NAME CHANGE Cluden Park Motor Inn has undergone a name change and a facelift. Now known as Townsville Discovery Park and Motel Inn, the caravan park and motel have morphed into the new identity. The rooms in the motel are large, as is the bathrooms. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned, with a fridge and are spacious. The location is ideal for people visiting a family member based in the army (barracks are new door) or the Cluden Race Course. There is a large shopping centre 600 meters up the road which is ideal for people who wish to purchase groceries to be self sufficient. The motel has a chef to cook a hot breakfast if desired or you can have a basic continental breakfast. Accessibility for wheelchairs and walkers into the rooms can be a challenge as the doors open inwards and the is a 5cm rise to get wheels over. Assistance to get into the rooms is required.

Great value for money. We booked in for one night and after seeing the room we booked 2 more night's. The room was large and clean with a kitchenette. Washing machine and dryer worked really well. We were worried about the traffic noise but it didn't bother us we got a good night's sleep. Lastly all the staff we spoke to were very friendly and happy it's nice to see a smiling face when you walk in the door.
