You know you’re in for an interesting experience as soon as you enter, care has been taken to create the perfect atmosphere for casual dining.
A professional & friendly greeting, run through of the menu & we were left to browse a diverse range of dishes.
The food came quickly & our group of 10 praised every meal. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Food tasted and looked really authentic. Be prepared to eat with your hands, although thats half the fun!
Twelve of us had dinner there and choose the banquet. The food was very good, our host was very attentive and accommodating and the restaurant itself was good and clean. In regards to cost the banquet was well priced. In regards to authenticity - I figure if other African folk eat there it must be authentic.
Note- No knives and forks, so be prepared to eat the traditional way - which is no problem. Also they have back room with a couple of pool tables if you feel like stretching your legs. Would recommend this restaurant.
This is a hidden gem. It's not widely known outside the small African community here but it ought to be. Full marks for the food and the decoration which the proprietor has gone to great efforts to install.
The food alone here, is worth contesting over a car park in the busy street for. This place serves up tasty, authentic & well priced ethiopian food! Greeted by the smiling owner you immediately feel very welcomed. He takes the time to talk you through the menu & how to eat the delicious dishes with the injera (pancake style bread). This place is value for money & offers a very speakeasy kind of vibe. Always busy which is a good sign but not a surprise.
My first experience with African cuisine. It was like travelling. I loved the place and the vibe. Something really unique and different. I highly recommend the experience. Food was tasty and great portions
Absolutely beautiful food, fantastic tea. Set in a unique beautiful setting accompanied by friendly polite staff. Everything was served with a beautiful smile from both the waiter and waitress.
The food was absolutely delicious and wholesome. It was also my first time trying Ethiopian tea and I loved it. Thank you for the wholesome feed.
The food was awesome, customer service is fine, limited place to park on Friday night, and limited seats options. Positive experience in general
If you want to taste some amazing food made to perfection and want to immerse yourself in this cuisine, then definitely check this place out.
I recommend first timers get the Taste Of Ethiopia plate which gives a little bit of everything, served on delish injera bread.
Forget the cutlery, the injera bread is for ripping up and scooping the food up with your fingers. (There's napkins and hand sanitiser on every table, don't worry!)
You will leave feeling full and satisfied. We have always left raving about our visits and bring friends... who then visit again and bring their friends!
One of our guests had a peanut allergy and they accommodated it flawlessly.
Finally we finished up with a huge pot of delicious traditional tea with cinnamon, thyme, mint and clove.
Make sure you book.
