Review Two Lost Boys - Windsor

Greg Misdom
Bustling. Clearly the most social café in the street. Reasonable pricing. Quick service. Coffee decent. Food decent. Warm in winter. Really quite a happy, chatty atmosphere. Get your breakfast here, you’ll feel better about your day.

Cold brew coffee was great :) big brekky was awesome! I love the hash brown, the grilled mushrooms and tomato.. everything :) the vibe was good too. I was lucky to have a quiet space for myself (it was almost 3, so already passed the peak brunch time I guess.)
Liza
had an almond flat white and a chocolate almond croissant. coffee was great but the chocolate overpowered any almond in the croissant. other than that was really lovely !!

Great cafe. I come here most mornings for coffee and almond chai lattes. Friendly staff and amazing breakfast food! Highly recommend the smashed avocado breakfast with mushrooms!

Came for breakfast, good coffee, staff and atmosphere! The food was tasty, we ordered the ham Benedict, acai bowl and eggs your way. Would recommend to a friend

Came here for the first time today and got a coffee ☕️ and it was delicious! Lovely service as well 💗

Customer service wasn’t great so 2 stars. The prices are high for a large coffee latte $5.50 plus there wasn’t anything special about the coffee to make worth $5.50. It’s overpriced. North point cafe near Elwood has good customer service skills and the coffee is great too probably because of the coffee beans been used. Wasn’t happy with the service and coffee to make it worth having.

Great food. Coffee good. Staff welcoming. Atmosphere vibrant, loud, with positive energy. Don’t come here if you’re after a quiet place to read a book. Great place for people watching!

Really enjoyed my breakfast here. Great service, awesome coffee and AMAZING toasties. Off the bustle of Chapel St, it’s a pretty and quiet cafe to come and relax.

It’s a 4.2 for me. A fantastic place.

It may be just my current mood but places like Two Lost Boys get me thinking that every second street in Melbourne has a place that serves amazing food in a lovely space with happy smiling servers. Not the case I know but the sheer number of very good cafes and restaurants in this city is extraordinary, I reckon.

We chose this place from about ten seconds browsing on the app searching for good places in Windsor. Two Lost Boys came up at 4.1 and looked very interesting. So it proved. What else could you possibly want in a breakfast, brunch or lunch spot than what they deliver here. This place is a lovely bright and airy place right next to Windsor station and right on the tram line too. Anyone could find it. The food is just wonderful. I had the nourish bowl due to a strong desire for something healthy to partially offset recent excesses. I’ve rarely made a more sensible choice. It was excellent. Every part of this dish worked and it was delicious and flavoursome. The lamb was superb. I was momentarily worried it’d be stringy and bland, but it was soft, delicate and just beautifully flavoured. I sat back in my seat at one point in wonderment.

I’m too tired to fully explain my companions’ choices and all I know is they were very good and fully approved and admired. The coffee was reported as lovely too (I passed on this occasion). Full endorsement from people who know their coffee and wouldn’t hesitate to condemn the bad or ordinary. These people know.

The world’s most beautiful woman said it first as we wandered out of the cafe after our meal into the cool mid afternoon air. What beautiful food, what a nice place, how reasonably priced, what a lovely polite, efficient and pleasant server. As usual, she was right on the money. What else would you need.

I've lived in the area for 2 years and just discovered this place. Such a cool little place by the corner. The coffee and service were excellent. Will definitely come back with the family and try the food next time

Take a casual stroll around Windsor and you will quickly come to find that you're not lost for choice when it comes to eating. There's a lot going on with culinary temptations at every turn, so it would be forgivable if you missed a humble little cafe tucked away in a back corner of Chapel Street next to the Windsor Train Station, but Two lost Boys is definitely one spot that's worth finding.

Bearded funboy Danyel (pronounced "Danielle") Mestan took the reins at TLB in September 2016 and the venue has since emerged as the clear leader in crowded Windsor cafe market. Dan, who on first impression could be cast as the westernised scion of a Taliban leader, is a venerated and proven performer in the dining space, and his work at TLB is true to that form. The venue is much less ostentatious than its try-hard peer group, but remains on trend with an assortment of beautiful pots and thriving greenery. I am especially fond of the custom joinery which must have cost a fortune.

