Love love this place! When going in at dusk, outdoor lanterns lead the way down the driveway and your met by a great big house! Outdoor area could use a huge jazz up but the food and service (which is what you go for) is amazing! Greek and Persian menu with loads to choose from including fantastic home made dessert!
Went to Cyrus with a group of 8 on a Friday night. We were the first ones there but it quickly filled with every table booked. We enjoyed Persian dips, saganaki, grilled octopus for entrees and pretty much everything on the menu for mains. The calamari was melt in your mouth, the lamb tender and the chicken juicy. Our desserts were the saffron ice cream, baklava and one of the baked custard desserts that I can't remember the name but what a highlight. The decor is dated and they are understaffed but we went there for the food and weren't disappointed. Will be going back.
I have visited this now and still curious. There were only three tables but the food still took a while to be served. The host (George?) was very pleasant and amicable but alas the waitress knew nothing about the food she was serving. She had not tasted any of it I dont think. I ordered Persian casserole but it was far more of a greek style and flooded with oil. Nothing wrong with the dish but nothing really outstanding. Rice was mediocre and something on the rice plate called Tachin was stodgy. The salade shirazi was far too sour for my liking. Not an expensive place and will probably go back to try something else perhaps.
