The Social Sutra

Located in a large, open space on the main street of Werribee; The Social Sutra is bringing fabulous coffee and delicious food to locals all day long. With plenty of seating indoors and several large tables out the front, the vibe at this pleasant cafe is chilled and cosy. Staff are welcoming, know their regulars by name, and are very friendly.

We decided to sit outside on a lovely day, and enjoyed our coffees. We noticed that this cafe is very popular as inside was full, and outside was taken up with young families with prams and dogs. Everyone is welcome. The menu is quite broad, with lots of appetising dishes to choose from.

Our savoury dish was a generous helping of corn and haloumi fritters topped with beautifully poached eggs, sweet potato crisps, bacon, asparagus and a delicate hollondaise that was light and creamy. What an enjoyable dish. Seasoned perfectly, the fritters were just divine.

Chia pudding is found on many a cafe menu, and the dish served here is epic. The pudding is creamy and lightly flavoured, with the addition of granola and fresh fruit for extra crunch and sweetness. I was delighted with this delicious bowl, and could easily eat it for breakfast every day.

We finished up with an epic blueberry and ricotta hotcake stack. Two thick and fluffy hotcakes were studded with generous pieces of ricotta and loads of blueberries. Yum!! A berry compote, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds and a handmade wafer finish the dish. Pretty as a picture, these hotcakes definitely lived up to the image presented before us. Perfect in every way, the chef has truly nailed this classic dish and added their own stamp to it.

The Social Sutra is already popular with Werribee locals, who know when they are onto a good thing. But if you are visiting the area, you really should stop by, as you won't be disappointed in the food, coffee and ambience at this fabulous cafe.

Located in the Werribee central street, there is both external and internal seating available.
Coming to the main thing food, is real good. During our recent visit we had-
• FRIED CHICKEN BURGER - it was juicy and delicious with crispy fries
• SMOKED SALMON BRUSCHETTA WITH HALLOUMI - comes with amazing smoked salmon, avocado, onion, tomato, kale, poached eggs, sourdough
• BELGIAN WAFFLE BENEDICT - couldn't resist ordering as it was special recommendation.
It was a combination of sweet and savoury with a waffle base topped with fried chicken & poached eggs

We loved the food here and definitely would visit back soon.

To a road trip to the Social Sutra in Werribee a couple of weekends ago.

Such a spacious cafe that was pretty busy for your Sunday morning. All the staff we're extremely inviting.

Worth the drive out west for some of the best coffee I've had in a while. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating. Presentation and flavour of the dishes we're great. Would definitely return!

I felt very welcomed into this cafe the service was very friendly.

I sat in the outdoor dining area the inside has some nice artwork.

I ate the Panna Cotta it had so many elements but they all worked so well together. Crunchy granola with the Panna Cotta and pureed fruit was so tasty.

My husband had the chia pudding the fruit was flavoursome touch.

I had the acai smoothie this is a perfect breakfast smoothie very filling.

I got to spend valentine with my valentine and my galentine in all I would definitely come back here

Social Sutra is one of those venues that’s an up and comer for sure. Their foods provides such incredible flavours with amazing presentation. Their staff are delightfully helpful and for sure is one to visit