But it is in the eating that patrons best bear witness to TLB's primacy. My blueberry hot cakes yesterday were a triumph: they boasted a fluffy interior which was belied by the almost-crunchy, fried exterior. Garnished with a cinnamon-pistachio mix and a proprietary inhouse marscapone, it is a verifiably high-end offering.

The coffee is also excellent

Five stars Danni

Subtlety ... is often underrated ...

Above Windsor station, occupies the ground floor of a newly developed building, modern facade with warm interior.

Easily 8/10 $4.00 well made latte, smooth with subtle coffee beans character.

Very pleasant and welcoming service, subtle but noted, thank you. Like a few other people who have left comments, I have to say there is something about this place. It lacks the pretentious feel of other places on Chapel st. The outdoor area gets enough sun to get your vitamin D and has less hustle and bustle of other cafes only metres away.
I have had the Notorious BLT twice and it is now the answer to my 'what can I eat for lunch today?' question.
Good staff, good coffee and worth going to....
PedGetsFed
Something about this place is conducive to conversation...maybe it's the slightly secluded location or just the relaxed atmosphere 🤷‍♂️

Menu is simple and tasty...apologies to the staff for always hanging around so long after my meal!

This was a really good spot for brunch. The egg and bacon roll had loads of Bacon on an organic roll, really tasty relish.

The chicken sandwich toastie was absolutely delicious. Avocado, chicken and cheese. Can’t go wrong!

Love the potato gems on the side. Takes me back to being a little kid!
The Darth Zader
A real gem near Windsor station. Service is fantastic and very friendly combined with good food and great coffee. On my last visit I had a mug soy latte which was well priced.
April_eats
Popped in for a quick breakfsat , fresh and tasty muesli. Great coffee, really close to Windsor train station. Will be back for sure when in the area.

Another cafe I had bookmarked some time ago and have finally had the chance to check it out. I would not know this cute cafe existed if it wasn't for Zomato as it is tucked away at the end of a lane way. My latte and smashed avo was nice, hit the spot and I enjoyed it.

Mediocre food, overly greasy toastie. The potato gems saved the meal though.. my friend had the breakfast sandwich which had a few pieces of bacon. Tasted ordinary aswell.
Julia Stehli
Lovely cafe with nice atmospheric outdoor seating just off chapel street. We had the roasted vegetables with poached eggs and lamb and the sandwich with grilled cheese and were both really happy with our choice. Staff is really friendly and the coffee absolutely delicious.

Really enjoyed eating here. It's in a nice spot and has great indoor and outdoor seating.

Staff were great. Very helpful and attentive.
Food was great. Worth a visit.

I like how this cafe is set back from Chapel Street and has more of a relaxed vibe than a lot of eateries in Windsor. We've only ever visited for drinks and snacks, but service has been exceptional every time - highly friendly and attentive.

Their cakes are fresh and enjoyable and I really like their range of soft drinks and juices. Will definitely go back for food at some point!
Becca
Great place tucked away from chapel st. Great coffee and delicious spring pea smash. My partner loved his Benedict which was cooked perfectly. Coffee is Monk Bohdi Dharma which was perfect.
TheWhiteSherpa
Nice relaxed environment less grunge than the rest of Windsor, with friendly and attentive service. Ordered a double espresso and the lamb and feta sourdough toasties. Coffee came out looking perfect and the bean mix is just right, not too citrusy and with a nice smoked flavour. The trios presentation was a bit disappointing but the first bite removed any disappointed. The lamb was nice and juicy, with a good balance of flavours through feta and herbs. Loved it.

Met a friend for breakfast and as she is a Windsor local she suggested we try Two Lost Boys. I ordered a cappuccino and the granola. The coffee was fantastic and the granola was one of the best I’ve had! This is a lovely quiet cafe conveniently located near Windsor station. The staff were really friendly and I can’t understand why it wasn’t busier! 😜
MistaBurga
Good coffee. Even for melbourne. People here seem to be very particular about coffee. I need to go to sleep now. Once the caffeine leaves my system.

