Such a great suburban surprise. Very authentic Indian food. The gobi manchurian js top notch. Menu is a little light (no daal makhani!) but everything we order is delicious. Servings are generous. This place never disappoints.
Nice Surprise. We had a lovely family dinner here for Mother's Day. I was surprised at the decor. It looks like a takeaway from the outside but once you step inside it is elegant and well styled. Staff were friendly and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered and will be back to try some more.
Enjoyable. We had dinner here on the weekend and enjoyed it. We parked almost at the door, we were seated immediately by a polite waiter, then another very nice waitress took our order. Our food came out in good time and was fresh, hot, and flavoursome. We used a Groupon so it was very good value, however, I thought the regular prices were very reasonable and so we will certainly go back.
The only problem we experienced was, it was too warm - perhaps the air-conditioning wasn't working properly that evening?
Good food. didnt like the fact that we had to wait 40 min for the food to arrive.
Mixed. Tasty naan and rice. Sizes a little small. Good and tasty Spicy lamb, palak paneer, malai prawns. OK butter chicken. Goat curry literally all bone ! Cauliflower Manchurian dish had a lot of deep fried batter and was too spicy even though it was rated medium. Tasty Mango Kulfi dessert equivalent to 1 small scoop of ice cream.
Lesley. Dont understand how reviews can vary so much. My first visit to Samsons on Saturday night and my cousins her third and we think its a gem of a restaurant. You can talk easily because its carpeted and has soft furnishings, makes a nice change. The servings filled the bowls with mainly meat and not too much gravy. Our Lamb Saag was so tender with no fat or grisley bits and the chicken Nawabi was great. The Naan bread was excellent unfortunately we didnt have time to sample desserts but will next time. Congratulations. will be back as we have bought a groupon voucher for 4. Looking forward to sampling other dishes.

Jolly Good Indeed. From the outside, Samson's looks just like your average suburban takeaway. This couldn't be more misleading. Friends had eaten there once before, and had been impressed, so we joined them on Friday night.
We were immediately greeted at the door and ushered to our booth. Wine glasses and water appeared and the waiter explained much of the menu, recognizing our friends had been there but we had not. Great start.
Inside the restaurant is beautifully decorated - suiting "top shelf" rather than suburban. Lighting could be a tiny bit higher perhaps, but the pictures, paneling, paint - everything is harmonized.
Currently Samson's has a BYO licence - no complaints from us - but are looking forward to a full licence as the bar area looks ready to pour.
We started with the Murtabak, garlic naans and raita, and onion bhajis. Excellent. (I suspect they do not yet have a tandoor - the naans were tasty but not light.)
For mains we shared the lamb shank curry, the prawns, chicken nawab and lamb Rogan Josh, with rice and mopped up the sauces with more naans. Opinions were divided as to which lamb dish was better - the shank for me but the rogan josh for others. Chicken and prawns both hit the spot. Spice balances were perfect, and the serving sizes are right for sharing.
We finished with coffees and the total came to under $40-00 per head.
I would term Samson's Jolly Good as DAMN jolly good indeed!
Recently we decided to try our local Indian. What a wonderful experience. The whole family enjoyed the meals and some new taste experiences. Lovely family run. We'll be back.
Have since spoken to an Induan friend since who said it was one of the few places they were happy with.
We love Samson's, it's a family favourite and we go as often as we can. It's a lovely, family owned venue with friendly, attentive staff, a warm, inviting atmosphere and amazing food. You get what you pay for at Samson's and what you pay for is genuine, tasty Indian food and excellent service.
Lovely traditional indian food.... best ever in Perth
