Was told by coworkers this stall serve really nice chicken rice. And they were. Got that somewhat sweet taste to the meat and the soup. Really keen to try the other menu. Will come back to try some more.
I love the curry laksa noodle, the best in perth! Whenever I visit them, I try to order something else but end up with ordering the same thing .
Most authentic and delicious Malaysian food in Perth! It's easy to see why this place is the busiest in the food court by far as I've tried many of their dishes and am yet to be disappointed. Highly recommend the fried kuay teow, curry luksa, egg sauce hor fun and mee goreng; always our family favourites and worth coming out for.
Favourites from this stall- Char Kueh Tiaw and Beef Rendang. Love the Fried Chinese Doughnuts with yam filling; a rare find. Mee Rebus isn't the best, but for Perth standard, it is good. Affordable prices for big servings; you'll definitely walk away filled up!
By far, this hawker stall in the Cambridge International Food Forum does the best char kuey teow in Perth! Has the Chinese sausage, plenty of "wok hei" - the charred flavour and plenty of spice from the chilli. Love it!
Quite authentic Malaysian hawker fare at relatively reasonable prices. Quick service too. Place is generally not crowded even during lunch peak hours which is a plus.
Best neighbourhood gem for Malaysian food. I tried char kuey teow from a lot of places but this is the best one! Another favourite of my comfort food is the egg sauce hor fun.
The char kwey teow here is fantastic. It has to be the best place for it in Perth that I am aware of. It is in a food court however I will happily drive 40 mins for this feed any day.
Have only had the vege laksa from here but prob had a dozen times now take away and love it great value big serve and packs super flavour unfortunately does not come close to ones we got at markets in Darwin but prob best one i have tried in Perth.
Food is cheap and very tasty, especially the char kuey teow and beef rendang. I've often found though that they don't offer many dishes on their menu, I've tried a few times to order a few dishes and they've always been "sold out" even early in the evening... I find the staff rude also sometimes, I've stood at the counter waiting to order and they've literally just ignored me for 5 minutes while they text on their phone, it's not hard to say something like "be with you in a minute".
I’ve driven past here before but never visited so I popped by on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I was keen on the Paris Café, a French bistro, but they open for dinner. There’s plenty of food stalls to choose from so I had a look around and settled on Malaysian Hawker. After placing an order at the cash only stall, you take a number, go to the center and grab cutlery, find a table and wait. Your food is brought out to you. I started with lor bak which is like a sausage with a crispy crinkly skin. The pork filing is really delicious, especially with a touch of sweet chilli sauce. It also comes with creamy silken tofu with a lovely skin. Very tasty. I’m a real fan of kway teow and so this was an easy choice. Lovely soft noodles with Chinese sausage, bean shoots and prawns, I was hungry and it was demolished in no time. Yum. Takeway is also available and there’s plenty of food stalls to choose from (Chinese, dim sum, Japanese, Indian, Australian, French, and Singaporean), including a drinks stall. Plenty of free parking, lots of tables inside, if you’re looking for something different then it’s certainly worth a visit.
Been searching for authentic Malaysian food in Perth and I have came across with this place hidden in the food court. Ordered fried koay teow and fried rice, was really nice, although a little bit salty. Will come back and eat again! :D
Been here many times And one of us at least order from this restaurant.
This restaurant @food court so popular with their laksa and char kwe tiau..give it a go and you won't be disappointed.
I also tried their ba kuteh- which is good too.
Pork broth cook with some chinese herbs and lots of garlic, it's real good for this winter. Rather than I have to cook it @home and waiting have to wait for hours😄😄
Definitely, recommend this restaurant.
I asked the Chinese Lady at the counter what is their signature dish and she told me char kuey teaw and laksa. So, i opted for spicy char kuey teaw! It was Tuesday afternoon and there were not many customers, hence i just waited for a while for my food to be served! The char kuey teaw was authentic and delicious and portion was quite big for me. Anyway, If I happened to be somewhere or nearby that area again, definitely i'll be hopped in to that stall to have some good Malaysian food!
Generous portion servings and their curry laksa and Char Kway Teow pay homage to the West Malaysian cuisines! Keep up the good work. I'll be back!
Easily the busiest stall at weekends! Awesome Malaysian food. Authentic and hearty. Nasi lamek eat your heart out
Absolutely- hands down- the best - Malaysian hawker food this side of KL. I went with my Malaysian colleague who introduced me to a few dishes - their Kuy Teow and this awesome tasting fried noodles with black sauce.
The thing is, at first glance, this stall appear tacky and dodgy. But avoid it at your own peril!
I have to agree with the other reviewers that the char kuey teow here is among the best in Perth. The stall is often busy with customers waiting to place orders. I have been here a couple of times usually on the weekends and have noticed that it is the busiest stall in the food mall. I like that they also sell some other Asian breakfast stuff like hang chee beng (fried chinese pancakes) available in both salted and red bean paste, different sorts of kuehs and also black glutinous rice porridge. I digress. I am here to comment on their char kuey teow. The serving size is good and they don't stinge on the beansprouts and chinese sausages. I ordered mine with a bit of chilli and it tasted awesome. It reminds me of the char kuey teows in Singapore. There is that wok hei taste to it that is often missing from most of the Asian places that serve char kuey teow. Now, I have to try the other dishes as mentioned by the other reviewers as I always go for the same dish each and everytime.
I love greasy noodles #4
There's nothing like coming here on weekends and ordering the dishes that are only served on weekends including Assam laksa, Penang Kway teow soup, Chee Cheong fun and char Kway teow with cockles.
The Assam laksa is guaranteed to get your sinuses running especially if you're crazy enough to eat the cut red chillies too. My favourite noodle dishes include the fried Singapore bee hoon with egg sauce, mee goreng and the char Kway teow.
Really believe this is the best char kuey teow in Perth. There's a true smokey flavour and the real "char"!!! Worth the short drive after going for a dip at City Beach!!
100% BEST Char Kway Teow in Perth !!!!
You can feel the 'Wok Chi'...suggest go for mid hot to give you better tast.
After 1200 will be very busy, so suggest go there around 1100 to have faster and better cooking.
Char Kway Teow was good. I also love the prawn noodle soup and the laksa from here. Good food and it come out very fast. Very busy on the weekend.
Char Kway Teow is as close to what I can get in SG here in Perth. Great wok hei. Just missing some cockles and lard. Almost there. Great price.
As authentic as you can get outside of Malaysia. Assam Laksa special on weekends is excellent!
The absolute best laksa in perth! Hands effin down!!
Good, cheap, quick and tasty! We only order our mains from this stall.
Enjoyed lunch with my family on Saturday. Food was very delicious. The slices of sausage in the Kuay Teow were nice and thick, a good sign.
I ordered some Chau Tau Quay which wasn’t on the menu. The pieces were slightly thick but the flavour was there.
Overall a good family feed.
The prawn noodles and the char kway teow were both excellent. I especially like how you can taste the “wok hei” or sear from the wok in the char kway teow. The lady that served us was also a real gem, really nice and friendly.
Char kway teow is so good , all the other dishes look nice , I've been there 5 times and have the same dish , my kids love the other dishes
