Food, beer and wine great. Accommodation great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing the entry door does not self close, possibly due to wet weather. Plus the bathroom door knob was a bit hard to open the door from the inside bathroom. The air conditioner where replaced was noticeable with unpainted patch to the left of air conditioner. Found the room a bit dark to find one light not working near kitchen area. Sheets not pressed but clean. Will be back.
Ended up here twice, second time when highway closed all day due to truck crash. Good menu. Good food, seniors meals. Easy parking. Helpful staff.
WOW, what a transformation, my last review / meal was very negative, however had dinner at the pub with friends last night and can't speak highly enough. I had the crispy skin salmon with vegetables and it was fabulous 👌 the rest of the group also very much enjoyed their meals.
Food was tasty, & quick. I asked for medium rare and it was more medium/well done. My son asked for rare & his was more medium. Apart from that, good atmosphere & decent prices. 👍

Ok, I'll admit it. When first arrived at this place my first thoughts were OMG were are they taking us for dinner.
The place looks rough as, definitely more of a rowdy sort of pub look and feel than a family venue.
With temporary outside tables that you get from office works or Kmart. It seemed like it was set up for a quick little family get together or like a Christmas party or similar. Not permanent seating for guest to use every day of the year.
So it's fair to say I really wasn't expecting much of the place and if it was just us and no one else we probably wouldn't have stayed.
Well....I'm so glad we did stay.
The service was great, while everyone else seems to be struggling for staff, these guys didn't seem to have any issues at all. There were plenty of staff around, all happy to jump in and help out with anything that needed to be done. They were all extremely friendly and seemed to try and go out of there way to help you out, even when they didn't need to.
Then the food, ohh wow, of our whole time in Townsville and having steaks at many places, the 300g rib fillet I had there that night, was easily the best I had in Townsville. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a Thursday night and others that we were with had to leave early, I would have definitely ordered a second one.
Gluten free and low fodmap diet was no issue for the chef. And speaking of the kitchen, despite having so many customers the good all seemed to come out very fast.
Yep, am definitely glad we came here for dinner during our trip to Townsville.
On our visit, the menu was more interesting than most, the food was good and staff friendly.
