Reviews Tira Thai

After a day's long drive, and then searching the main street of Wagga Wagga looking for a nice place to relax have an evening meal, my wife and I noticed the Tira Thai restaurant. Upon seeing the inside of the restaurant, we both liked the atmosphere and decor and decided to try it out as it looked quite classy and comfortable. We ordered two dishes...a green chicken curry and stir fried tofu. Both dishes were sensational - the best Thai meal we have had on our 6 weeks holiday travelling from Melb to Airlie Beach and back (we averaged one Thai meal per week while we were away). Much to our surprise, the waitress brought out a complimentary entree (spring rolls and a chicken based dish) and desert (pieces of water melon), which were both beautiful. The service was exemplary and the owner was very friendly and nice to talk to as well. Overall, a very nice evening with sensational food.

I've been coming to work at Wagga Wagga for the last 4 years and this year is my fifth, I spent at least 3 days per each visit at Wagga, this week I'll be spending 5 days here and I brought my family along like the previous year, my wife and I loved eating a very spicy food, we have eaten in a lot of restaurants here including Thai, we had Thai the night before as well, I must say I have tried almost Thai restaurants here but I've never knew that there would be one hidden deep inside the arcade, We just discovered it by accident, we decide to go and try it out on the following night, certainly you won't be disappointed, the food was amazingly rich in flavour, they would cook spicy food to your liking, the food we had were very Authentic Thai, no doubt. There are variety of food to choose from, the good thing is they are giving you more food, we could not finish it all and we had to pack them back to our hotel room, it's really good value for money. friendly service. It's really an Authentic Thai Food as they have stated on their business sign. Certainly we won't be going any other Thai restaurants at Wagga except Tira Thai Restaurant next time we visited Wagga.

The gentleman out the front was friendly and welcoming. We were provided with a complimentary entree, I can't say everyone should expect as I'm sure we were just lucky but it was appreciated. The flavours were great and the size generous. The guy saw us out and offered us a lolly. I assume it was obvious that we weren't local and unlikely that we would return but the service didn't falter. I was impressed overall. I do recommend, I even would on the food alone.

Seriously, when in Wagga Wagga you really must try Tira Thai for a meal....its been taken over by the wonderful Wena and her family and the food is absolutely divine! Reasonable prices and unequalled service with absolute smiles....the clean beautiful restaurant is situated just off the main highway and we left the restaurant feeling very full and almost like part of the family. I'd give this place a 20 out of 10 if I could...we'll be back Wena we promise.!

Beautiful Restaurant, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, fast friendly service. I ordered 2x Thai spicy chicken, one extra hot, for take away & wow, I was pleasantly surprise, it was just as I asked for, the best hottest Thai spicy chicken I have had in over 15 years, thank you for fulfilling my order precisely.

This place is hidden away down an arcade on Baylis Street, so isn't easily seen, but is so good! There is great value for money here and the service was excellent! The restaurant was lovely and had a very warm reception to it. Good Thai food in congenial atmosphere. It;s in an arcade and it's quiet so you're able to hear conversation. Attentive service

Absolutely amazing service to compliment great food! Honestly some of the best and most friendly service I've had in years. Even though we were a group of seven our meals came out in a fast and orderly manner, and all the waiters and waitresses were lovely to deal with. The food was amazing, we went for the banquet which featured some amazing dishes I wouldn't have otherwise tried. Not to mention their Pad Thai which was 'on point' The decor and overall feel of the restaurant was nice. Overall a great way to spend an evening in Wagga Wagga, would most definitely recommend!

We just had lunch here based on the reviews we read and our love of a good Thai feed. Hands down the best Thai I’ve had in a while. The duck curry was absolutely outstanding and full of flavour. Hubby had the spicy duck and Thai fried rice and it was also delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing and we received some free chicken toast to try. We will definitely be back to Tira Thai!! A+ Thank You

Wonderful Thai spices brought my dish to life. Lab was a perfect, light meal combining fresh, uncooked ingredients in a delicious, spicy sauce. Perhaps a little too much raw onion but it tasted great. Attentive waitresses.

Authentic and Delicious!! We were hungry when we arrived in Wagga Wagga around 9pm so I googled restaurants and am so pleased that Tira Thai came up as the top option because we would never have found this place nestled away in a little arcade off the main Street. We walked in at 9:20pm and asked if the kitchen was open and the lovely front of house gentleman said that they were and seated us. Given it was so late, we didn't feel like a massive meal so we just ordered the mixed entree, duck curry and coconut rice with some wine. WOW! When those little entrees came out, we knew immediately that they were all handmade by the chef and not out of a box like you can get in some towns. The curry was so delicious and authentic. The aroma when it arrived was amazing, with all the lovely kafir lime so finely and expertly shredded on top. I really wish that this restaurant was our local in Melbourne and not 500km away from our home. Highly recommended.

A delicious surprise for us passing through town tonight! This restaurant's food is excellent and generously portioned. The hospitality is great as well, with a lovely complementary surprise at the start of our meal. For travellers, there's a good car park out the back with pull-through options for those pulling trailers.

Very good. In town for a 3 day tour and found this little gem. Had chicken wings for the entree, and pork belly with Chinese brocolli and jasmine rice for the main. It was delicious. The entree was on special so all it cost for me including a coke was $31.30. Awesome value for money.
