We tried this place tonight, but didn't dine in as we ordered takeaway to take to the park and watch the sunset (explains why they are in takeaway containers in the pics). Service provided by the waiter over the phone and in the restaurant was good and she was incredibly polite and well mannered. Value wise it's spectacular, as our mains were only $12.80 each. We ordered the Chicken Katsu-Don, Yaki Fried Udon) comes with chicken) as mains, as well as side dishes of Gyoza and miso soup. Taste was better than we expected and surprisingly delicious. The decor/ambience of the restaurant itself was average. Management could greatly improve this by bringing in more 'authentic Japanese music' and conceal the kitchen area from customer view - as the kitchen looks a bit more of a 'cheap takeaway' feel.

Great food and great service! This is my favourite local restaurant. The spicy pork and gyozas are both delicious and I will always come back here.
We eat here on regular basis. Good quality food without the normal high price that a lot of Japanese restaurants have. My favourite is the vegetable Japanese pizza. Only $7.90, very filling and very tasty. It is not fine dining, just basic and simple food done well.
Our review. Friendly service and excellent food, so tastey, would happily recommend dinning here. Value for money aswell! Byo drinks is a bonus.... we are going back again real soon!

Authentic & amazing. Love this restaurant. Authentic Japanese food with excellent service. Can get busy but always get served quickly and politely. Limited menu but good servings and delicious ingredients. Warning: The spicy steak really is spicy so only eat if you like hot hot spices. This is one of our favourite restaurants and never disappoints
Lovely. I wasn't sure what to expect from this place, it is hidden away and always seems to be empty. But don't let that put you off - when I gave it a go, I was surprised at how good it was. The meals are inexpensive, and there are a range of authentic dishes to choose from. (It's nice to see a proper Japanese restaurant that doesn't just do sushi.) The staff were very nice, and mostly left us to ourselves, although they came back as soon as we looked for them. The meals were served fast and fresh, in larger portions than I expected, making for great value for money. The serving plates were beautiful, and added to the lovely intimate atmosphere of the place. For a great meal for less than $30 (including entrees and drinks!), I highly recommend Nagoya.
Pleasantly surprised. Don't know where Andy or Will were eating - but service was excellent food was promptly served and surprisingly good. Four of us will return to try other sections of menu. The four of us ate well for fifty dollars a couple. Finding better value for good food in the Redlands - don't think so. especially exciting new food tastes beats your ordinary steak and three veg.
Never a disappointment. Fairly authentic and reasonably priced, staff are always friendly and the food is super fresh. Surprised it is always so empty, a hidden gem of the redlands!
Eaten here several times but only ordered main meals (havent tried the sushi). Meals always fresh and havent had a bad one yet. Sometimes there is a bit too much onion but apart from that i cant complain.
On Saturday evening my husband & I and a couple of friends decided to try for the first time “Nagoya Japanese Restaurant” in Wellington Point.
We were all apprehended, as this was the first time we tried this restaurant and did not know what to expect.
We entered the place and we were made very welcomed by the friendly waiter.
The menu offers a variety of mouth-watering dishes and all the products were fresh and dishes had the warmth of home-made food.
We all had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours.
For this reason, I highly recommend going to this restaurant, we will be back.
A great little local gem. Nagoya is great for a takeaway or a casual meal out. Their food is genuinely tasty. If you're a die hard Japanese critic then you might not approve, but if you're in the mood for some great Asian cooking that's not Chinese or Thai then give this ago.
One of my favorite local restaurants. I head to Japan often and find the food here at Nagoya of the same quality. Pity it always seems so quiet. Please eat here for me so it doesn’t close down and my only choice will be Indian...
I had the grilled salmon and my partner had the pork ramen. They were really tasty dishes and came out very fast. We were happy with the customer service and will be coming back.
Lovely place for lunch but the serving sides where large - maybe cheaper smaller lunch portions could bring in more people?

They do not have sushi rolls which disappointed my husband however the meals we ordered were delicious and staff were very friendly- will be returning for another meal 👍
