Spontaneously popped in for a quick dinner and were greeted with open arm! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, recommend some excellent meals that all hit the spot just right! In terms of your standard chinese takeaway restaurant, this one is up there for a few reasons.
1. Consistency. Every venue will have its good and bad nights, but after eating the food about 50 times now over the years, the quality and portion sizes have remained have continued to impress.
2. The portion sizes. Standard takeaway container sizes meals, but only what you ordered. If you order the honey chicken, you get a container jam packed with honey chicken. No onion to fluff out the portion size, no dry noodles on top to take more room. Just straight up bulk chicken, rice, noodles, whatever.
3. Quality. The chicken pieces are cut chicken, not leftover crud bits deep-fried. The prawns in the fried rice are cut up big arse prawns, no frozen shrimps mixed through. It's genuinely enjoyable meat and vegetable portions, then they add flavour, unlike some restaurants that just hide their shame in an abundance of sauce.
If you are craving chinese takeaway this place is worth the drive.
Call in on Saturday night spur of the moment decicion was greeted warmly even though very busy on the phone was told meal would be about 20mins so I said ok I will wait. My meal arrived way before the 20mins and so fresh and tasty. Although I don't buy a lot of take away when I do it always from China Town. Thankyou for your service
I like BBQ pork chow mein with soft egg noodle and Dim sim streamed. Its so yummy!!! But I have to wait about 1.30 hours for delivery. Its long time a bit because Im really hungry. Haha

Absolutely amazing serviceand lovely staff, the BBQ pork with plum sauce was the best I have ever tasted honestly, love the Mongolian lamb and fried rice was delicious. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in town.
Honestly the best Chinese food in Canberra! Linda and Dan have been running this business for over 30 years and continue to serve the community with the freshest and tastiest Chinese food. The boneless lemon chicken, fried chilli beef and special duck are a few of my favourites. As a heads up, this place can get very busy so expect long wait times on weekends- although it's really worth the wait!
