In A Food Mood

This place is amazing! We ordered the 3 course menu. I got the lamb shoulder as entree, the barramundi as main and the hot chocolate sundae for dessert. The food was unbelievably good! The staff were attentive and lovely. The venue was stunning. We cannot wait to come back and try other dishes! I highly recommend this place :)

We enjoyed a wine tasting followed by lunch. The restaurant is in a lovely setting with a view over the Yarra Valley. We chose the "Trust the Chef" menu and absolutely enjoyed the tempura zucchini flowers, Moreton Bay bug, Lamb backstrap, whole baked sea trout and creme caramel/chocolate mousse dessert. Service was very good. The whole dining experience was great and would be very happy to take friends there again.

This winery have managed to turn the estate into a hotel, restaurant and art gallery. The restaurant boasts a magnificent view Yarra Valley. We came during Melbourne Cup and have to go with their set menu. Food was surprisingly pretty good, it's too bad that service was really slow and they are also kind of pricey.

We’ve visited Yering station many times. It’s a gorgeous wine farm with lots to see (art & views) and lots to taste and buy (wine). What more could you need?

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at the Yering Station. The environment and venue was spectacular. High roofs and great view. Service was great.
We enjoyed all of our food including the delicious truffle butter and the wines which I forgot to take a photo of! Defs considering having a wedding venue here.

Had a wonderful time at Yering Station today. The view was beautiful and the space so light-filled (even though it was a overcast day) - very impressive when you first walk in. The food and wine were also amazing. Overall, a very special experience.

We decided to drive to the Yarra over the long weekend and stopped for lunch at Yering Station. When we arrived at 12.30pm the reataurant was quite empty but it was at full capacity by 1.30pm. The restaurant is beautiful - it has floor to ceiling glass windows and the sky was clear and it was a sunny day so we could see the yarra ranges clearly. We ordered the 3 course menu for $78, but on public holidays and weekends they have an extra 10% surcharge. I really enjoyed the quail entree with cherries - every item on the plate complimented the other. The swordfish tartare entree was light and fresh. The wagyu flank was tender and delicious but I would have liked the meat to be done rarer. The lamb backstrap was also delicious. The chocolate dome dessert was well-presented and was bitter, sweet and rich. The mango dessert in contrast was refreshing and fruity. The staff were attentive and service was good. This is a place I would bring family and friends to come and relax and have a nice lunch with a view.

Good Food Good Mood

We came to Yering station for a wine tasting with a work group as part of an organised tour. They really are the best way to go to ensure everyone is able to participate in the cellar door safely. There were a great number of options and the staff were so knowledgeable on the grape varieties and their passion was truly impressive.

The grounds were also absolutely stunning and my friend and I took great delight in posing with some discarded barrels! Would definitely want to come back to try the food on another occasion

Crabapples For Lunch

The highlight of Yering Station has to be the ambience and views. Very tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows make for an amazing dining experience.

Everything else is what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant - good service and well plated food. The dishes were pretty nice but portions weren't very big. As you can see in the photos, the duck for example only came with 2 slices. Plating was pretty fancy but for the price I think there could be a better balance of substance versus style.

Nevertheless, the ambience does make up for it, especially if you haven't been here before.