Was looking forward to the sweet potato fritters, just to discover they did a seasonal change to the menu. Unfortunately, my backup option of baked eggs also wasn't available.
My daughter was looking forward to the burrito, and that too was off the menu.
I know it's common to update menus seasonally, but this was practically an overhaul.
In the end, my girls ordered overpriced toasties. I got eggs on toast, no bacon. But somehow my order came out with bacons which the waitress wanted to charge me for. Manager intervened & gave me the bacon at no extra charge. By the time all this was resolved, my food was cold. None of the food was instagram worthy, so no photos.
Extremely disappointed.
Sarah
I missed my train at windsor station and saw this cute cafe hidden away right next to the station and went in for a bite while waiting for another train. Overall it was a good meal/coffee and will happily go back. Not the best on chapel st but will definitely be back.
David
Don't bother with breakfast here any more
What a waste of time going there for a week end breakfast out
Boring and dull menu and neither of us could find anything on it that we wanted to eat
And so many good other places within 100m!

We stumbled across this place by accident - we had finished our walk along Chapel St and needed a bathroom break - there was a public toilet next to the Windsor railway station and Two Lost Boys was right there in your sight, otherwise tucked away hidden in a corner.

Good thing we decided to give it a go because I would give this establishment another star rating if I could. Not only was it a charming place, the service was brilliant (all the staff were excruciatingly friendly and helpful), the food was fantastic and the ambiance was amazing (they were playing The National. Enough to win me over)

I got the daily special which was a pumpkin/lentil soup served with grilled cheese. I had a bite of the grilled cheese and was immediately in heaven. The soup kicked me further up into the sky Everything was a party in my mouth, and the lone chef were pumping out these dishes and still had time to be friendly.

Very impressed and would definitely come back if I am in the area.

In Short: Two Lost Boys delivers a focused menu with inventive takes on the classics. Some of the coolest named dishes you will find in Melbourne. Tip: try the Benedict pumpkin patch!. Windsor is an eclectic mix of Op shops, vintage stores, and a burgeoning number of eateries. Having visited the area a few times now, this end of Chapel St, adjacent to Windsor station, has a great energy especially in the evenings. On a Sunday morning, as the rest of the Melbourne sleeps in, Windsor is relaxed. We’re not the first to arrive at Two Lost Boys, yet, we were still able to choose our seating position in a café that’s filled with light. A Beatles sound track plays in the background, and super friendly wait-staff set the tone for a superb breakfast experience.

Yum! Came here for lunch today with my partner and we loved it! We both got toasters- Josh got the sausage fest (Chorizo and Pepper) and I got the Chikado. They were amazing! Audible crunches from the crispy sandwich and the fillings were full of delicious, real, fresh ingredients! We got them with potato gems and the gems were amazing- super crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and well seasoned! The staff were really friendly and the service was quick. Cannot fault our experience here! Simple but delicious food.

Tasty breakky in Windsor
I had cous cous salad was very fresh and Mark had egg on his way . Seem to be simple but nice
Coffee was perfect strong to wake my lazy Sunday up
Miguel Sanchez
Without question, one of the best cafe experiences I've ever had. Fun, friendly service, great coffee and, good god, the nacho toastie is just outrageous. Could not recommend this place any higher. Oh boy. Wowee.
Kemran Mestan
Great location just beside Windsor station at the piazza. Really nice outdoor seating, away from the traffic and noise of Chapel street. They've done some improvements lately, with funky tables and chairs. I had the harissa smashed pumpkin, an excellent twist, I can smash an avo at home, roasting a pumpkin take time. The staff were friendly. I think I'm not going to make it my regular haunt.
Laura Kermond
Great food, excellent coffee! Helpful and attentive staff. Food and drinks served in a timely fashion. Two Lost boys have found themselves!! I'll be back for sure!!
Obsessed With Breakfast
I was lost but now I am found! Finally a place that does what it says without over complicating it. Heaven forbid that you actually get two pieces of quality toast to compensate for the generous serve of smashed avo and perfectly poached eggs. No longer do I have to live in fear of paying $5 for a sad almond latte that makes me want to gag. It's not that I don't like milk, I sadly had to give up the luxury of lactose. Thus my search for the perfect alternative. The coffee is on point, the almond milk is perfectly textured and is consistent. Apparently this place changed hands recently, the new lost boys take their craft seriously and are happy to accomodate my needs with a smile. Massive thumbs up in an industry that has largely forgotten how to be hospitable.

