Amazing experience tonight at Bread and Bone- ate a delicious chicken burger with just enough spice and drank 2 of the excellent beer specials. Had attentive, friendly service from all staff and will certainly be returning.
Stumbled across this place, Wow what a Gem. Cool vibe, prompt service, happy friendly staff. Oh and the food was great. Burger and Chips in Adelaide then Bread and Bone well worth a visit.
Absolutely magnificent a real gem of a place where I thoroughly enjoyed the best burger I have ever had... Three Little Pigs OMG and very friendly and attentive staff.
On recommendation we ate at Bread and Bone. WOW and we would highly recommended. From the time we walked in service was great. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We were told salad were large served and only need I between the two of us so a order of onion rings to top off a great meat the best not to thick and fatty just right. Attentiveness to keeping water topped up as well as our wine. Over all a great experience. Will be back.
Had a great night sitting at the bar chatting with the staff. Great food. Knowledgable staff on the beers they have. I will be going back next time I am in Adelaide

Nice place to come when you’re craving burgers and bar food. The night I came here, I was alone as I was away from work Solo. The staff made it comfortable and enjoyable to just sit back. Knock off a few of their quality beers and enjoy their juicy cheese burger & 3 cheese and jalapeño croquettes.
Overall: Attentive and friendly staff, nice atmosphere with a variety of nice beers and burgers.

If you are in the mood for good burgers and craft beers, you will find double happiness here at Bread and Bone. Ordered soft shell crab burger which was cooked in fine crunchy batter and dressed in spicy mayo with a kick. Not to be missed is The 300 that comes with a succulent 300g juicy beef patty.

We quite enjoyed the burgers served in this restaurant. They were a little pricier compared to the average burger joints, but it was a satisfying meal. The waitresses were polite and friendly as well.

Really cool atmosphere and super friendly staff. Enjoyed all the elements of the mixed grill other than the sausage, it just didn't have any texture to it. The fried halloumi was amazing, so many fresh flavours. Stand out was definitely the burger though, will be back for more in the future.

For the burgers we tried cheese burger. Was pretty standard. What you would expect from a cheeseburger.
Fried chicken burger-liked the honey ginger flavour. Never had that combination in a burger before so liked the creativity and difference there. Would have been better if the chicken piece was larger so that it spanned the whole burger bun.
Terrific middle eastern inspired breakfast! Not what we were expecting but the surprise was worth it. Recommend the Zataar& chesse as the family pick.

Went here for lunch and it was really nice. The place is dimly lit with long wooden tables and smells of wonderful meat. The staff greet you upon entry and were very pleasant.
Unfortunately they didnt have the pork ribs available :( so i settled on the scotch fillet steak and a can of the ipa beer.
The steak was cooked medium and was cooked perfectly. It was tender and juicy with the right amount of pink all the way through. The jus and caramelised onions was so good we could drink it. The beans were lightly steamed and added a decent crunch to the dish but could have used some a bit of salt.
Really nice place and would come here again next time in Adelaide. Hope i can try the ribs next time!
Tasty burger, good selection of drinks and overall a nice vibe to the joint. Would recommend if in the CBD to check it out. Limited seating available from what I can say so go in early if you’re heading during the lunch time rush.
The food was good, reasonably priced but lacking invention. There is a variety of standard burger fillings and all deliver on what's on the menu but it's limited and lacking in variety. Although the steak looked good and the drinks selection is decent

Pretty decent menu, few good specials and some decent beers. If you like meat this is your place. I had the beef short rib which was probably 7/10, very nice but not top notch. Service was good.
Pretty nice place for burgers and a beer especially on a Friday night or the weekend... It gets pretty crowded with the after work crowd and I don't think they take bookings from memory ... I really like their soft shell crab and chicken burger ... Would recommend it for a quick fuss free meal before hitting the town
Great fit-out, one of the better establishments I’ve been to in Adelaide. Service was very friendly and efficient. Ordered the beef short rib and a side of corn. Short rib had excellent flavours however not too big and also a bit tough for what a short rib should be, corn was amazing as were the little French fries. Definitely need to have Mac and cheese on the menu permanently. Burgers also looked pretty good too. Recommend checking it out.
Always love dining or drinking here. Fun friendly service, delicious meals. Awesome drinks list and I love being able to order a 'butcher' or small glass of any tap beer to try. Good ambience too. Fun for a night after work.

