An excellent country pub with a wonderful atmosphere, great service and warm fire going in the cold months. Cozy and comfy with a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Typical pub fare in the food department, hits the spot just right and they often have lovely deserts available. Accommodating when it comes to allergies and dietary requirements too, just ask the staff to help you out and you'll be on your way.

Myself and my lovely Wife had a great meal tonight in the restaurant 6/5/2022. However was very disappointed that there was no fire in the restaurant. This has always been a highlight over many years of dining their. It was very cold inside. Graham Weaver.

Stayed for one night recently and were shown wondwrful hospitality by staff. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed dinner in front of a log fire in the pub. Delicious traditional food and a lovely chat with some local people who shared their history of living in York. Would highly recommend Settlers Inn for a stop over.

Food was good, just a very busy barmaid having many issues with the beer taps etc, but still tried to smile anyway haha... hubby loved tasting the beers

Haven't been in for a while, service was excellent. They have a new menu and I must say I was impressed....the prices where very reasonable. Great place to sit back and take in the history while enjoying a drink or two.
