Havnt been here for 5 years because it was horrid. Went today at a slow time. Owner was very nice and showed me how big the fresh not frozen fish was and how much $2 of chips was. I ordered 2 flake and chips. Chips where very nice and crunchy. The fish was really nice too. Will be back again. Glad to see the fish and chip shop I have been (not not been going to) for around 30 years is back In good hands :)
We were very limited with options on a Monday public holiday, but were super happy to find this gem in a back street. It's not for dine in, but our takeaway was ready quickly, the staff friendly and the food was great. Fish was fresh, potato cakes were huge and chips perfectly crunchy. They even managed to survive the 20mins in the car back to where we were staying which is a big tick for us.
Excellent fish and chips. And pineapple fritters. But ten times more salt on the chips than we like - next time we will ask them to go easy on the salt!
We had a GREAT dinner meal from here 2 nights ago. Excellent chips, fried flake, calamari rings. Burger was delicious. Teenagers & parents all fans.
Love their Flake. Potato cakes & chips are great. Best fish n chips I have had for a long time. Will go back every time we visit Warrnambool.
