Review The Lagoon Seafood Restaurant - Wollongong

My husband and I were passing through Wollongong and we booked in here on a whim, and after our meal we were already planning our next visit. The food was spectacular, unbelievably fresh and generously portioned. The staff were amazing, and the service we received was second to none. Shout out to Fernando, our table waiter, for going above and beyond for us.

This was an interesting dining experience. The waiter was very friendly and had good banter. We ordered a couple of bloody mary oyster shots which were nice. The Asian style scallops were perfectly cooked and tasty. I ordered the barramundi with bbq prawn. I would've hoped to have got more than 1 prawn in the dish. But the fish and sauce to go with it was beautiful. The other fish we got was a snapper fillet which was delicious. The place itself could've used a little TLC. It gives off a cheap wedding function centre vibe as the carpets are stained and some of the chairs are a bit tatty. For the prices you pay for food I would expect a better quality arrangement.

Never a bad meal here. In my opinion their seafood platters are still the best I've ever had anywhere and I have been to some top notch Seafood restaurants. Service a bit slow but that was due to staff shortages because of covid and isolating issues. Staff that were there did their best and worked their butts off! Best thing is I can walk here from my place 😁😁😁

4 of us have a really great time , however we've ordered two seafood platter for the night and the lobster is disappointing which tooooooo dry for human consumption. Overall, the sea food platter not only lack of prawns which is usually inexpensive in supermarket, also the oysters are micro tiny small which shockingly for such big restaurant like this. For the price that they have changed us, I think it could done better on the quality of food as well as the quality of each type seafood. Why would I pay restaurant to make cheap seafood when I can buy them cheaper and cook it way better myself, am I right? Notes: I nearly tripled to death just tried to go to toilet because the oily floor that night. No one give a rat even after I complained about it.

Quality food, amazing service, friendly staff food is very tasty and priced well. Highly recommend, Bring back the leather jacket on the platter!!!

Lagoon Seafood Restaurant at North Wollongong was great. We had lunch at the restaurant and the lamb shanks were delicious, service was good and the food came out very quickly. Would certainly return.

we had our booking at 930am then went out after dinning. Came back to use the toilet with my 25days old son just to change its nappies but unfortunately the front person asked us if we have a booking because the toilet is only for restaurant customer. I said it wont take long we will just change my sons wet nappies and she strongly said NO. Such an inconsiderate staff. I do work as a front office supervisor and out toilet is only for guest use but when a pregnant woman or a mother with infant ask me if they can use the toilet I do always give them compassionate reason to say yes anyway sales will not get affected if we let them in. Just saying.

Thank you for a lovely meal with the family tonight celebrating my mums birthday. Hannah was our server and she was exceptional. She knew the wine list and recommend and delicious Italian white with our meal. Her attention to detail made the our food experience that much more! Also, Rose was so welcoming at the front desk. She had the most welcoming smile, and made our whole experience that much more. Thank you!