Peel st has a nice selection of bars and eateries. B&B serves up some fantastic burgers, juicy beef patties, soft brioche (?) buns and perfectly sized. Chips were a good inclusion too, however not as outstanding as the burgers themselves.
I really enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries here. We had a lovely staff member serve us, the atmosphere was cosy and it gave off a good vibe. The decor has an industrial feel and it's a more upmarket place to grab a burger. A nice evening was had.
What a cool place! Bread & Bone gives more of a high-end burger bar vibe, with industrial-style interior and dimmed lighting. It is obviously popular as the place was full when we went on a Monday night. Very friendly staff and generously sized meals. I had the fish burger and substituted the fries with onion rings for an extra $3. Both were so delicious. The combination of flavours in the burger was spot on - the yellow curry yogurt made a good burger amazing. I would be tempted to get the fish burger again next time but am also looking forward to tasting my way through all of the other delicious-sounding burgers.

These guys serve up a pretty tasty spicy chicken burger made up of fried chicken, guacamole, cheese, ice burg lettuce, bacon and kewpie mayo. Legit some of my favourite ingredients, so I was buzzing. It travelled really well via UberEATS. The fries did not travel so well though. Looking forward to trying their wings next time!

Definitely a regular here because they serve my favourite burgers in Adelaide! Bread and Bone is owned by the same people as Press* (my second favourite burger place). I have tried every burger off the menu except the Lentil and Quinoa one. My favourite is the B&B burger which is a beef burger with a soft bun, meaty medium beef patty, cheese, smokey bacon and sauces - so good. The shoestring fries are always perfect too! Bread and bone is my go-to spot to catch up with friends especially if it's their first time because of it's casual and cool vibe and amazing food. There's usually a bit of a wait for a table during peak times and you have to leave your number and wait for a call back but the cocktails in their downstairs bar Maybe Mae make up for that. Highly recommend!
As seems common with upbeat burger bars, Bread & Bone has a pretty edgy set up, being located under an overpass and with ample exposed metalwork. The design is quite effective and the venue is pretty pleasant and cosy and the menu has a good range of burgers, hotdogs, started and sides. The meals have a moderate range of prices and mostly include fries which is a nice touch and the range of choices is quite expansive. We got a chicken burger and a pulled pork burger which were both great, and some of the best I've had. However, the onion rings were occasionally floury and undercooked, and the shoestring fries were a bit stock standard. The drinks list is also quite nice and of middling prices, and the service was prompt and polite, making Bread & Bone well worth a visit.

Really cool spot. Dropped in for tea all on my lonesome. Had the Green Beans which were on special, not sure if they were a starter but that's what I had them as. These had chilli, anchovies, hazelnuts and burnt butter. The serve was massive but I smashed the whole thing, delicious.
For main I had the 300, was nice, a little messy but that's what you get with a 300g burger patty!!
Washed everything down with the Pirate Life IPA, nice but should have went for the hop hog.

Been super curious about this place for months and I finally got around to going to my bday. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff , made room for a table of 5 straight away. Service was fast and the food was delicious I ate my burger in 2 minutes, I couldn't stop myself. LOVED this place!!! Can't wait To go back
Came here for lunch today, we ordered the pork ribs as well as the beef short ribs... both were cooked to perfection and just the right proportion! Definitely recommend!!!
Had a nice dinner with work colleagues during the week at Bread & Bone. It is one of the popular establishments on Peel Street.
The decor and staff were pleasant.
We had a selection of the starters that we shared. All were tasty with the pumpkin fritters being the best. The wings were also nice.
For mains we all had burgers, I had the B&B burger that was a good burger.
Certainly a place to return for a burger based meal if in the cities west.
Adelaide has a lot to offer and this place is one of the better ones. I have been there a few times now and would go back for more

Pea & pumpkin fritters awesome. The beef ribs are great. Chicken wings and tenderloins are good as well.
Ambiance is comfy, service has been always second to none. Friendly and helpful.
The not so good: The chicken Wings/tenderloins can be ordered as Bloody Hot - well, the general consent on our table was they are not really hot.
As they have a wide selection of drinks, on tap they have 4 beers and none of them was local....
Regardless - will be back for more.

