What a lovely little authentic cafe. We attended everyday we were in Warrnambool. All the food was tasty and every staff member was lovely. If you’re looking for some simple and delicious food you can’t miss it.

Staff were friendly I would definitely go there again but maybe have something different . I had the eggs Benedict which was nice but it should have been a English muffin not on toast .

What a lovely, friendly and iconic cafe. With a history spanning from 1948! Wow, make sure you go in and give them a try. Great food and very hospitable proprietor and staff! Highly recommend.

Great spot to stop for a bite to eat. Particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was very good. They're also doing a great job of implementing COVID-19 restrictions.

We had lunch here on 13 April 2022, the food was good and service was good tood. It reminded me of good old fashion hospitality.

Delicious selection of cakes!!! Has a nice old world home kind of feel. We love the window display, always a visual experience!

Best bacon, egg & cheese toastie ever!!!!

Had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Cooked to perfection. The toast was cut in triangles which was a bit quirky. I asked for tea also. Out came a pot of tea, a pot of hot water and a small jug of milk. And also a tea strainer. Haven't had tea leaf tea forever Loved it. The young waitress from qld was super attentive and very friendly. I first went here over 48 years ago with my Pa. my family come from the warrnambool area and are regular customers. The cafe hasn't changed over the years. Still the same booth style seating. Highly recommend and next time I'm down I will be coming back.

Superb food, amazing service, great staff and fantastic prices! Ordered a side that wasnt on the menu and they were happy to cater to it! Feeling very full and happy �

A Warrnambool institution. I visit here every time I pass through or stay in this beautiful part of Victoria. Always friendly staff and excellent food � traditionally home style and consistently presented- great memories : please don’t change a thing!

Loved everything,food is perfect,service is quick and courteous. Great place to call into for a meal or quick snack.can be busy around lunch time,but that doesn't effect quality or service.

Homemade baked cookie dough cheesecake was to die for!! �� always friendly staff as well. Best café in town

The very best & our favorite, friendly service & Delicious food

Took my parents in for coffee as they were visiting for Christmas, we were passed over not once but, twice for service. Incredibly rude and disappointing as I'd been there previously and it was an enjoyable experience. My parents were quite upset, and understandably so.

Ordered chicken burger, partner ordered a lunch special. Waited a bit for the burger (25+ mins); was quite contented with it and chips were nice. Partner’s food was on a whole new level though, thus the low star review. Pretty sure we waited 20mins More for her red Thai curry so while I was happily chowing on my burger, she was quite the opposite. When we got the curry, could already tell that she wouldn’t like it. It looked more like a chicken casserole than a curry.

We wandered past and were tempted by the menu and cosy atmosphere - we strolled in and we're pleased we did!<br/>The kids had a kids' (full sized) cheeseburger, chips and spider (as a meal), hubby had a t-bone cooked as ordered and I had a porterhouse cooked medium rare to perfection each steak accompanied by chips, salad and gravy and some buttered toast that we couldn't finish as our meals were so big! We couldn't face dessert - which was sad as the cake fridge was very tempting!<br/>The service was patient (we were indecisive) and very friendly despite what others have said. We really couldn't fault anything - food, speed and quality of meals, warm, friendly service, great atmosphere and prices good for what we got (compared to a steak down the road!). After paying the bill the kids were even offered a free icypole - it really rounded off the night for us! I've not been to Warrnambool in decades, but I'd go back if I find myself here again! All up about $80 for meals and drinks for four including two steaks (cheaper options available) filling and good meals too!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced.  Don't waste your time complaining - the staff can do no wrong.  Will never go there again.  Wines Cafe in Timor Street and Cafetopia in Lava Street are much better.  They know how to give good customer service.  Their food is also much nicer.

Extremely rude; I couldn't believe it.  As the waitress approached me to provide customer service (or so I presumed) I asked her if I could pick up my order.  She refused to acknowledge me, walked straight past, collected dirty dishes, walked straight past me again and went to the kitchen.  She didn't even say, "I won't be moment" or "I'll be with you shortly" as you'd expect.  As I complained to the owner/manager (who was unapologetic) the waitress shouted across the room to me (with a rotten attitude/tone to her voice) "I was getting it!".  The manager/owner sided with the waitress so I walked out without a word.  The owner/manager looked shocked but that's exactly what the waitress did to me.  It's different when the shoe is on the  other foot.  They will  now miss out on my ongoing orders.  Another cafe will now gain from Macs Snack's loss.  When I was at the other cafe, I related my experience with Macs Snacks.  Another customer standing next to me said she would never step foot inside Macs Snacks again after they treated her in a similar way.  The sour taste from the lack of (or dreadful) customer service will put you off their over priced and bland food.

Had a bagel it was amazing had some chips and gravy they were also amazing. Couldn't really find a negative to this apart from maybe being a little overpriced for what it was. The only place that seems to be open in the town after 2pm for lunch. Been there since 1948 so can't be too bad :)

Simple Dinner. Just a simple country roast but it hit the spot, staff were very friendly.

Staff very rude, food was okay but wouldn't come simply because the staff were just so rude to everyone.

Amazing breakfast for me and hubby , went back the next day for lunch . Fresh , delicious and old fashioned friendly service .

I got a burger and the meat was over cooked and the chips just tasted like a bowl of oil, the service was horrible! The waitstaff were very off putting and didn't make you feel welcome at all!! Will never set foot in there again!

Best in warrnambool. Wondefiul friendly staff, qulity service and great food highly reccomended.
