After a day's long drive, and then searching the main street of Wagga Wagga looking for a nice place to relax have an evening meal, my wife and I noticed the Tira Thai restaurant. Upon seeing the inside of the restaurant, we both liked the atmosphere and decor and decided to try it out as it looked quite classy and comfortable.
We ordered two dishes...a green chicken curry and stir fried tofu. Both dishes were sensational - the best Thai meal we have had on our 6 weeks holiday travelling from Melb to Airlie Beach and back (we averaged one Thai meal per week while we were away).
Much to our surprise, the waitress brought out a complimentary entree (spring rolls and a chicken based dish) and desert (pieces of water melon), which were both beautiful.
The service was exemplary and the owner was very friendly and nice to talk to as well.
Overall, a very nice evening with sensational food.
I've been coming to work at Wagga Wagga for the last 4 years and this year is my fifth, I spent at least 3 days per each visit at Wagga, this week I'll be spending 5 days here and I brought my family along like the previous year, my wife and I loved eating a very spicy food, we have eaten in a lot of restaurants here including Thai, we had Thai the night before as well, I must say I have tried almost Thai restaurants here but I've never knew that there would be one hidden deep inside the arcade, We just discovered it by accident, we decide to go and try it out on the following night, certainly you won't be disappointed, the food was amazingly rich in flavour, they would cook spicy food to your liking, the food we had were very Authentic Thai, no doubt. There are variety of food to choose from, the good thing is they are giving you more food, we could not finish it all and we had to pack them back to our hotel room, it's really good value for money. friendly service. It's really an Authentic Thai Food as they have stated on their business sign. Certainly we won't be going any other Thai restaurants at Wagga except Tira Thai Restaurant next time we visited Wagga.
The gentleman out the front was friendly and welcoming.
We were provided with a complimentary entree, I can't say everyone should expect as I'm sure we were just lucky but it was appreciated.
The flavours were great and the size generous.
The guy saw us out and offered us a lolly. I assume it was obvious that we weren't local and unlikely that we would return but the service didn't falter.
I was impressed overall. I do recommend, I even would on the food alone.