Onion rings were amazing! B&B burger was nice and simple and the chicken burger might need a bit more guacamole but was still really tasty!

The staff were very helpful and they also let me know what options on the menu were wheat/gluten free (gluten free burger buns!).
They were also happy to take my suggestions for the best GF beer brands too - I hope they eventually stock them (the bar is on my way home via the train station 😉).
The only issue I had was my white wine wasn't as cold as I expected, minor considering the good service

Im not the biggest 'trendy burger joint' fan but you dont have to be to enjoy this place as they have an amazing hidden downstairs bar, mood lighting and music and a brilliant list of local beers (pirate life is my favourite).
Loved my Three Little Pigs burger. Flavours worked together beautifully. My friend had the soft shelled crab burger which she described as divine. Atmosphere dark and cosy, in the heatwave the aircon was struggling!
A friend and I came here for a Sunday evening dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the soft shell crab burger which was lovely which also comes with a serve of fries. Good wine selection where we ordered a French bottle of red. It was pretty busy and obviously very popular.

Had the turkey special burger. It was nice. Not amazing, a little bit pricey for what you can get elsewhere (still doesn't beat 127 Days!). But, considering its a restaurant it's ok. Chips were very good too, for shoe fries which I usually do not like. Don't order salads. Friend ordered one, was tiny and definitely not worth the $18!! How they can justify all that lettuce for the price, I don't know!!
Love the soft shell crab burgers here with their thin french fries (which reminds me of McDonald's fries)! It's crunchy with good flavour, keeps me wanting more! Felt like the burgers were slightly smaller than expected for that kind of price. And it's only best eaten in the shop itself, as they do Ubereats too, but my burger and fries were cold and not crispy by the time it reached my home.
This was such a great place to grab a bite! Loved the vibe and a great location. My food was amazing, still can't get over the burgers! The staff where awesome as well, great customer service!

The Dear Luncher was wondering how long it would take for Jack Ruby to get some serious competition. Travelling again in Adelaide and inspecting the gulags it was time to find out about this recent addition to The City of Churches. A quick stop for a quick dinner was on the cards. The Dear Luncher was immediately impressed by the tap beer selection. A pint of Hop Hog was requested, as well as the signature B&B burger. A truly outstanding burger, pink meat, perfect texture, easy to handle - delightful all round. The chips were a little disappointing, it seemed as though they were in the deep fryer just a fraction too long. Bravo Bread and Bone on what is a terrific setup architecturally and superb menu. The Dear Luncher will return again when Adelaide returns to the itinerary.
I absolutely love Bread & Bone! Their Three Little Pigs and Soft Shell Crab burgers are a must try! Yesterday, we also tried their Grain Salad which was also yum! The relaxed feel and the amazing food make this one my fave spots in Adelaide!
Great place that ticks the boxes for me. Design and style in the fit out with wrought Iron and big wooden benches and seating that invite conversation. Wide selection of local and other beers both bottle and tap and a tasty array of food on the menu. I broke my burger drought on the strength of others reviews and was not disappointed. Southern squealer had plenty of tasty pork and a great spicy dressing. Washed down with a local extra pale ale and a little friendly service and I was thinking why is this place a plane journey away.

Dropped in here for a post function burger last night having been a few times and loved the burgers, we decided on BB dogs this night. The dog comes in a very delicate brioche hot dog roll which if not for the delicious smokey dog in side the roll could have been the highlight. Its topped with crispy onion rings which I wasn't a huge fan of, the flavour of the dog was perfect and the rings seem to over complicate something for the sake of having more on the plate. If you are in the city and can get a table definitely worth a look, come later to avoid the traffic and trade a nasty kebab for a burger or dog.

This place is sensational. Came here to meet some friends who suggested it and are SO GRATEFUL for the choice. Probably the best pulled pork burger I've ever had in my life. And I'm a pork fiend. I love some pork on my fork. All the better that it comes with pricklebacks to have some fun with too. The chicken wings (hot, not the B&B hot) were perfect, amazing flavour and texture. Definitely trying the hot ones next time. I admit to completely forgetting to take photos due to excessive enjoying of myself and not wanting to ruin the moment. But sad that I now don't have any pics to make you all jealous of. Just means you'll have to go for yourselves.
The food took a little while longer than expected to come out, but once it was out we didn't care. Plus there's a great beer selection representing some great craft brewers to pass the waiting time. It's a communal dining set up with a few long tables, slightly squeezy - even on a Tuesday it was pretty busy but luckily no wait for a table.
Staff are cool and attentive, let us know any menu limitations immediately and kept us up to date with what was going on.

