We had dinner at Little Hunter last night which was a pretty cool steakhouse in terms of atmosphere and a very extensive venue space wise. I ordered the scotch fillet as per everyone else on our table and appreciated the variety of sauces on offer but defaulted to my forever favourite bernaise.
The sauce isn’t included but a side of chips, truffle mash or a baked potato is. I didn’t find the mash remotely truffle like and it wasn’t as silky smooth as I would have liked but it was an enjoyable meal nonetheless and I would definitely consider a return visit.
Unfortunately we came at the end of a busy week and a few popular menu items were unavailable however, the steak that I ordered was cooked a requested, was tender and was clearly a quality piece of meat. The sauce came on the side without being asked and the mushroom sauce was really good. Good winelist and friendly service.
Massive industrial meets cowshack environment inside. We got a small table for two tucked away behind a beam, in saying that we were lucky as walk ups. Seems there were quite a few parties going on.
Menu is great, lots to choose from including the grill or mains. I opted for the eye filler, wrapped in bacon and served on a potato truffle mash. Only negative I have, could not taste the truffle. The steak was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce was heavenly.
Partner had wagyu steak with the jacket potatoes.
Wait time wasn't too bad considering how many people were there.
Service was friendly considering how busy it was. Would definitely recommend Little Hunter if you want a good steak.
