A nice cosy place down the road from me. The staff are super super friendly and there a plenty of smiles all around. I had their version of ' A Big Breakfast '. I had to pay $3 extra for mushrooms which was a little disappointing as they are usually standard for a big breakfast. The meal was all in all pretty good but I had a few little issues. The bacon wasn't crispy and had quite a bit of fat on it. This would be no problem if the bacon was cooked longer as the fat would have melted more and whatever fat was left would have been that yummy crispy type of fat. The only other issue for me was that the plate it was served on was not warm and as such, the meal cooled down quickly. The last issue was that it only came with one little piece of toast. Now having said all that, here is what blew my mind haha. The sausage it came with was like nothing I have tasted before!. It was beautiful. I can only assume it was house made because the meat was not like a commercial sausage meat. It definitely looked home/house made. Delicious!. The spinach, mushrooms and beans were perfect!. The beans had a nice spice and tang. They seemed to be mixed been assortment with a house made chutney. The poached eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. Nice runny yolk to mix with all the other elements on the plate ( omg, how fancy do I sound haha ). The salt and pepper on the table topped it off nicely. The takeaway flat white I got was absolutely amazing!. The service was super friendly and the speed was quite fast, almost a little too fast, hence the undercooked bacon. I have no problem waiting so if this is read by management, please know you can take your time, especially with me :) So all in all a really friendly place to go and I highly recommend it. Just warm up the plates and cook the bacon longer and we will become best friends :) The price was in the medium to high range for the ' Big Breakfast ' and the coffee price was normal. Oh and the takeaway Chipotle Chicken Paninis in the cooler look amazing!. I will be having one of them soon!. They have a nice casual outdoor setting with a few chairs to enjoy the sunshine and superb coffee. Get down there guys, you will not be disappointed.
Such an awesome little cafe!! The staff are great as is the food & coffee!! I have been there for breakfast & lunch & both menus are fantastic with a good variety. The Twig & Sparrow Cafe is a lovely addition to the suburb of Willetton. The staff greet me with a friendly smile and a chat each visit and the food is scrumptious. I've tried the mushroom and corn quiche, mustard and chicken toasted roll, brisket roll and the stuffed mushroom - all fresh and tasty with yummy new flavour combinations. Definitely a hidden gem.
