We used to come here more regularly because the steamed dumplings used to be amazing. For some reason the taste has changed and it's got a really weird aftertaste. Aside from this, we still absolutely love the pan fried dumplings which are beautifully presented, crispy and juicy.
We also always order the tea tree mushroom chicken dish which is just so unique with a beautiful flavour.
The service is generally pretty quick except when it's crazy busy, and it's really great value for money.
Our go to dumpling takeaway. Favourites include the fried chicken ribs as well as the chicken and prawn wontons in chilli and peanut sauce. Popular every time we visit for both dine in and take away.
Such a good little find hidden outside a shopping centre complex. The dumplings were good and so were their stir-fried dishes. The prices were SO affordable and the servings were MASSIVE! My favourite was their pan fried dumplings. The skin was perfectly fried - lightly crisped and still soft. Yum!
Hidden Chinese gem in Vermont South shopping center, authentic Chinese food, best handmade dumplings and their dry wok dishes are just delicious, could be very crowded with long waiting queue
I love the service and the food you get here. My group of friends and I ended up coming here before closing and they stayed open just to serve us. The food was kickass and the service was spot on. Super accomodating and personable. Great job! I hope they keep it up.
Awesome pan fried pork dumplings.....I love how there is a beautiful crust that holds the dumplings together. The noodles are not bad either. There might be a queue, but staff are super efficient and it moves quickly. Staff are friendly too!
The food came out fast and tasted amazing, the atmosphere inside the restaurant felt so comforting and the staff are wonderful people. When I went there was a kid sitting outside eating alone with a bunch of items and staff went out and asked if he was okay as well as giving him a plastic bag for holding his things. Truely heartwarming :)
Came by on a Friday night. The restaurant is quite small and cramped where tables are shared amongst patrons, rather than having a table for yourself.
It was very busy when we went and it seemed to be understaffed that night. We ordered panfried pork dumplings, XLB, wonton in spicy peanut sauce, and beef brisket noodle soup. There was a 20 minute wait on all dumplings as it was so busy, but they came out sooner than expected.
Because it was so busy, the dumplings were not pan fried enough so that the bottom was crispy. Slightly disappointed but they were still good. The XLB was average, although the filling was soupy and hot. My boyfriend particularly liked the wonton in spicy peanut sauce and would get it again, but it wasn’t my favourite. Perhaps I was expecting a more spicy chilli oil flavour? The beef brisket noodle soup was my favourite, as the beef was tender and the noodles were chewy and cooked perfectly!
I would definitely return to try more of their noodle soups! Highly rate this place if you don’t mind the hustle bustle environment - decent, inexpensive food.
Been here soooo many times. Their food is really really good and their price is not expensive. The dumpling is really nice. Recommended the pumpkin entree! Nice!
This is now our new go to local dumpling place. The service here is great and prompt, and the dumplings are handmade and delicious. If you live in the area and haven’t tried it, do yourself a favour
Met up with some friends at one of the branches of Dumpling and Ramen House. This one was located in Vermont.
☀️The sunny bits:
The dumplings were delicious and full of flavour. Their spring rolls looked delicate but were crispy and generously filled. Service was reasonably efficient.
☁️The cloudy bits:
The interior can get a bit squishy and noisy when it’s super busy.
⭐️The forecast:
Not the best but still a reasonable place for dumplings if you are in the area when the craving for dumplings hit you.
Dayymnnn this place makes some killer Chinese food! Price point and serving size amazing. My go-to for dumplings - which we also ordered but we finished them before I could take a photo. Staff is always friendly too. Highly recommend.
Amazing dumplings, such lovely staff! I didn't give it a 5 just because the store is too small for the amount of business they do - so if you go at a peak time you can wait a long time for your meal and the pay/pick up orders system is a little hectic. But I definitely recommend the delicious food and amazing service otherwise.
Dumplings with a nice, homey feel at an affordable price. Great to get a quick dumpling fix!
The place is cozy and staff are nice and accommodating. I love the pumpkin and red bean bun. The price is reasonable but a little bit less salt please next time.
Nice and cozy place with an amazing and friendly staff. They have a lot to offer on their menu and I should say they can make most of their noodles and rice as a vegetarian options.
Special cutlery for kids( plastic/ melanin) available.
