We have just come home from our second visit to Base Camp and we had great food again.
Each dish had clean flavours and the different ingredients could be identified. The lamb in the Saag was beautiffuly succulent pieces in a very tasty sauce. The Railways fish was equally well prepared.
The service was very good. Attentive but not intrusive.
This restaurant deserves a try. We'll be regulars as we are so impressed.
Fantastic, authentic Nepalese cuisine. The food at Base Camp is delicious and full of flavour. It takes me back to the restaurants in Kathmandu. I highly recommend the vegetarian momos! The chutney served with them is to 'dine' for. 😋

Best Indian meal we have had in a long time....such a good find! Korma was sensational, Vindaloo was spicy but still had a beautiful blend of flavours; this is our new favourite Indian restaurant
BaseCamp has excellent food, lovely staff, and plenty of of vegan options! It is a regular eat-in and takeaway for us in Templestowe. Love the Momos and Pumpkin Masala in particular.
Cannot fault. Great coeliac options too. Favourite is Paneer and vindaloo . Regular customers from Eltham , lovely to eat in and generous serves with takeaway. Thank you.
The food was amazing, offered gluten free options which suits our coeliac diet. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Will definitely be dining here again.
Discovered Base Camp, that is off the main street up by the IGA, while on a walk. It is Indian with a twist - Birmingham Balti and Nepalese. The staff were delightful and the food was excellent with nice seasonings, portions larger than most, and very fairly priced. Will be returning.
Went there on busy Saturday night
Must tell the atmosphere was great, had been to Basecamp Notecote earlier and expected similar service, but this place exceeded my expectations. Food was great , ordered Balti Beef for mains and it was lovely so was Chicken dumplings.
Server was attentive and friendly. Certainly going back again.
Lovely Indian restaurant, a little tucked away, near IGA.
Great dishes. Lamb balti was yum and so were the eggplant curry and prawn dish. The garlic naan was generous serve and tasted delicious. Do try the mango lassi too!
Newly opened, but service was good and friendly. Had a little trouble finding it, but they were happy to help with directions.