Do yourself a favour by escaping the hustle and bustle of Chapel Street and head over to 2 Lost Boys. The vibe is relaxed, the coffee is great and the food hits the spot! Plenty of room for prams and babies too which is a big plus!!

Came here on Saturday for the first time, I will be back for sure. Awesome coffee, great setup and the lamb burger was the best burger I have had in a long time.
Morry
The four of us ate breakfast here this morning. The food was good and the service excellent. Unlike many other venues it wasn't noisy. We ordered eggs on toast and the Pumpkin smash which was a little too spicy and was quickly replaced with eggs on toast and avocado on toast. We will be back.
Stephanie Bowie Liew
The coffee here is really good! My soy latte was excellent. However, unfortunately the food was nowhere near that standard. My salmon hash was pretty bland, and considering all the ingredients should have spoken for themselves, I'm not sure why that is. The smoked salmon tasted kind of old, and the potato hash was like unseasoned mash potato with crumbs on the outside. My friends had the burrito and their reactions were similar to mine. The service was mixed - our waiter put our order in as 2 salmon hashes and 1 burrito when we said 1 salmon hash and 2 burritos, but then they were super nice and apologetic about it and gave us each a small OJ on the house.

I come here regularly for coffee and breakfast when I need some time away from the office. Friendly service, great coffee and super delicious food! I love that while its close to the busy Chapel Street, it is tucked away nicely to give you a break from it! Make sure you head to Two Lost Boys when you're in Windsor!

What a cool place! The staff are incredibly friendly, the coffee is great and the food is killer (breakfast burrito is a must)!!! Decided to give this place a go today and was not disappointed, 5 stars to the tunes as well! 👌🏾👌🏾

Great vibes as soon as you walk in. Actually left somewhere else this morning and thought we would try here instead, very glad we did!
Thanks guys

Disappointing experience. Very ordinary under-done Wagu beef burger. Thick cut Chips were simply inedible. I feel ill. Coffee okay. Rule this out.

When the weekend comes.
And I am still hungover.
I drag my ass here.

Bacon burrito.
Soon has me back to normal.
Now time for round two?.....

Amazing smashed avo - the toast was incredible and the portion size was huge. Two Lost Boys is super generous with their food. From extra avocado to a great big dose of salmon. You'd be crazy not to try it.

The coffee is okay. Soy lattes aren't the forte here but my partner had the long mach which was fine. Overall, amazing value for food!
Kim
These boys aren't lost... They know what they are doing. I had the lunch-time pancakes... The best blueberry (and coconut) pancakes I've ever had (I used to kinda hate them). But these were nice and light with bursts of blueberry. The accompanying cream and other garnishes didn't quite match up and there wasn't anything that made my tastebuds sing. It was a nice serving size and the toasted coconut added a nice different texture.

My friend had one of the rolls... Said it was tasty (but a bit hard to eat if you check out the pic).

I didn't have a coffee (opted for wine with lunch) so can't comment... But the wine was nice ;)

I'd come back to try something new soon.

Just had a coffee, so can't comment on food, however with the glut of café's popping up in Windsor has come a downturn in quality of coffee in general.

So it is great to find a place with good coffee, space to sit outside (instead of the cramped footpath most café's squeeze u into) and friendly service.
Steve H
Now this is a great little place that you'll find off the main street in Windsor as you get off the train coming out of the city. Tucked behind a bar called Wonderland, this place is a lively cafe where you can choose between inside or outside dining, being served by excellent, friendly staff who are willing to tailor your order according to your preferences.

