Although the atmosphere isn't super flash it definitely hits the spot. Food is so quick! Their chicken pies are A-MA-ZING and almost outdone but the bbq pork pastries. If you love that savoury flavour with the sweet pastry you will love these. Had some great steamed dumplings here too.
They can get quite busy but I find that it's not bad if you're just looking for 2 seats.
I love Emma's. Been here at least 10 times in my 18 months in Victoria Park. I'm surprised at some of the reviews here - every time I've visited I've had delicious yum cha. Some were better than others on different days, to be sure, but it's always been consistently good to excellent.
My go-to dishes are Pork buns, Prawn dumplings of some description, and squid tentacles. This will feed 2 people for about $28. The chilli oil is great too!
We walked up and down Vic Park to find a suitable place for lunch but I had one thing on my mind - Yum Cha
We saw Emmas and went straight in. Straight away we got a table, they were busy - 1pm on a Tuesday too. Straight away we got tea and a coke and we were offered steamed goodies off the trolley. Squid tentacles were very tasty. We ordered a big plate of rice too and loads of steamed treats and it came up to $60. Definitely will be going back.
Nice Food and good customer service!
The best Chinese restaurant in Victoria Park. Spicy Chicken, pork ribs with peking and hot and spicy soup😋😋😋
Ordered the salted fish fried rice, fried tentacles and a couple of dumplings ; scallops + prawns and prawn with coriander. The dumplings came last, but was yummy. The tentacles were perhaps the best I've tasted in this entire Vic park Albany highway stretch. Very flavourful and came our fresh and hot. The fried rice on the other hand was quite bland and did not even have any taste of salted fish, which is a let down. Overall, service was great, food satisfying and nice ambience. But I wouldn't rush to come back
I quite like their menu on the dishes as they are quite light and not too heavy, just what I needed them this time. I ordered the porridge with century egg and chicken claypot and it is quite nice. The food came out really quickly even though it was quite a busy time.
Good quality fresh dumplings. I was getting a bit frustrated that there weren't many Dim Sum places South of the River so decided to give this place a try. What I quite liked is that they were open on a Monday public holiday. There was a 10% surcharge but my friend and I stuffed ourselves for $30 each so came out not too bad. The layout is a bit awkward for the trolleys to manoeuvre but if we asked for a specific menu item, they brought it to us fresh. I find it hard to review Dim Sum restaurants because the food is generally always very similar, but nevertheless this place was good and I'll be back.
I used Deliveroo to get food from here. I was able to get Minced Pork and Prawn Dumplings, Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Pumpkin and Prawn Dumplings and a Short Soup. It was fantastic and it was enough for a small army as well as enough for lunch the next day.
It was great and the food came fast and was well presented.
SIMPLY THE BEST
FORGET THE OTHER DIM SUM AND GO TO EMMA's
we come here a lot and should have left a review along time ago,
We made the mistake of trying another dim sum tonight, BIG MISTAKE
