Nom Nom makes the best duck noodle soup I’ve had in Melbourne! Friendly and fast service, can’t wait to come back!
Thank you to Michael and his Mum for delicious food and delightful service! Your passion and pride in your restaurant is so refreshing and your dishes have so much flavour- Can't wait to go back!
We took away from here. Amazing food, hot and ready to go when ordered.
Will be back often.
I really enjoyed my noodle breakfast here this morning. Love the mom & son feel to the place and it was a pleasure meeting you Michael. Good quality home style cooking!
Nom Noms is a rare gem that encapsulates the sprit of home cooking. I don’t normally write reviews but I figured this was a rare find and it was worth writing something about. The food here is all fresh and you really get a nice homey touch to all the food similar to how your mum might cook food.
I ordered the Scotch Fillet Pho and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavourful the broth was. The entire meal was very easy to eat and I found myself with an empty bowl in seconds. The meat was also tender and everything seasoned well.
Not to mention the service was really fast and the family super friendly. They’ve mentioned that the hosts of MasterChef actually dined there and really enjoyed all their food. So if that isn’t a reason to visit I don’t know what is.
Very nice family owned business, excellent quality food. The rice paper rolls are delicious, as well as the padan sponge cake. People are very friendly.
Delightful owners, fantastic food and excellent coffee. I always come away satisfied!
Easy parking just across the road at the train station.
Went to have some pho at this place with my partner and we weren’t disappointed. The bone broth was clean and very tasty. We ended up licking the bowl clean without the oh so familiar sickly feeling of heartburn with oily Asian food. We tried the Pandan cake on display as well. It wasn’t the usual chiffon type cake I’m used to back in Singapore, it was more dense, moist and buttery; also very delicious. This place is more on the pricier side but nothing unexpected from a place that’s located in toorak and also one that sources top quality ingredients. The owner and her son were lovely and very personable. I enjoyed my conversation with the son, evidently a fellow foodie! Definitely will make another trip back to try other items on the menu.
Loving it! It’s a very homemade style Vietnamese food restaurant with awesome friendly family staffs. Try their lamya, rich spicy coconut soup base with barramundi fillet. They recently opened for dinner, so their deep fried chicken is really delicious, the best fried chicken i had tried. Their chicken jerky (seasonal) is really nice too hopefully they put in menu! Ended with a cup of matcha latte surprisingly available too :)
Again, this is one of my favourite neighbours cafe. It serves good homemade comfort food. I would recommend the duck congee, duck noodles and the veggie dumplings. The boss lady who is also the chef and her son are both very nice and caring. Though there r less than five cafes in this suburb, every one of them is unique and serves great food.
Popped into this lovely cafe this morning looking for a hearty breakfast on a rainy Monday morning. Walked away with a delicious duck congee that I inhaled way too quickly and a free coffee. Service was genuine and I even got to practice my Cantonese with the cook/cafe owner. (She's super lovely!) Compliments to both the lovely gentleman who served me and the wonderful lady who made the congee just the way I like it. Thick, delicious with generous amounts of duck and ginger. 😍 brings back childhood memories. Thank you. I will be back with family in tow.
I am a regular here - Michael makes the best coffees and his mum is very friendly. There are people who want to sit in a cafe all day even when they are closing after breakfast- give this genuine family business a go
Manager was very lovely and attentive, food is amazing here too, would high recommend the duck noodle soup and duck dried noodles. Everything here is handmade as well, their dumplings are a must try, with a new Apple Pie addition.
What a great little restaurant. Small and cosy. Fantastic quality. Mum in the kitchen and her son working front of house. Meals cooked in a wonderful homestyle fashion. Dumplings are exceptional and their handmade noodles are excellent. Prices are a tad higher than other asian style takeaways but thats down to the quality of the food being served. Definately worth you stopping by.
Delicious food! Definitely worth the price, we had the duck noodle soup and dumplings - incredible! Will for sure be back 😍
What an awesome place, loved the extremely tasty pho made fresh by the mum who was very friendly, plus the son who made us feel very welcome who made us a fresh mango smoothie that tasted fantastic.
Definitely recommend a visit and we will be back
An amazing meal. I had the Lam Ya and it was excellent. A very charming place. I will definitely be back !
Very rich duck noodle soup!
this place is amazing and the food was great! we’ll be sure to try the chicken next time we come by :)
Nom Nom’s - Kooyong, VIC
Scotch Fillet Pho
Today I found myself in Kooyong - I wasn’t sure if much else happens in Kooyong apart from a really expensive place to play tennis for rich people who probably have tennis courts in their backyards but I was here at Nom Nom’s to find out!
Nom Nom’s is run by a very proud and lovely guy called Michael and his mother, Even though I was at a business meeting I seemed to have found out more about Michael over lunch than I would find out about someone on a first date. He’s more than willing to chat about their special dishes and the prospect of a new bar opening around the corner. Michael is good, Michael is great and Michael used to be a fashion photographer. I dug into the menu and ordered their scotch fillet pho with some extra Chinese broccoli because maybe vegetables would help repair my body from the damage that had been done on the weekend. The bowls came out and my god they were picture perfect, Spring onions, yes. Sliced onions, yes. Crispy Garlic, yes! a very good looking amount of sliced beef, yes!! This bowl was well presented and it didn’t stop there, it presented well in my mouth and on my tongue too! The taste was bold and had plenty of those distinct pho spices present. I would say this is more similar to a southern Vietnamese pho, a bit sweeter and a bit bolder than the Northern counterpart. The chinese broccoli made a great addition - everything mixed in quite well indeed! I would love to see the addition of some chili oil to the table but Michael’s homemade chili powder definitely added some sinus opening heat to the dish. I can’t wait to return here to try their duck noodle soup, I love duck and I love soup.