My wife ordered the smashed avocado whilst I ordered the blueberry pancakes - we were both treated to meals of extremely high quality and amazing fusions of flavour. The coffees were also of terrific calibre and come highly recommended - many clients ordered both dine-in and take-away coffees whilst we were present, which showed how popular this cafe is. Definitely worth a visit and venture off the main street to try this cafe out, you won't be disappointed. :)
Mrs Mark
Typical Windsor cafe with decent food, coffee and good service. Atmosphere was a bit lacking though. I had the salmon salad which was very tasty but was not my first choice as they had run out of chicken.
Brett Henderson
Sweet potato fritters are out of this world! My dog got treated like a VIP and was served water before me but I won't hold that against them! Great value and a good bunch of people!
Jodie Malcolm
Two Lost Boys is my favourite spot for food on Chapel Street. The service is excellent and when I asked to substitute an item in my breakfast and split my bill it wasn't a problem (which many places seem to be opposed to these days)
Smashed Avo with chilli and mint had just the right amount of chilli and the coffee was delicious. Two Lost Boys doesn't disappoint
Leona Irvine
Being a self-professed foodie and coffee snob (will not apologise), I can be quite particular about the cafes I eat and drink in, so to give this place 5 stars, it says a lot!
There is a great selection of food, it's delicious and comes out quickly. Coffee is fabulous. Location wise, it couldn't be better - right next to Windsor station, on Chapel Street but just out of the way of the busy pedestrian walkway. Service is second to none, like the other posts say, the two 'boys' that run the cafe are really personable and friendly.
10/10 would recommend.
Enjoy!
Lucy Stevens
I LOVE this place!
Right next to the station when you need a quick coffee! (Which could be the best on chapel) 💕
The food is outstanding! The bacon and egg role is out of this world!
And to top it of the service is always with a smile they make a huge effort remembering you personally!
My favourite spot!

Josho Lovesit
Breakfast is always generous and tasty, coffee is great and it's a great spot to just chill. People behind the counter and in the kitchen are always super friendly and keen for a chat. Ps Pancakes are AMAZING!
Pub Grub Expert
One of my favourite breaky spots. Great coffee, smashed avo is one of the best, along with other options. Perfect for Chapel St (nicely secluded from all the foot traffic!)
Shannon Murphy
Awesome coffee! Had the Bacon Egg roll and asked for it on a brioche. Amazing! Will definitely be coming back for more. Friendly staff as well.
Naidaway
Had a great brunch here today. Had called the day before to book a table as there were 6 of us - they don't really take bookings but they did keep a table for us which was fantastic.
I had the breakfast burrito with bacon added in - perfect hit of chili with the jalapenos inside and I spiced it up with my friends side of sirracha. Perfect eggs inside, perfect size of the burrito and it was an absolute winner. All our meals looked really tasty and attractive. I'm also a fan of 'lunch' options from 9.30am.
Coffees were excellent also.
Service could have been a tiny bit more focused (eg. cleared 3 plates and the other 3 about 10 minutes later) but I'm definitely not complaining about it - very friendly and helpful at all points.
Ameera Jade
Favourite place to have coffee in Melbourne. The staff are friendly and quick and there's always good music playing! Brekkie has never disappointed either.
DuckieLovesToEat
I was pleasantly surprised with this place. This place was pretty near to where we are residing and after work, I was not in the mood to make myself breakfast. I had the coconut lime pancake and skinny hot chocolate (to make sure I sleep although I wanted to have a cup of coffee). The pancake was really good. I am not a fan of anything very sour such as lime/lemon but I don't know what possessed me to order it but I was so glad I did. It was refreshing and coriander on a pancake?! Genius! Thanks for the good customer service
Theweekendbrunchclub
Brunching on Boxing day can be difficult as most places are closed for the Christmas period. Fortunately Two Lost Boys have very generous hours during this period. At 10am on Boxing Day we had no issues getting a table for 2 people. As it was quite cold and wet considering the previous day was stinking hot, it made for the perfect baked eggs weather.
Cookielessvee
nice chill place tucked away behind windor station. friendly service and the food came out quick and tastes good. nice atmosphere and a quiet place to have brunch
Macfoodie
This little gem is awesome. It happens to be a stones throw from my boyfriends front door, and as a regular they always greet him warmly and by name. The two owners have done a great job in creating a little cafe that's got a friendly feeling as soon as you walk through the doors. The menu is great and the coffee is delicious. It's downfall (and not for us, but for perhaps their business) is it's tucked away location. So if you're thinking of giving it a go.. Do. And then tell all your friends. Thanks for all the smiles Michael!
EJA
Excellent coffee, great food, good service. Another local favourite of mine. The baked eggs & beans will knock your socks off. So delicious.
Avolette
Great coffee! Friendly baristas and service staff.
Very busy cafe, especially on weekends.
Brunch options are not overly exciting but no complaints.
Louisiana Wijaya
The coffee, amazing! And the breakfast and staff were lovely. Great atmosphere and the was music spot on! Come here through word of mouth and was not disappointed!
OmNom
Delicious food. We inhaled both our meals in minutes. Great coffee. Great service. Cool cafe just off the busy Chapel St. Will be visiting again!
Stephanie-Jane Lewendon-Lowe
Nice, boutique coffee and fabulous staff who will joke around with you!

