, to cut through it all.
Great service. Coffee was amazing! Had a table of 12, food came out at the same time. Pouched eggs were perfect! You need to make sure you book on Sunday as really busy
Ironically, the best steak I have ever had. Sassy, knowledgeable and friendly staff, reasonably priced wine, great view. We went as a large group and everyone was happy with their food which was all fresh, very well presented and prepared with care. Do it.
The carrot cake was amazing. Great coffee. Service was fantastic
Great place.. Food and location are awesome. Went back a second time it was so good.
Absolutely outstanding food, service and view. Vanilla and Caramel cheesecake is a triumph!
Was the most amazing breakfast ever not to mention beautiful views over the water highly recommend this place will be coming here again :)
Great spot right in the water with Myall River outlook. The prawn dumplings were delicious as a starter and we both had their fish & chips. Wonderful, thin batter & definitely clean oil - other meals around us also looked great. Nice day out from Port Stephens & even had the luck to see a couple of dolphins. Beautiful setting, lovely service & very nice food, definitely worth the trip.
Enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day brunch at the Boatshed. The view is beautiful and we saw dolphins from our table. Service was just okay. Whenever we needed something we had to flag someone down because after being seated, no one came to check on us. Since we were celebrating, I ordered my “fancy” drink—dirty chai tea—but I think I would have been happier with a flat white. However, my soba noodles were incredible! Delicious, fresh flavors. Highly recommend this dish.
Great place for a delicious lunch with a lovely view over the water. The staff were lovely and friendly and they have gluten free options
We went as a group of 10 for lunch on a Saturday. They had plenty of vacant seating on the deck and out the front and we didn't have to book.
There was table service inside and on the deck.
Everything was good on the steak sandwich except that they used 'plastic' cheese.
There was too much avo in a big chunk on the crab burger for one of us, but the chutney was really good and our teen son enjoyed his.
There was not much papaya in the mango prawn papaya salad, but it was nice.
The calamari tacos were 'so good' the 12 year old said, and it was very nicely presented.
The turmeric latte was served with a pot and strainer and made on coconut milk. It was mild flavoured and you could really taste the coconut milk.
The pork belly bao was lovely. The kimchi gave it a bit of heat.
The 6 and 8 year old said they enjoyed the salad which came with the fish and chips as well.
Eat in menu not available out the front - seperate takeaway menu which was not available or visible out the front. We were asked to wear a mask when not at the table inside on the alfresco deck. There was some art for sale on the deck wall and I liked that they used paper straws to be environmentally conscious.
Lovely place next to a river. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff are really friendly. Menu for breakfast had a great selection.
Spectacular water views…food is amazing…menu has wide variety of items…excellent customer service…recommended
Waterfront restaurant on the Myall River. Good service, extensive drinks menu & boutique food menu primarily seafood. Decor very rustic like a boatshed! Beautiful food!
