Had a quick lunch here with family and overall happy with our food, pie was okay, scones was fluffy and mango juice was not overly sweet, the environment was so comfy, like ur in your grandmother house :) service was standard, order yourself at the counter and they will bring the food to you, a bit of convo, they were very busy but quite friendly :)
A nice place to visit and relax and have a tea or coffee. Lovely service and the scones were really fresh. I didn't ask but they tasted like they were made on site. Not too expensive either.
Lovely quaint old tea rooms with open fire. We sat in the pleasant sunny room at the front. Enjoyed our platter of cheeses, olives, pesto, etc (loved the beetroot relish & marinated vegies). The devonshire tea had nice tea (T2) and the scones, jam and cream were all very good. We enjoy looking at the foods and wines in the deli section and my kids like the ice-cream bar. You can also look through the internal windows into the workings of the bakery next door, which is something a bit different. We will return as we like the feel of the place.
We stopped in our way back to Melbourne. It's a great halfway stop between Lakes Entrance and Melb. The ice creams were delicious and the thick shakes excellent. It was a great place to stock up on Gippsland wine and cheese too. A recommended place for a break!
Stopped here on our way to Lakes Enterance. Got a selection of cheeses and a few wines, as well as a few other nibblies. Amazing on all accounts! Our guess loved the goodies we brought. The service was great! The gentleman at the cheese counter knew his stuff and suggested some good cheese and wine combinations. Will be stopping here on our way home for sure.
Great decor and friendly service... Really enjoyed the baked potato, generous serving size.