I struggled to find something I would enjoy on the menu for breakfast. I'm not super fussy but I found there were some unusual ingredients in all the breakfasts. I settled for sweet potato fritters and substituted the salmon for bacon. The bacon was crispy and delicious however the fritters were quite dense and I struggled to eat one of the two I got on the plate. The breakfast lacked flavour though I cannot speak for any meal other than what I had.

They had lovely looking cakes and treats which I would return for!

Andrew Connolly
Delicious breakfast, fantastic coffee, great vibe, but most of all, wonderful people! I'm a local and wouldn't go anywhere else! Keep it up guys! :)

Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
Delicious coffee!
I do not regret their invitation to visit here.
It is nice that it's kinda tucked away from the streets, but also not too difficult to find.
Kate Parker
Located at the top end of Windsor and hidden away behind the station it's not a cafe you would stumble across. Menu works for the graze all day market - presents beautifully but taste failed to stand out in a market filled with great brunch places.
Brock P
Pleasant fit out and service good. Bit of a wait for meals when restaurant didn't seem the busy and food nothing special. Baked eggs lacked some flavour and a bit just a bowl of beans.
David Clarke
Came here over the weekend for a quick bite to eat and a coffee. Was quite surprised as I had only heard rumours about this tucked away place. The venue is amazing, and food was delicious. My only gripe is that the coffee wasn't very good.
Julian
Open a window. Good coffee, nice sausages, very small fried eggs. I've been a couple of times but wouldn't bother anymore. The venue itself is stuffy and warm, fix the AC. Guys behind the counter are nice, but what a rude waitress, attitude every single time.
Emma Jane Stubbs
Really wanted to like this place as in the coffee book! Our order were taken promptly but as soon as the waitress went to add it to the system she had to clarify our order (which was incorrect). Order came and I asked for some cold milk (which i ordered initially). Cold milk was put on another table where the customers had finished drinking their coffees, and waitress ignored there 'excuse me'. The afternoon look like too much of an effort for her.
The food looks delicious and I do want to come back!
Ljcollins
Pretty average. Dont order the cauliflower salad unless you want to consume half a bottle of olive oil. Soooo greasy it made me feel ill!! Service was hit and miss too. The guy who served the coffees was friendly enough but one of the waitresses who served our food and took the bill clearly didn't want to be there. Really disappointing as I was looking forward to trying out this place!
Tiffanysayers4
The best cafe in Windsor. Working locally off Chapel street, my colleagues and I walk extra just to visit this place. Its not just perfect coffee takeaways - day in and day out. Its great service, fresh food and without fail the boys always take the time to say g'day, make us feel at home and have a chat. The atmosphere is so friendly and I can't recommend the place more! LOVE IT. SEE YOU TOMORROW GUYS! And the next day....and the next day...and then on the weekend... and then the next week....

Sometimes I feel a twang of injustice that I somehow need to make a planned, carefully executed trek into town (I live opposite, towards the coast, sigh) just to get that hard, satisfying kick of that rosy-brown, perfectly rosette, bearded-barista latte – and that’s what Two Lost Boys did to me one Saturday.
Bonjourchickie
The quality of the coffee was indeed “killer” as promised in The Age . The coffee beans are locally sourced from Monk Bodhi Dharma and full of rich, roasted flavour. While there a few casually attired hipster dudes manning the busy dining area, the staff do know how to engage and interact with their customers, with the right level of service that is memorable and yet unobtrusive.
Julycheee
Came here for lunch at a quiet hour, and received really lovely service from the staff. Absolutely loved the sweet potato and beetroot fritters - amazingly combination in this dish and so delicious! A highly recommended dish! The rolls and sandwiches from the "light-eats" lunch menu were surprisingly very substantial portions (but not really "light" at all).
Lapisk
A little lost like the name suggests. Went in this morning for breakfast. We were seated down and had coffee orders taken straight away. That said, this was as good as it got. The coffee was dusty and burned. The orders got lost and after having had waited for 40 minutes, asked where our food was. To give the waitress credit, she was genuinely apologetic. We asked for more water from another waitress, but it never arrived, so I helped myself to the waiter's station. Once my food arrived, the poached eggs, which were to be sauce for the fritters, were hard boiled - all too dry. Good ideas on the menu though. Partner praised the ricotta cakes but far too big a serve and felt sorry as couldn't finish. Probably just a bad run but won't be bringing my cash there anytime soon.
Andrew
Your coffee is bad and you should feel bad
James Wong
Brioche Burger. Absolutely delicious. Burger is still moist and tasty.
Cherlyn
Missing it. Best coffee ever. Need to be there again. Service always with a smile.
Behavin60
Very Lost!. Waited 45 minutes to be served. Staff wonder around aimlessly. No burgers so ordered salmon as salad side . No salmon! Salad arrived hot namely just cooked cauliflower. Give the place a miss.
Robert Monteith
Pathetic service!! Two guys working, menus plonked down on the table, coffees plonked down on the table two minutes later without even a word, and then nothing for 25 minutes!! There were only a handful of people in the place!! No order taken, not even a glance in our direction. I have never received such poor service. Left and 'plonked' down some money for coffee. Will never return. Pathetic!

