Tucked away in a corner was delighted to find good coffee. Had a hard time finding a good place that compared to Melbourne coffee. Great service too. Was not able to stop for food - next time!
A really genuine and friendly welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. Good coffee promptly served and order for breakfast processed.
The Gypsey Eggs were a recommended speciality and did not disappoint. Served in a cast iron skillett, hot and very satisfying.
Table clearing appeared rather slow for the number of staff however this was the only adverse observation.
Delicious breakfast and really fast service. I highly recommend the Rosti Stack. Waffle was good but very sweet. Coffee was great.

That place on sturt is An absolute winner but the drip coffee is a def miss. Lovely decor and a warm environment. Window treats are delicious
Dream Coffee - Excellent food. That Place is excellent has friendly staff and excellent cheap home made food. Coffee is a superior smooth blend, staff are well trained in the art of coffee making.
Poaching- a true crime... Decided to come in for a quick breakfast before embarking on a stronder in town, ordered poached eggs and late and was hastily met with my request.
The coffee here has to be up there with one of the best I've had in quite some time, and the poached eggs (which are the biggest hit and miss in my breakfast life) were hands down the best I've had..

Go for sweet potato chips if nothing else. The best sweet potato chips I've ever heard & I would return just to have the chips. Other 3 meals were adequate and we didn't stay long enough for coffees or drinks this time. Very very noisy so perhaps pick your time to visit, seemed to be THE place to be lunch in the city
Best Coffee in Townsville. When the craving come on a daily basis for great coffee, the first place I turn to is That Place on Sturt. I am always happy to make the drive into the city for That Place and am always happy with their great service and friendly staff. There are plenty of delish options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you're looking for good coffee, this is That Place (on Sturt).
Love the joint. Take away coffee is sometimes burnt, but table service has one of the best brews in Townsville. Nice decor but a bit of music wouldn't hurt. Still, my favourite cafe in town. Love it
My Favourite!. I come here as often as I can. I reckon its the BEST cafe in Townsville! The addition of the courtyard seating has made this a wonderful place to linger over amazing coffee! The food is fantastic also with plenty of vegetarian options available.
This place has charm and character! A perfect place to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a coffee by yourself or with a few friends. Love the funky decor with a homely feel and the choice to sit at a table or on a couch. Wide variety of meals to choose from and really friendly staff. Great location in the city with street parking.

Today we arrived a bit before closing and the music was turned off. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet for a change. I wish cafes had more quiet atmospheres. Always so noisy.
The breakfast burrito is delicious!! Also love the way the cold brew coffee comes out.
There’s nothing snazzy about this place, but I’d recommend it for a simple, tasty lunch served by pleasant staff. My waitress was efficient, friendly and polite. My BLT was delicious. I ordered hot chips, which were fine, on the side. Lovely coffee - though, confusingly, my “M” (for mug, the larger serving, as opposed to “C”, for a cup) was served in a glass. There is a courtyard, with tables and decent umbrellas, at the rear. A minor disappointment was the gravy which, though not flavourless, was too runny. That may be because it had to be made from scratch, but that’s no excuse.
Great coffee, lovely staff and a good stop to meet someone for a coffee. Tables are a little too small for my liking and it isn't particularly designed for groups larger than 4. You will be expected to pay for parking and to be honest, while the name of the establishment is clever, it's a nightmare to explain to someone where you are meeting them.
Great breakfast venue with some different options to enjoy, food was delicious and good sized servings. Coffee was excellent as well. Staff very friendly with top service given. Whenever in Townsville a breakfast at "That Place" is a must.
My favourite cafe in Townsville. I've had breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert here. Great gluten free options. Best coffee in town. Delicious food. Cute decor.Decent coffee, average food. Poached eggs were wet but nice fresh avo, but the guac on the breakfast burrito was brown? Some cute fittings in the cafe but really ugly signage and entrance.
