This is our second visit to this restaurant. As usual this place is always packed and busy. The service is fast, menu is easy to understand. Good variety of dishes, it has items other then dumplings which is great. The dishes we ordered were really great. Prawn dumplings was nice and juicy. My favorite dish was hainanese chicken the soup was tasty, rice was full of chicken flavor and the chicken was moist. The chicken dish (entree) was something like fried chicken (pop corn chicken)and it was very crispy. We also ordered mocktails which was different then usual ice teas at the Asian places.
This place is good for lunch. Have a live counter where u can see ladies making dumplings. Amazing ambiance. Quick and friendly service
If you want the most delicious spring onion pancakes you can find, look no further! Not to mention that Jasmine Tea the window into the dumpling room is such a clever idea because it promotes fresh food and allows customers to enjoy the atmosphere while they wait. I have never had a bad meal here and I usually try to convince all my friends to go there when we go late night shopping. I never win and it's usually so busy that you can't get a seat! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because to get to the bathrooms you feel like you're about to walk either into the kitchen or into someone's bedroom and usually have to rub a cardboard box gauntlet just to pee!
Ordered the stir fried pork, sweet and sour whole barramundi and pan fried seafood dumplings. The place was buzzing with people and a huge line to be seated and line to order as well, food was on a high note and service wasn't bad considering how incredibly busy they were it was still good 👌
Lovely food, great service, everything fresh, great prices. I love this local restaurant! We return here all the time. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a great tasty meal
the food is well worth trying they have a great rang of dishes . and i have eaten here numerous times . i have take family members and alot of my friends here and they have all said the same thing . it is one of the best asian restaurants they have been to . the serves here is fast and the staff are very friendly and always smiling . i would rate it well above other restaurants i have eaten at . and will continue to frequent this restaurant
Probably one of the better fried rice we had. We also ordered full barramundi which was delicious. I thought the ambience is pretty good. The service could be improved on, no point having 3 staff to stand there and do nothing while you have to fill the paper at the table to insert number and prepay at the counter to get the food. Putting that aside we will definitely go again.
Best dumplings in Werribee. Thai fried rice is also nice but would be better with smaller prawns instead of just 3 large ones. Staff are always attentive and super quick!
Recently had dinner here with a group of friends. Staff were amazing, particularly Vincent who was super great with out little ones. The food was wonderful, and the dumplings are to die for. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
Tips:
- They ran out of most spirits, so while we ordered and paid for cocktails, we were provided with whatever mocktails their could whip up instead.
- I don't think they actually reserved a table, but this worked in our favor when we asked for a table outside.
- Sit outside, the acoustics inside will guarantee you a bit of a headache if you go on a busy night.
I will be back again, for sure, but I won't expect to order anything more flashy than a house wine.
Hard to please my chef partner, however this place did not disappoint. Food was much better than any we have had in a restaurant for a awhile. Partner advises his BBQ Pork Ribs were worth any 40 minute drive, (Apparently almost as good his own!)
Honey chicken and popcorn chicken were both great, not greasy nor meat fatty, and cooked/seasoned to perfection.
Dumplings were some of the best we have had outside CBD. So good, we bought some home to share.
Though a tad loud and hot inside which triggered disability, as soon as the serving staff was aware, they looked after us and placed us on an outside table. Rearranging chairs etc while entertaining the two youngsters with us (2 and 4yrs). Everyone was pleasant and too happy to accommodate! Not only does it look like we are returning- but would also recommend to our chef friends.
Went there with a group from church and I must admit I never knew what a dumpling was. I ordered sweet and sour pork, wow! better than Chinese any day. Everyone wants to go back next month. Very impressed and we were served promptly. Highly recommend.

i'm a working mum and take the kids here for a treat after doing the shopping. perfect for when i don't have the time to cook! the pad thai is one of the best i've had outside of bangkok. some of the commenters here seem very rude, i say give dumpling story a chance.
I came here over the weekend for a quick bite to eat. Look, I agree service isn't the best however the dishes I ordered were admittedly delicious. The pork dumplings were juicy and tender, and the mee goreng was flavourful and spicy. It's a little gem in my local neighbourhood.
what a great dining experience! i'm pretty fussy when it comes to dumpling joints but this one exceeded my expectations. staff were friendly, and while i was there my boyfriend of six years finally proposed. the whole restaurant applauded. would go again

