Best Mexican food I have had (outside Mexico) ... great service and great staff
Best Mexican in Torquay served up by legends!
The best Mexican food on the coast. I’ve tried all the different tacos and they reminded me of my time in Mexico. The jack fruit & potato are amazing. The Margaritas are great too.

Wow what a great find ! if you love Mexican then this place is certainly worth visiting, very impressed with the quality of the food, not a large selection on the menu but what is there is beautifully cooked with great flavors. Good selection of beers including a couple from Mexico, reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff ....... we’ll absolutely go back !!!
We went here for the first time on a cold Tuesday night and were both impressed by the quality of the food and friendly service. The food was very good and in portions that were just the right size. It was nice to be able get reasonably priced draft beer as an alternative to expensive bottled beer and, wine by the glass. Based on our experience we shall certainly return and we can see why this place was so popular on a bleak mid-week night.
Tall handsome waiter with dark hair and glasses was a legend. Food was good too and cocktails were well made. Will recommend to the other mums at aerobics
Safe to say our special night at Alisito’s was a memorable one. Faced with the tough, yet necessary decision of ordering our main meals, my girlfriend and I (upon reflecting on the experience) were thrilled with the available options, especially the ‘Nachos (GF, V)’ + additional Guacamole (totaling a mere $20). As pictured below, the nachos made heads turn, mouths dribble, and most importantly stomachs churn. Ask yourself, what do you get when 2 people with chronic diarrhoea have 1 toilet in their home? Splitting the toilet down the middle isn’t as easy as it seems. After clashing rear ends and exchanging loose and watery stools, we both agreed that while the ceramic dish of slop granted our bungholes forceful power, overall it was a very pleasant dining experience, with great service and friendly staff. Give Alisito’s a shot for yourself and enjoy a pleasurable but unforgiving experience!
Great vibe place right next to the camp ground and other shops. Reminds me of Brunswick Street! Away from the main Esplanade so you can get a park easily. Food was good, unfortunately not great. The nachos had some strange cheese sauce that didn’t taste like cheese and was too liquid so the chips were soggy. The beef burrito was a bit dry. However, the side sauce was delish with a hint of chilli and the home made hot sauce was a winner! Bonus points goes to the staff who were friendly and the live music. Support local talent!
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. The food is absolutely delicious and portion sizes are just right. The drinks are priced reasonably and the Margarita's are spot on. Just the perfect ratio of tequila to not feel sick and have memories of a bad shot from a night out. Highly recommend and will be back.
Amazing, genuine mexican food. The food was delicious, all brought out together so no one was waiting on their food. The customer service was really unique and lovely.
Chicken enchilada was very nice and the range of mexican beer was a fun adventure to say the least. They also do home made hot sauce, which was very nice indeed. Staff was also very nice and fun.
