Review Bricks And Stones - Unley

The customer service here was exceptional. You can get a glass of wine or a cocktail as well. Nice, trendy outdoor area which is pet friendly. Inside also had a funky vibe and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

My mushroom trio was delicious. Carrot cake was also one of the best I’ve had. It was unfortunate that we waited a long time for our food, otherwise this place deserves 5 stars.

Absolutely awesome. Super friendly staff, and instantly catering as soon as we walked in. The food was cooked to perfection, and the vibe of the place was great. Visit this place, you won't be disappointed.

Do yourself a favour, “All Day” eats and drinks here outdo expectations every time. Extensive brunch-come-mains cafe menu in an upscale style with serious house flair. Comfortable rustic setting inside and out, impeccable table service and coffee worth waking up for. Michael is just as charming and personable as it gets.

Happen to find this Cafe by chance on a Saturday afternoon it was open until 4pm unlike some of the other cafes around Unley. The food was amazing, tasty and fresh. I had the mushroom ragu with crispy enoki mushrooms and my boyfriend had the smoky chorizo with delicious potatoes! Coffee was great too! Fabulous!

Cannot rate this place more highly! The food is always prompt service is excellent and food delicious! We had the baked eggs with chilli and chorizo and smashed avocado with beetroot which was so tasty.

What a lovely place and how gorgeous to see Ashleigh again. Spacious and airy interior with plenty of elbow room. Great service, which is becoming a rare commodity in Adelaide. Coffee on point. Baked eggs, photo, with chorizo and feta with honey was lovely. The toast was cold and too crunchy and not the ciabatta that’s on the menu. Make sure you book. Insta @adelaidefoodie67

My partner and I had lunch here yesterday and I can honestly say it was one of the yummiest lunches I've had. We both had the falafel salad which were generous in size, fresh ingredients, yummy combination f tastes and textures. Loved loved loved it My skim cappuccino was a bit watery but nice and hot. The service was very friendly and efficient. I've raved about the place to everyone at work today

Came in this morning for a quick brunch with my partner and I must say that’s it not often an establishment will leave a good taste in my mouth more ways than one. Service AND food was a sensational experience.

When your roommate brings you a muffin that completely ruins your diet... but it’s worth it because it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted! Banana, maple & walnut

Friendly staff and lovely food. I had the bircher muesli, it was very well presented and was delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone. Easily the best cafe within the Unley Shopping centre area by a mile. I will definitely be back. Oh, and did I mention great coffee? ☺

Great variety on menu, & the staff were very accommodating with my food allergies/intolerances. I had gf crusty bread, lightly toasted with crushed & fresh peas & mint, topped with poached eggs, garnished with goats cheese & smashed avo & watercress & lots of crispy, good quality bacon. Definitely going back to try other menu items.

Good food and coffee isn't too hard to find in Adelaide, but good food, coffee and amazing staff is rare, and the staff at Bricks & Stones are exceptional!!! I'm so glad that this is my local cafe

Table in the courtyard, super place to relax. The combinations of ingredients in the different breakfast options makes for a hard choice. A really great meal and when my grandson declined certain ingredients the staff exchanged these for his favorites without being asked. Thank you.

Waited 15 minutes for a coffee that was burnt scorching hot and watery, barista looked like he was very out of place behind the coffee machine.
Natasha Cartwright
Great food, great prices, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. (The thrice cooked chips are amazing) - just sad I had no room left to try anything from the amazing looking cake cabinet :-)
Michaela Burger
Absolutely delicious menu and very lovely staff! I also love the atmosphere in the cafe.
Trish Cook
Amazing food, service and atmosphere every time I come. My #1 place for brunch 😊

We came here for brunch before my husband heads to work. Prior to coming here we already checked the reviews online and have high hopes considering a fairly high rating in Google. My husband ordered a flat white. Having a sip of his coffee we both agreed it was OK but not the typical strong coffee that we usually enjoy. I ordered the mushroom dish which I found was OK, a tad on the salty side especially the kale that goes with it. My husband likes baked eggs so he decided on that. Unfortunately, he found the sauce they used for the baked eggs extremely salty for his liking. He asked me to try it and asked for my thoughts and I agree, it was. After a few more spoonful he couldn't eat it anymore. I have brought this to their attention and they came and asked my husband for his thoughts. They asked if he wants a replacement or something else but due to the time constraints he declined. They just said that they will not charged for that dish and no apologies said. Unfortunately, I don't think we are coming back.