This is a pre-script addition as I didn't want to write it at the end. Came here last night (third time in two days) with two friends. Again everything we ate was delicious and the drinks were perfect as was the waitress who served us. However, when we went to pay the bill a playful argument between my friend and I occurred and one of the male staff became extremely rude and aggressive, trying to imply that OUR behaviour was rude and ordering us away until we decided who paid. This was a shock. I felt like he was trying to bully us which I won't stand for and is not in the spirit of the place. He quickly left before I could say anything to him and the excellent waitress who served us had to apologise for his behaviour. Prior to this I had witnessed (on my previous visits) customers doing the same thing and the staff take it all in their stride and be polite. But not this person. Very poor show. I felt like I had been bullied and our experience was almost ruined because of him.
Driving from Canberra to Perth and stopped in Adelaide for a while. I came here for lunch and had the crumbed fish burger with yellow curry yoghurt sauce. Unfortunately the fish was deep fried for too long and was dry. The sauce though was delicious.
I decided to come back for dinner (yes, on the same day) and had the soft shell crab burger. Absolutely freakin delicious! I live by a pescatarian diet so to come to a burger joint that has two seafood burgers (and a vego burger) is great.
The place looks great, has an excellent vibe, the music playing is great (currently listening to Fools Gold by the Stone Roses - yes I'm writing this review while I'm still here) and the staff make an excellent and refreshing Gin & Tonic with a slice of orange. I've already had four of them. Well done Bread & Bone!
Ps - now listening to The Dandy Warhols and on my fifth Gin. Does it get any better.

Came here yesterday after needing to try somewhere new! Just off Hindley on Peel Street, you'll fine that Bread & Bone Grill is located in a white glossy tiled tunnel-like place. However, you'll need to step inside to actually find Bread & Bone Grill (for inside seating) by going up a flight of stairs (note: hidden bar going down and when you to get to this bar, there's a door behind the stairs which is painted to match the wall).
Surprisingly, Tuesday was a very busy night so we were seated in the tunnel (slightly cold but the heaters were on so it was okay). Ordered the Southern Squealer ($18.50), B&B hotdog ($17.50) and onion rings ($6). A friend who accompanied me yesterday actually came here before after being recommended by me (who relied on the reviews as I had not been before), and he said that the burgers and hotdogs were awesome. Well, the pulled pork in my burger was AMAZINGGG! The burger itself looked very appealing but that pulled pork just melted in my mouth so definitely a thumbs up, and the slaw added a really nice crunch. My friend had the hotdog so I'm not sure what it tasted like but he said it tasted really good and would recommend me to try it next time. Onion were rings were quite nice and crunchy although I did expect a more coated batter.
Anyhow! I'm definitely coming back here for some great burgers and hotdogs. Hopefully I'll be able to be seated inside next time as the atmosphere seemed lively and busy, yet provided this nice chill out vibe. Although it is a bit pricey, the quality is up there and the portion size is generous for what you get from a small bar/food place.
Needed a late night burger fix and bread&bone did not disappoint. Delicious burgers with loads of flavour! Staff were accommodating and overall service was great. Will definitely be back
A highly recommended and apparent Adelaide favourite. Cosy open plan setting, not for the person who prefers to have dinner in a booth. Fries leave a bit to the imagination but the pork ribs and burgers are amazing - highly recommended.
Stayed around the corner on a Sunday night and was delighted to wander down a lane way to find this cool, funky place. The burger was amazing with skinny fries it McDonald's style but with way more flavour. Enjoyed the vibe and the food. A must try.
Lucky enough to be staying near this place on a work trip. So... I'm here for 3 nights and I've eaten here on my first two and I'm dead certain that I will be here for the third. This place is awesome. Amazing menu of burgers and dogs, BBQ, American comfort food (fried chook) and other delights such as South Aussie smoked sardines on sourdough with puttanesca sauce. Drinks list is a great selection of quality wine, craft beers and a 2-3 cocktails. Everything from the decor to the food here makes you feel really really good.
I was recommended this place by a friend since i am not an Adelaide local, so i made sure i tried it yesterday. I must say i was super impressed with everything. The setout is really funky and i also like the little outdoor take away options out the front.
Now for the burger, i was super impressed with it. The patty was juicy and i especially like the mayonaise, i also like the brioche bun that was lightly toasted.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and when i am back in adelaide next time i will be eating here again
Never disappointed with this place. Burgers are always juicy and flavourful and the fries sides are always crunchy and well seasoned. Atmosphere and waiting staff are very pleasant however the place is always busy. A wonderful place to visit to satisfy your burger cravings. One of a kind and definitely the best in ADL.
Burgers with table service in a trendy setting - that is the experience dining premium you are paying for. It's true, the cheese burger here does taste a lot like what you could get at McDonald's - but the texture of the food is generally more refined. That doesn't stop it from being occasionally too salty or greasy, but there's a time an a place for everything. Sometimes you want a cheap fast meal; other times you want to go somewhere with a perforated metal clad ceiling, marble bench tops and an impressive tile lined cavernous entryway. You could dwell here for a while and mull over your drink as you wait for your meal. It may take a while to arrive, but service is attentive and personable which more than makes up for it. Just remember to bring good company and conversation.

