Review Cafe Bevande - Windsor

Some of the best food I've eaten in Melbourne. We mixed and matched our own dishes to share. The crispy things were light and crisp, the amok curries with fish and duck perfectly balanced (and the flavour took me back to a cooking lesson in Cambodia). Fish popcorn was a delight (crispy with zingy greens to accompany) and chicken ribs extra yum. Desserts were tasty, inventive and different: crispy rice ball with avocado ice cream totally works and I really enjoyed the pineapple through the other. Staff were attentive and food came out quickly. All thumbs up, thank you!

Had my birthday dinner there with a large group. A superb experience for us all - our first time experiencing modern Khmer food. Woody and the team were fantastic during their service, ensuring all guests in the restaurant at the time were well looked after. The tables are well spread out so you can hear yourself talk with your table. Highly recommended place to eat and drink and will definitely dine there again.

Loved the family favorite, vegetarian. Had zucchini flower for start and that was mounth watering. All dishes are full of flavor and tasty. Definitely will come back. Keep the quality guys the same, thumbs up!

Excellent food, and very reasonably priced ($62 for the 8 course chef's selection). Like everywhere else, maybe a bit short staffed at the moment. Sadly, the menu notes 'no MSG' added - restaurants should stop doing this (and use MSG, which makes food taste better).

My 2nd time here and the food was delicious. I can comment on the authenticity sonce I haven't been to Cambodia myself, however, the food is great. We had the oysters, grilled corn, steak salad, grilled squid salad and crispy pork belly. The steak salad was the highlight. The grilled squid salas-a tad sweet for me. My dining partner thought the squid couldve been softer, but I loved it slightlt firm as is, tastes like lightly sundried squids we get by the beach of Nha Trang. Crispy pork belly salad was ok, however the crispy pork was not crispy. So other than not matching the name, it was good. Everything went down well with white rice. We enjoyed it very much! Staff and service was good and friendly. I'd say this is one of the places where the standards are the same as pre covid. Highly recommended for an asian dining experience on Chapel Street!

just wanna said, the food was so good, and the staff and the chef are so sweet and so nice, this would be my very first time to have Cambodian food, it’s amazing, refreshing, pretty light. even the chicken rib was deep fried. i have the song san island, taste so great, not very strong but it’s very tasty.

Cambodian-owned and authentic which is great, but from a vegetarian perspective, ultimately thought flavour lacked in food and cocktails. Do recommend the corn cobs