Delicious food and very prompt service! We had the poached eyes with smoke salmon and the brekky burger. Will definately be returning again.

friendly staff with prompt service, the quality of both food and drink was great. i had a ham cheese tomato croissant as well as a juice and cappuccino. all of it was spot on. my wife also loved her beetroot juice and salad. we will definitely be back on our next trip to adelaide

Cute noisy little cafe in the side street of unley. The menu is diverse. I had the minted peas, my friend the bacon and egg burger. The burger had a nice relish, but unfortunately the egg was still raw. The minted peas were nice, but a little dry and the dish lacked moisture. Service was fast. This cafe unlike others, does take bookings

Absolute fave is the blueberry & mascarpone pancakes! Yum! The place itself looks pretty cool too. Nice set up. Can get a bit busy at times.

Came here last week and was super disappointed with the service we got. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to take our order, then another hour for our food. The place was clearly in shambles as the people taking out food had no idea what table it was headed to half the time- we got offered two meals that weren't ours while waiting. I don't know if table numbers cramp the style or something, but it would've definitely saved the poor people looking lost holding our food.

When the food did finally come, I'm afraid the bad service didnt make up for it. There was way way too much sauce to the point of it slopping everywhere on our burgers. The only redeeming feature is that we thought the chips were quite nice and well done. But other than that, probably won't be back.

Located in a heritage-listed building, Bricks and Stones lives up to its name. As expected, the place was buzzing on a Sunday. We were lucky that we came after a huge group of around 15 had finished their meal, otherwise I’m sure the wait would have drove me crazy as the barista was swarmed with orders the whole time. We had a bit of wait for our coffees, but luckily food came promptly thereafter.

Our skinny lattes were a bit weak, but overall decent. We did however enjoyed our meal very much. Crispy bacon and super delicious halloumi that was firm and slight springy, and robustly savoury in flavour. The falafel salad was a magnificent mix of pepitas, beetroot, pumpkin, hummus, avo and the surprising addition of dates. A bit heavy-handed with dressing in an otherwise great dish.

Despite the crowds, the staffs remained upbeat and cheery throughout, and this made the wait bearable.

My previous visit here was when it newly opened and had a limited menu with not many patrons. My oh my have things changed ! This place was bustling with activity and the menu has certainly expanded. Good sized meals ... The baked eggs were ok- could be more flavoursome. The pancakes were delicious ... Good coffee and great service .

Delish :) We came for a quick work lunch and I totally loved this place!! The staff were super friendly, our dishes came out quickly, the food tasted incredible, coffee was great and parking was made easy with the Unley shopping centre car park right across the road. Can't wait to go back..

Bricks and Stones is one of the newer cafes to join our list of favourite brunch haunts. Situated conveniently next to the Unley Shopping Centre also means plenty of parking. The interior is exactly as the name suggests with an eye catching feature mural in the corner. Guess where I sat. An array of scrumptious Abbott and Kinney patries were on display, tempting as they may be I left it. My eyes soon shifted to the cabinet where cakes, tarts and amazing panini sandwiches beckoned. I haven’t even looked at the menu yet! With all the discipline I could muster I sat down and browsed through the menu (not before seeing the specials blackboard). Surprisingly with all the rich temptations it was Greens and Grains that drew my attention.

Had a lovely cousin catch up here on Saturday morning after a early fitness session, first customer of the day and was greeted with smiling faces and great tunes playing! Service was great, good was delicious 👌🏽 we had the peas/avo/eggs and the briosh bun but on rye 👍🏽 nothing was too hard. Updated menu to what was online though so do be careful 😊

This café has a lot going for it. The breakfast menu is innovative, location great, and venue very cool. Bricks and Stones is also one of few good options open on Mondays (lift your game, Adelaide!).

I loved my burger, which I tweaked by ditching the bacon and adding a potato rosti. My dining buddy's pancakes were impressive, too.

I took my friend for a lunch, she was on a "good" day so recommended the felafel salad. The next half hour was interspersed with "oh my god this is sooo good". Even tho we had had enough half way through we couldn't stop eating until it was all finished. Yum oh!! Surroundings were lovely and rustic and staff very attentive. Not too noisy with tables spaced out. We are bringing all our friends next time.

It seems all I blog about these days is where I got my last serving of eggs. Haaaardly something you can blame me for given all the bangin’ brunch spots in town. We sure are spoilt!

Needing a quick lunch mid errands one Saturday, I (Amanda) stop in at Bricks and Stones as it has been one of those places on my to do list for awhile now. Hidden just off Unley Road, we enter into a large dining space with exposed brick walls and a wall of funky art work. The premises once was a stable and also a commercial bakery and it's great to see the old school commercial oven and some stable features retained as it gives the place a great feel. A large counter with mouth watering house made cakes (and also a selection of Abbots & Kinney pastries) catch our eye but luckily for our waistlines we are swiftly taken to a vacant table, coffee and tea orders taken and menu's provided.

