Had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Cooked to perfection. The toast was cut in triangles which was a bit quirky. I asked for tea also. Out came a pot of tea, a pot of hot water and a small jug of milk. And also a tea strainer. Haven't had tea leaf tea forever Loved it. The young waitress from qld was super attentive and very friendly. I first went here over 48 years ago with my Pa. my family come from the warrnambool area and are regular customers. The cafe hasn't changed over the years. Still the same booth style seating. Highly recommend and next time I'm down I will be coming back.
Superb food, amazing service, great staff and fantastic prices! Ordered a side that wasnt on the menu and they were happy to cater to it! Feeling very full and happy �

We wandered past and were tempted by the menu and cosy atmosphere - we strolled in and we're pleased we did!
The kids had a kids' (full sized) cheeseburger, chips and spider (as a meal), hubby had a t-bone cooked as ordered and I had a porterhouse cooked medium rare to perfection each steak accompanied by chips, salad and gravy and some buttered toast that we couldn't finish as our meals were so big! We couldn't face dessert - which was sad as the cake fridge was very tempting!
The service was patient (we were indecisive) and very friendly despite what others have said. We really couldn't fault anything - food, speed and quality of meals, warm, friendly service, great atmosphere and prices good for what we got (compared to a steak down the road!). After paying the bill the kids were even offered a free icypole - it really rounded off the night for us! I've not been to Warrnambool in decades, but I'd go back if I find myself here again! All up about $80 for meals and drinks for four including two steaks (cheaper options available) filling and good meals too!

Had a bagel it was amazing had some chips and gravy they were also amazing. Couldn't really find a negative to this apart from maybe being a little overpriced for what it was. The only place that seems to be open in the town after 2pm for lunch. Been there since 1948 so can't be too bad :)
Amazing breakfast for me and hubby , went back the next day for lunch . Fresh , delicious and old fashioned friendly service .

What a lovely little authentic cafe. We attended everyday we were in Warrnambool. All the food was tasty and every staff member was lovely. If you’re looking for some simple and delicious food you can’t miss it.
Staff were friendly I would definitely go there again but maybe have something different . I had the eggs Benedict which was nice but it should have been a English muffin not on toast .
What a lovely, friendly and iconic cafe. With a history spanning from 1948! Wow, make sure you go in and give them a try. Great food and very hospitable proprietor and staff! Highly recommend.
Great spot to stop for a bite to eat. Particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was very good. They're also doing a great job of implementing COVID-19 restrictions.
Delicious selection of cakes!!! Has a nice old world home kind of feel. We love the window display, always a visual experience!