We always get wonderful service and looked after by management and staff.
I love the imperial pork, dumplings and my wife who's a plain eater loves the hokkien noodles.
The popcorn chicken is also tasty and we usaully eat here once a week if not once a fortnight..
Cheap enough for a family of 5 to walk out filled and fat :)
My most favorite and best local Chinese restaurant in Western. Located in the new upgraded Werribee Plaza, in Urban Diner area. You can sit inside or outside. Comfortable seats and spacious. Offers a variety of delicious authentic Chinese cuisines. You can order a single plate combo with rice for each person or order from a wide range of main and side dishes from the menu. Whatever you order, you won’t be disappointed!! The manager is so friendly. We always feel welcomed whenever we go there. Meals served within a short time with great quality. And being asian, we’d like to eat our food quietly undisturbed and we appreciate that the waiters do not ask us how the meal is going for like a thousand times while we are eating. So I’d call it a good service from my point of view. 👍
Recently moved over from NZ and this place is by far my favourite. Amazing food, good prices and the manager Vincent has the best service. Always love coming here for either dine in or takeaway

My family and I have been going to this restaurant ever since it opened at the Werribee plaza. Therefore we have tried almost every single dish including a few of the vegetarian meals as well.
The food is always tasty with flavour

The interior deco itself is so inviting.
Despite coming from a non-English speaking background, the manager himself to the best of his ability meets and greets customers at the door with good spoken English.
The customers are handed over to the staff who politely escorts them to their table.
Yes you have the freedom of time and choice to put pen to paper for your order. You do not have to go to different counters for drinks. Payment of course is made at the time of order. Things are done systematically and at the convenience of both parties.
I call this a very well organised method of operation.
At least it's better than pushing buttons at a machine and then collecting junk food at the counter with minimal personal touch. I call that poor value for money.
It is sad to see groundless negative reviews by either hypocrites or competition which I totally disagree with.
THIS RESTAURANT IS ALWAYS FULL OF PATRONS, and I know honest patrons will vouch for this.
Dumpling story does not have to compete with anyone as the food is generous, flavoursome, hygienic, well presented and good value for money.
I love the mee goreng and the pad thai from this place. The food is tasty. I order my usual pork dumpling and mee goreng. We tried the sizzling beef which was expensive and not that tasty. The customer service is okay.
I went here with my friend for my birthday earlier this year and had to say it was a lovely experience to try chinese food in a restaurant. The pricing I found was kind of expensive depending what you choose for the quantity. But the staff are lovely and I enjoyed it very much. Would go again one day~ the food tasted really good!! No problem with the food whatsoever.
We do takeaway from this place. Good food, even though good decor it's a self service Resturant.

We came here quite often, food is great though service sometimes can be slow but can not compliance being in heart of mall. Food was relishing, soup taste spicy and sour which march perfect authentic taste. Joy Zhao
Loved it here we have been almost 20 times to this restaurant and have a great experience each time service is good and waiters are polite and helpful , good range of selections on the menu and very tasty
Really enjoy the food and service, we regularly dine here! Never had a bad meal and find the staff helpful and quick. Not sure why people are not enjoying the food when we have loved all of the different menu items we have tried.
Nice food and reasonable prices, good service, beautiful restaurant, the best dishes are pork dumplings and chicken dumplings and house special fried rice. Sure I will come back. Thanks guys
There were two main highlights for me at this place.. The fish fillet in hot chilli oil which will fulfill all your spice needs in one dish!! And the fried ice cream.. Had always wanted to try it and I loved it!! We also tried the chicken dumplings which were okayish and pork belly starter which was good.
My only problem with this place was service. You have to get all the servlets yourself plus the place is crowded so that just amps up the frustration.
They changed the menu from the last time I had my lunch here. And in my opinion it was way better! My little family had pork spare ribs with imperial sauce (it was the best dish for me!), chicken with thai sauce, deep fried calamari (my son's fav and he usually very picky), and deep fried pork dumpling. The dumpling's skin a bit too thick to my liking, but hey we were happy with the other dishes, so not a big deal for us. Keep it up!
Me and a few friends went here on a sunday night. Didnt need to book and the food came out quickly and was a very good meal. Great venue in an even better location would recommended and go back here again.