Went here for breakfast. I got the mushrooms on toast and my partner got the poached eggs with smashed peas and bacon. Best breakfast ever and I travel a lot for work!

Bricks And Stones is beautiful little cafe located inside another one of Adelaide’s heritage buildings in the suburb of Unley. The space has been restored to its natural state exposing brick walls inside giving the place a lovely warm cosy cottage feeling. My weak mocha was lovely with a good combination of chocolate and coffee. The milk was nicely steamed with a thin layer of creamy froth on top.

*breakfast review*. Tucked down a side street off Unley Rd this unassuming cafe is actually large inside with a cool natural stone interior and modern quirky accents. Likewise the menu is a mix of more traditional fare (big brekkie with all the usuals) to smashed pea with mint and feta under some poached eggs, to the green veg/salad breakfast. My partner voted his big brekkie 10/10, a true man's meal. My poached eggs were a touch under which I personally don't mind. The pea to mint ratio was spot on. Coffees a touch strong for piccolo but our second flat white was perfect. The cake fridge is full of yummy temptations, something for next visit. Lovely friendly guys running the place, particular about their craft without being pious hipsters.

This little place is pretty exciting. Situated within a beautiful old building with a baker's oven - just amazing. Stick your head in there and check out the depth. The set up is simple. With so many great sounding options on the menu, it was difficult to make a decision.
I had baked eggs, massive serving, but yummy. My sister had the brekky burger. She didn't like the tomato salsa as it was too sweet for her liking and didn't complement the savoury flavours, but other than that smashed it! My boyfriend had the Big Brick and really enjoyed it!
The service was busy, but still attentive and just friendly.
Overall, although Bricks and Stones seem to be finding their feet, they have a lot to offer. I look forward to coming back again!

From what I could remember, this used to be a Japanese Restaurant. Now a cafe called 'Bricks and Stones' has opened. You cannot see this cafe if you are coming down Unley Road, it is tucked away down Arthur Street just off the main road. You are lucky if you can get a park on Unley Road. I suggest parking across the street in the shopping centre complex and cross at the traffic lights. The name of the cafe is really suited to this red brick building.

Bricks and Stones was quite a pleasant surprise. Initially an odd vibe, but friendly service. Menu had a good breakfast selection, I had the eggs and smashed pea combo with salmon. Came out quickly and was delicious. The dark rye was so tastey with the pea smash! Liver cleanser juice earthy and delicious I too! Can't wait to come back again!

With plenty of competition in the area Bricks & Stones have done well to do what everyone else is doing but just a little different. The decor is delightful and it's very spacious inside which is nice not to feel like you are intruding in other peoples space. This gives anyone a good reason to pop in for a coffee and some tasty brunch!

Coffee was tops and delivered promptly plus any places that offers almond milk is a good place in our books.

We are big fans of smashed avo, combining that with tahini and adding capers on the side is something we haven't seen before but won't be surprised if other places borrow the idea because damn it works.

Only drawback was we received one of our meals and had to wait about 5 mins before the other meal came out, which was tough with the delicious looking green + grains bowl sitting in front of us.

Tucked away in a lovely brick building is this friendly and fabulous cafe. It features all your usual cafe fodder; coffee, smoothies, burgers, breakfasts and a few delightful little signature dishes. It's a cute, modern/rustic and spacious venue yet feels cosy and as though you could stay for a few hours.

I ordered the poached eggs with smoked salmon on rye. The rye was thinly sliced so ended up being quite biscuit-like once toasted but the smoked salmon, caper and poached egg flavour combination made up for this little fault. Coffee was okay.

How should I bring my baby in?: There's plenty of space here for prams. My friend booked a table and actually specifically chose to meet here because of the ability to park a pram by a table and not feel like it was in anyone's way. In fact there were a number of prams in the cafe at once whilst we were there. You may need some assistance entering with a pram, depending on whether the double doors are both open or not.

Wowee what a gem! Newly opening a cafe to the unley precinct already teeming with high quality jaunts wound certainly be risky but these guys can deliver! Set in a beautiful, homey cavern in what was previously a Japanese teppinyaki restaurant you are literally surrounded by 'bricks and stones'. Great coffee but also have a small selection of fresh juices and milkshakes etc. the breakfast was delicious and generous. Highly recommend the smashed peas on toast with poached eggs, and the mushrooms on toast were huge with a good range of mixed mushrooms including enoki & oyster, with delicious dukkah and tahini rounding it out. Also amazing sweet potato Rosti as a side. Food is beautifully presented too. Will revisit- the lunch menu also sounds divine!
