Sushi Bay

Definitely the best in service and food in wollongong. Not that ive tried any others but the hospitality and quality of food here was so exceptional im adamant nothing can top it. We came here after a long drive from sydney to wollongong for a little trip, and we were stunned with how good it was. It was unfortunate that at the time we went in (3pm) it was completely empty, though i can imagine this place being packed a bit later in the evening. We were quickly greeted by a friendly waitress and seated at the corner of the sushi train belt. We started picking plates off the belt since we were hungry, and it was surprisingly fresh and delicious. We werent expecting much out of a sushi train, but this was probably the best weve had. We had shared 10 plates in total overall, and we were already filled up by then. Id say the portions are pretty standard to any other sushi train. While we were waiting for another dish, the chef in the middle asked us what we were looking for, and what he could do to help. We asked for squid, but he unfortunately heard sweet, which was probably the best mistake we could have made. He continued to inform us about the selection of desserts and mochi he has and offers us a complimentary tiramisu mochi, which was hands down the best mochi ive ever had in my life. He was incredibly friendly and we shared some laughs as the powder from mochi had gathered on our mouths. We had ordered another 2 mochi afterwards, a green tea one and a strawberry one, and they were just as magnificent. We finished up afterwards and got our bill, which was all done in a quick friendly manner. We were left with big smiles and hearty goodbyes as we left, and it definitely stood out. The exceptional service could be due to us being the only customers, but either way it was an unforgettable experience!

Everything is so fresh, cooked right in front of you. Quick and easy as well. Great for a meal with friends.
