Had a coffee and light snack today (11/06/22). When seated we were offered a warmer room as it was a particular cold day. The person attending our table was fun and outgoing, answered probing questions about the food with absolute confidence and pride about all the sauces and condiments being made on-site. I got the ‘Plain Damper Bread with Butter and Relish’ I expected a few slices of damper with a dipping sauce… I could not have been more wrong! To my delight I got my own full damper (warm) light and fluffy texture with a generous serve of warm butter and relish. Brought to the table by the Chef ! The very same man who made the damper and relish. I thought to myself - I would never be able to eat all of this. But with the abundance of complex flavor of the relish, the soft fluffiness of the damper. The crunch of the crust. In no time it was gone ! I am a man who loves my coffee so much I will not hesitate to tell you how to fix it if you serve me a bad coffee… I was so engrossed in my damper and relish I hadn’t touched my coffee till it was gone! With all of this happening you would not be wrong to think how can it get better. That relish I talked about, you can buy a bottle to take home and relive the experience as often as you like in your own home. If you want that extra special touch with the damper you will just have to go back to the restaurant, I know I will.

Had my 70th Birthday dinner here with 24 family and friends. Could not recommend it more highly. It is a smallish venue, more private and quieter which suited me perfectly. Wayne and the waitresses made my evening so special from the standout delicious food to catering for allergies. The waitresses took the orders in a very professional manner and were attentive to our every request. Finally Wayne even graciously cut up and served the Birthday cake that we brought along. Couldn’t have asked for a more delightful and memorable evening!! Will, of course, be back there soon. 😁😁😁

A delight pre-Mother’s Day dinner in a warm restaurant with lovely ambiance and even better food. The gnocchi is seriously good, the calamari was divine, but the home made chocolate mousse was the standout. The owner and chef took time out to sit and talk in what is obviously a restaurant that is very much loved by the local community. Highly recommended.

Stumbled across this lovely cafe whilst meeting a friend for lunch in Yarra Glen. Neither of us had been as we recently moved from WA. Couldn't have been made more welcome by Wayne & the hostess. It happened to be my sons 1st birthday & Wayne came out with a birthday cake (yummy brownie by the way), a candle & a little 1. He sung happy birthday which just melted my heart. The chicken caesar salad was yummy. I watched Wayne with his customers & he treated them like friends. Very friendly & compassionate. I will be back here again, simply for the customer service, beautiful food & happy atmosphere.

Had a lovely room off to the right to ourselves for a 80 th birthday Service was excellent and food great. Serves were big but you could get half serves for some meals. Parking on the main st is limited but there is plenty of parking in the side streets. Courtyard is lovely but walkway up to the front door is a little uneven so needs a little care. Will def be back soon

EDIT: Spoke to Wayne on the phone and was impressed by his kindness and understanding about the whole situation. Thank you, Wayne. Great food, coffee and staff who took our order was nice and friendly. But the lady who allocated our table & sorted the bill was not, she gave us a bit of an attitude from the beginning. We left home very upset and really felt unwelcome.
