Review Nom Nom's - Toorak

Manager was very lovely and attentive, food is amazing here too, would high recommend the duck noodle soup and duck dried noodles. Everything here is handmade as well, their dumplings are a must try, with a new Apple Pie addition.

What a great little restaurant. Small and cosy. Fantastic quality. Mum in the kitchen and her son working front of house. Meals cooked in a wonderful homestyle fashion. Dumplings are exceptional and their handmade noodles are excellent. Prices are a tad higher than other asian style takeaways but thats down to the quality of the food being served. Definately worth you stopping by.

What an awesome place, loved the extremely tasty pho made fresh by the mum who was very friendly, plus the son who made us feel very welcome who made us a fresh mango smoothie that tasted fantastic. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be back

Nom Nom’s - Kooyong, VIC Scotch Fillet Pho Today I found myself in Kooyong - I wasn’t sure if much else happens in Kooyong apart from a really expensive place to play tennis for rich people who probably have tennis courts in their backyards but I was here at Nom Nom’s to find out! Nom Nom’s is run by a very proud and lovely guy called Michael and his mother, Even though I was at a business meeting I seemed to have found out more about Michael over lunch than I would find out about someone on a first date. He’s more than willing to chat about their special dishes and the prospect of a new bar opening around the corner. Michael is good, Michael is great and Michael used to be a fashion photographer. I dug into the menu and ordered their scotch fillet pho with some extra Chinese broccoli because maybe vegetables would help repair my body from the damage that had been done on the weekend. The bowls came out and my god they were picture perfect, Spring onions, yes. Sliced onions, yes. Crispy Garlic, yes! a very good looking amount of sliced beef, yes!! This bowl was well presented and it didn’t stop there, it presented well in my mouth and on my tongue too! The taste was bold and had plenty of those distinct pho spices present. I would say this is more similar to a southern Vietnamese pho, a bit sweeter and a bit bolder than the Northern counterpart. The chinese broccoli made a great addition - everything mixed in quite well indeed! I would love to see the addition of some chili oil to the table but Michael’s homemade chili powder definitely added some sinus opening heat to the dish. I can’t wait to return here to try their duck noodle soup, I love duck and I love soup. 🥢🥢🥢🥢🥢 Broth Flavour: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5 Soup ingredients: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5 Service: 🍜🍜🍜🍜.5/5 Overall: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5 🥢🥢🥢🥢🥢 #melbournesoupfluencer

Nom Noms is a rare gem that encapsulates the sprit of home cooking. I don’t normally write reviews but I figured this was a rare find and it was worth writing something about. The food here is all fresh and you really get a nice homey touch to all the food similar to how your mum might cook food.

I ordered the Scotch Fillet Pho and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavourful the broth was. The entire meal was very easy to eat and I found myself with an empty bowl in seconds. The meat was also tender and everything seasoned well.

Not to mention the service was really fast and the family super friendly. They’ve mentioned that the hosts of MasterChef actually dined there and really enjoyed all their food. So if that isn’t a reason to visit I don’t know what is.

Very nice family owned business, excellent quality food. The rice paper rolls are delicious, as well as the padan sponge cake. People are very friendly.

Delightful owners, fantastic food and excellent coffee. I always come away satisfied!

Easy parking just across the road at the train station.

Went to have some pho at this place with my partner and we weren’t disappointed. The bone broth was clean and very tasty. We ended up licking the bowl clean without the oh so familiar sickly feeling of heartburn with oily Asian food. We tried the Pandan cake on display as well. It wasn’t the usual chiffon type cake I’m used to back in Singapore, it was more dense, moist and buttery; also very delicious. This place is more on the pricier side but nothing unexpected from a place that’s located in toorak and also one that sources top quality ingredients. The owner and her son were lovely and very personable. I enjoyed my conversation with the son, evidently a fellow foodie! Definitely will make another trip back to try other items on the menu.
Loving it! It’s a very homemade style Vietnamese food restaurant with awesome friendly family staffs. Try their lamya, rich spicy coconut soup base with barramundi fillet. They recently opened for dinner, so their deep fried chicken is really delicious, the best fried chicken i had tried. Their chicken jerky (seasonal) is really nice too hopefully they put in menu! Ended with a cup of matcha latte surprisingly available too :)

Again, this is one of my favourite neighbours cafe. It serves good homemade comfort food. I would recommend the duck congee, duck noodles and the veggie dumplings. The boss lady who is also the chef and her son are both very nice and caring. Though there r less than five cafes in this suburb, every one of them is unique and serves great food.

Popped into this lovely cafe this morning looking for a hearty breakfast on a rainy Monday morning. Walked away with a delicious duck congee that I inhaled way too quickly and a free coffee. Service was genuine and I even got to practice my Cantonese with the cook/cafe owner. (She's super lovely!) Compliments to both the lovely gentleman who served me and the wonderful lady who made the congee just the way I like it. Thick, delicious with generous amounts of duck and ginger. 😍 brings back childhood memories. Thank you. I will be back with family in tow.

I am a regular here - Michael makes the best coffees and his mum is very friendly. There are people who want to sit in a cafe all day even when they are closing after breakfast- give this genuine family business a go

Nom Nom's is a very small and clean Asian cafe which is operated by a mother and her son.

