Great old style pub atmosphere with wonderful dining room staff and equally good food...at reasonable prices.
My Ned Kelly Parmigiana with chips and veg was sensational and HUGE.
My wife's Grilled Fish with chips and veggies was equally sensational.
And it doesn't cost an arm and leg for a half decent bottle of wine... recommended
Well what a classic Hotel, friendly helpful staff, lots of atmosphere from a missed bygone age, nice front bar with sporting section at one end, a very nice gaming room with a good selection of current machines, two dinning areas, nice original staircase, good beer and wine selection, as for food very good prices and a nice variety to choose from, excellent parking, located on main the main street close to waterfront.

Just a heads up. We have been back twice since the first time. All I can say is never disappoints. Got to sit outside with the lovely view. Loved the front bar atmosphere every time we have gone.
I have to say when I walked it didn't have much going for it. Well it's true never judge a book by its cover. I think her name was Annette in the front bar was great. Very friendly and insightful. Told us the history of the hotel and the ghost in room 11. It was quiet, but the atmosphere was perfect. Simple counter pub meal. Chicken Schnitzel and chips. When it came out, it didn't look special. Nothing to write home about. It looked like every other Schnitzel I have had in the past. Well I was wrong. It was juicy, full of flavour and the gravy was perfect as well. The chips might looked undercooked but they were not. It's because the oil was clean and not old and dirty. At the end of the meal she came back over to us and provided a tip on places to go. The whole experience was worth my 5 stars. We are already talking about going back.