First of all I would like to tip my hat off to the owners of this place for making place look so fancy and fresh that it was well worth the search for it. Its tucked in corner in Peel St and opposite the Comic book store. The menu has a wide variety of choices from seafood to beef burgers as well as some specials on the menu that appeals to the eyes and the taste buds. I personally recommend the lentil burger, pulled pork burger and the chicken and guacamole burger as they are beyond divine! Do pay a visit if you are in the area or wanting to reward your taste buds indefinitely ;) I have yet to try their selection of drinks but this is just an excuse for me to go there again.
Pretty much all you could want/expect from a burger joint. Awesome atmosphere, awesome burgers and awesome beer. I've been there a couple of times while it was very busy, but still the food came promptly.

The cheeseburgers taste like actual McDonalds cheeseburgers (even though we substituted a veg pattie). The whole meal, fries included, was eerily similar to a happy meal. But I didn't feel as guilty about it because I was sitting in a hip bar and the burger bun was shiny, and I paid more for it.
Chop salad was nice if not a little under-dressed and under-seasoned.
I'm more likely to return here for a cheeseburger than I am to go to Maccas, despite the fact the taste is the same and the cost here is higher. I'm at a loss as to why this is the case. Alas, I am but a product of this world.

Came here with a few friends after hearing good things about their burgers. It was a Wednesday night but despite being mid-week the restaurant was absolutely buzzing! We headed downstairs to their basement which held a hidden bar and had a few drinks there while we waited for a table to free up. The bar had mesmerising decor and had cozy booths on the right side. It's a great place to hang out with friends for a chat over a few drinks, especially because it's decently quiet.
We were seated upstairs at the restaurant after about 20 minutes. The special burger that night was the "pulled pigs crubeens" burger. I had no idea what it even was and had to do a quick google search - "an Irish dish made of boiled pigs' feet which are then typically battered and fried". I'm one to be adventurous so I ended up ordering it. The burger ended up being delicious. The brioche bun was excellent - soft and buttery and perfectly toasted. The patty had a wonderfully crunchy breaded exterior, and the inside was filled with incredibly juicy pulled pork. The fries that came on the side were alright. Just your regular shoe string fries. They didn't come with any dipping sauce, which was a little disappointing.
Pretty great (from an out of towner's point-of-view). Adelaide looked v.sketchy out tonight, this place was clearly the right choice. Good burger, great beer (Sierra Nevada Torpedo on tap) and a super cute (and sweet) bartender. Done.

One of my favourite burger joints which I can always rely on for a great burger feed. The B&B was packed with flavour and came with a generous serving of fries. Friendly staff too. Definitely recommend if you don't mind a bit of a wait on busy nights!
Great burgers and sides. However quite expensive. Very cool fit out and location down Peel Street. The burgers are fantastic quality and contain tasty chuck mince cooked perfectly. However I haven't been back for a while because there are other burger joints that have burgers just as good, maybe even better and nearly half the price. However still a thumb up and definitely worth an eat