Roast Pork rice paper rolls were made from fresh ingredients, and were tasty. The sauce was good too.

Beef pho was a very comforting taste. They didn't use MSG, and it was more flavourful than any other pho place. Scotch fillet was very tender and tasted great.

Cappuccino was dark and flavourful.

I enjoyed everything! Their price is higher than other Pho places, but it is worth to spend your money.

Their service was one of the best I'd ever had. It was very warm and personal, yet not overwhelming. I will definitely return soon.

Nom Nom's is a little corner Asian fusion restaurant on Glenferrie Rd. Now when I say little... this is probably one of the smallest restaurants I've ever eaten at. Small sized eateries are quite popular nowadays, smaller floor space equals cheaper rent for the owner. Also from the customer's perspective, this generally results in better service as you don't have to wave your arms like a lunatic just to get someone's attention.

This high level of service is translated through at Nom Nom's. Michael made sure we were well looked after, constantly checking up to see how we were going and if we needed anything. He takes the time to run through the foods on the menu and he highly recommended the Pho to me. He said the Pho tastes different from other places and they use scotch fillet beef. With a sign boasting 'best Pho in town' I guess I owe it to myself to give this a go! The bowl that it came out in was very fancy shmancy indeed... it looked kinda like a giant spoon. Aesthetics aside, this was a quality bowl of Pho. The soup base tasted like it had a boosting of beef flavours. Great texture with the noodles and the scotch fillet beef was really soft! Just wish I got a bit more... but for the price of $5 for extra beef, I may have to pass on that. I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl of Pho. It seems to be made with love too as Michael told me that all the food is made by his mum. My friend got the Duck Curry noodles which was also very tasty and he said it reminded him of a home cooked meal.

Now I gotta be honest, I did find the prices a little steep here. $16 for a bowl of Pho is the most I've ever paid. It's about 50% more expensive than most places. However it's justified to an extent because of the location and the high quality. They also offered us complimentary cake for dessert which was a nice touch. Just don't expect Springvale, Richmond or Footscray Vietnamese restaurant prices here, otherwise you'll be in for a shock. Although I cannot be certain, I have a feeling they don't use MSG here either. I didn't get that thirsty feeling later on in the day, and Michael did say that they use a lot of bones in the stock to get the flavour.

I love supporting small businesses and I've added Nom Nom's to the list. This family run restaurant produces high quality food along with excellent customer service. I'll be back to try out some of their other dishes that's for sure!

These guys have the best food especially the chicken and prawn dumplings and chicken noodles. Also they have the best customer service, recommending the best dishes for hot and cold days and the most filling dishes if you are hungry.

Absolutely loved Nom Nom's.

Small shop, very friendly and helpful service, delicious and satisfying food.

If I lived closer, this would be my go-to eatery. :)
Check Please
This is a tiny family run cafe specialising in Asian food, coffee and cake and a smattering of take away rice paper rolls and curry. And it is all made in house without an additive or MSG in site. I recommend heartily for fresh honest fabulous food.

So glad to have found this gem!
Nothing mass produced here .. fresh and "homemade" with love and by Mum, Se Am.
Son, Mykal looks after the diners and the passion from the kitchen flows into the tiny restaurant. We loved our food and are planning to work our way through the rest of the menu as it all sounds terrific.
The pièce de résistance ....... you can enjoy a great coffee and cake (yes the carrot muffin was also made by Mum) after your Asian fusion meal.

Brilliant ,authentic , amaaaazing!!. We are fortunate enough to live within walking distance of Nom Nom's and it's our lunch spot of choice almost every weekend. The Pho is easily the most delicious I've ever had and the dumplings are excellent. A really wonderful family run business where the food is a testament to the time and love put into it. Highly recommend!1

Tiny, Authentic, Friendly and Fresh!

Was a little conflicted about adding another glowing review to this wonderful local eatery, fearing it might be harder to nab a table next time, but Michael and his family deserve every accolade.

The hot pot was indeed excellent, but we enjoyed the duck congee and mild tom yum even more. What makes this place stand out is the quality of the broths used as a base for the various soupy dishes. Forget the watery, almost bleachy-tasting stocks of Victoria Street, and head to Nom Noms for the real deal. Michael will make you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door and you can tell he is the number one fan of his mum's cooking--and with good reason.

Don't expect to score one of the four tables unless you have a booking!

Nom Noms. After a bill for 50 for two plates of food, one being a soup, I would have expected amazing flavours, what I got was bland flavours. Do not recommend

Great Honest Food.. This tiny little restaurant/cafe has very quickly developed a loyal following
of regulars and for good reason. Owner/operator Michael and his lovely mum serve up some of the tastiest and freshest fare in town.

The Scotch fillet Pho is amazing as everything else we've tried. Special mention though for the lovely hot-pot served with a selection of seasonal vegies, tofu, prawns and that scotch fillet again.

Open breakfast to lunch throughout the week they have unfortunately had to wind back dinner to just Thursday nights to give themselves some time to sleep. Bookings are recommended then for dinner lest you end up one of those queuing for this honest, fresh and unpretentious home style fusion cooking.

Great job guys. We'll be back... again.
