We really enjoyed the BBQ pork and roast duck. There's 2 types of BBQ pork to choose from, the fatty or lean cut. The fried tofu with mince was another fav, so was the fried wings. However, the rice was extremely dry today. I really hope it's a once off so I won't rate them too badly because of that.
Not sure why the rating is not higher on this. Food is great and also good value for money. This is a Malaysian Chinese restaurant which is authentic in their own way. Maybe people are expecting Hong Kong style food.
Love the laksa and their special roast chicken rice.
The service is quick and there’s complimentary water and SOUP too.
Pricing is reasonable and portion is big.
Love the BBQ pork rice. By far the most authentic Malaysian style in Perth. Always ask for more sauce to go with the rice. Great service and friendly lady boss.
Good portion sizes. The food was fresh and tasty. We will go back to this restaurant. We ordered stir-fried rice noodles with roast duck rice, iced honey lemon drinks.
I’ve lost count of how many times I have been here because number 17 (roast pork noodles) has been my all time favourite ever since its opening. Free bowl of vege soup too, why not?
Absolutely love this place. BBQ pork noodles is delicious. Authentic quality food. Prices are reasonable and it's always packed! Staff members are friendly and polite:D
If you're looking for the usual overload of seasoning, anglicised type of fare (your spring rolls, your sweet and sour and black bean nonsense) this is not the place for you. Natural-tasting and with a good variety of dishes. They offer home-made noodles as an alternative to the ready-made, complimentary clear soup, again, very natural flavours.

Authentic. Felt like home. Definitely improved its taste and service since open. Value for money. Taste of dishes very authentic like the one I have in Malaysia or Singapore.
Reasonable priced. Very good charsiew, roast pork and roast duck. Laksa was good too, definitely have the authentic malaysia taste which I dearly miss. Happy to have this local restaurant to come to.
An unassuming restaurant that is easily missed. Tried the Roast Pork & BBQ Pork Dry noodles. Pretty tasty but portions slightly small for what they charged $13.90 would prefer it they gave more noodles on the plate as it was delicious.
Sambal was quite nice. Service was friendly & swift. Shame there’s no soup to go with the noodles. Place felt a bit grubby. Otherwise, not a bad place for a quick meal.
More photo added. The roast pork was quite tasty. It had a crispy roasted skin, soft, moist and tender meat. Curry was not bad. The free range chicken was not so soft as compare to the non-free range chicken. This was expected. (2021-06)
A few of my friends like the wonton noodle here. I tend to agree with them because the wanton noodle was very thin and tender. It was very spongy and very nice to bit in the mouth. Perhaps, one of the best wonton noodle in Perth. The dry wanton sauce was tasty. The Hainan Chicken chilli sauce was not spicy. It was full of fresh lime smell and slightly sweeter and in a light liquid form. We also tried the Mushroom Minced Pork Noodle. The taste when up to another level when we mixed some Hainan Chicken chilli sauce to it. Cheers! (2021-06)
Featuring their new hand made noodles, a standard dish among BBQ restaurants is elevated. The noodles have a wonderful aldente pliant mouthfeel.
Their char sieu isn't the commercialized red dyed stuff, and the sieu yook is decantly crispy.
Couple that with a tableful of "uncles" finishing off buckets of Asahi over a Sunday afternoon in the corner, gives this place a community kopitiam feel that's unique.
We have had to recently isolate and were craving their fried chicken wings. The owner very kindly dropped our orders at our place despite not offering deliveries. We savoured our dishes and forever grateful for the kindness.
A friendly environment with Great Chef with Great Food! New dish Teochew Fish Head Steamboat 潮州鱼头炉 (need to order one day in advance)。
Tried the BBQ + Roast Pork with flat noodles, bbq pork was excellent and roast pork was okay, great crispy skin but the meat was a little dry. Noodles were overcooked and very soft, and the sauce it comes in is very light so all the flavour is in the pork.
5 stars for the self serve condiments - delicious sambal, fresh red chilli sauce for chicken rice, and lovely crunchy pickled green peppers! You can get a generous serving of chicken rice (just the rice) for $2, highly recommend having that with the free condiments. Other reviews mentioned a complimentary soup, we didn't see anyone with a soup so probably discontinued.
A good place to eat if you're craving for good a plate BBQ pork and roast pork. They offered all you can eat veggie and peanut soup, which is very good btw, so for people with peanut allergy, please refrain yourself from eating it :) They noodles are a okay, it's good but nothing standing out as well. The tofu is good with enough amount of topping and the saltiness of the sauce compliment the tofu really well. And don't forget to eat all of those things with the chicken rice instead of the white rice. Will definitely be back for more of their other food.