Awesome Reuben and cauliflower salad. Hmm .. and coffee. Gotta go find the two lost boys

Reuben. So good!

Great location with fab coffee and stylish interior!! Easy to get to and affordable, would eat there anytime!!

Schooling Chapel Street on what great coffee tastes like!. Wow! My new fave for a weekend breakfast and arguably the best coffee in Prahran! So impressed.
Rohan Crilly
Good food. I eat a lot of food and drink a lot of coffee.
I rated the food but not the coffee so much. Great friendly service.
Dom U.
Sunday beers n burgers. Killer feed and vibes. Cheers
Ian Laking
Wasn't a great experience. Service was very slow, and it wasn't even that busy. Food was overpriced for the quantity provided. Soup was watery, burger and chips very salty. To top it off, coffee was burnt. Boo.
Richard
Two 'Found' Boys - and what a 'Lost And Found'. You know, I just wonder about reviews on Urbanspoon. Where do so many of you get angrys from? I cannot understand why, if you have been there 3 times, had the same meal each time and finished with the same result, did you go back? That's insanity. Why bother? And why bother telling us? All you have done is show how stupid you are.
Two Lost Boys. What a find in the side lane above the Windsor station. Brilliant breakfast, excellent staff, attentive at entrance and quick service combined with common Melbourne breakfast favourites. Avo Smash presented well with perfect poached egg, gee Melbourne does poached eggs well, smooth ripe avo and garnished with radish.
Coffee was perfect, as requested and served by friendly, efficient staff. Not sure what else one requires. 10/10 from me.
MDK
Gave this place a second chance after having an average experience last time only to be disappointed again. Poor and at times confusing service, average coffee and whilst well presented, tasteless food.
Char443
Delicious baked eggs. I've been here twice now and both times ordered the baked eggs - their delicious! Order them with a side of bacon for an extra good breakfast. The coffee is good too. Just make sure you get there early as it can be hard to get a table.
Coffeeshot
Coffeeshot. Very attentive staff, really friendly, great coffee, menu and food probably needs some attention though.
DM
Terrible food and service. The waitress came up to our table and noticed the table was dirty from previous customers and proceeded to wipe down the table with her hand. Salad was bland and very basic and portion sizes are tiny. Will definitely not be going back and will tell my others to avoid this restaurant.

I was expecting good things from the cafe. Unfortunately, I have nothing nice to say.
Food is average to say the least. The ham hock is just foul and appeared to be from some pre made roll.
Service is slow and coffee is average.
Won't be going back anytime soon.

Okay experience. Came here for sunday lunch. Had baked eggs and beetroot fritters, not bad but have had better baked eggs at other places. Food and coffee is good, my only complaint is that the food came incredibly slow - although we were prewarned about that.

I have eaten here regularly and the food, coffee and service is fantastic. The sweet potato and beetroot fritters are outstanding. Don't believe the poor reviews.

So much better than anything else going round in Prahran. Usually can get a seat straight away too - win.
Best coffee in prahran by a country mile.
Just one thing guys - watch the eggs. The last two visits my poached eggs have been hard boiled!
