Review Khana Khazana - Adelaide

Sad to see a previously good family restaurant tank the way Khana has. Every time I get takeaway they stuff something up. Apparently this is what a parantha is supposed to look like.

Delicious food in beautiful restaurant with beautiful service. Great menu with a lot of vegetarian options too. I been never disappointed with my take away or dinning. Mostly my best place for eating out. Highly recommend with five stars 🙏🥰

Super wrapped with my takeaway. Very tasty , good value actually make that great , friendly service. Oh even got a little bonus . Very happy . Normally find indian dear but not here, even a great amount of meat in the sauce. Unfortunately I'm not local otherwise I'd be back for sure. Highly recommended.

This is the best ever Indian food in south Australia I ever had. 10/10 for the service. Beautiful place to sit and eat meals. Thank you for serving us.

Best indian food you will ever have for sure. My first time visiting Khana Khazana with my friends, my indian room mate took me to this indian food heaven. you will fall in love with the soft cushy naan bread and the kadai panner and chicken masala is to die for. tbh i was little skeptical about indian food as i've heard how spicy it is. But the chef has customized whole menu for us foreign ignorant aussies. Staff was super duper nice, ambience and service was good too. Overall a well spent weekend. If you are looking for best indian food in adelaide, trust me khana khazana tops the list. Will be coming back soon...

Best butter chicken I've tasted in Adelaide.

My family and I were previously big fans of the restaurant. Some of the best indian food we've had. Tonight however was disastrous. I called to book a table before going to check for availablity on a Tuesday night. She said sure and took down my booking. When we went in the restaurant was busy with two big groups n few others. The waiting staff refused to offer us the table we wanted although they were free. They purposefully sat us on a corner and the whole time and the two girls who was waiting for the night didn't even look at our table to make sure we're served. When we got off the table to get their attention calling to them to order more, she just walked away!! And before leaving when we confronted them for bad service they told us off saying we're "going over". Then she started being rude to me when I interrupted for talking back for making a genuine complaint. She said "I'm not talking to you am I?" Like hello??? Is that how you talk to your customer? I don't wanna call names but she's one uptight rude lady ( being nice by calling her lady really). It's sorry they can't take criticism Hope they know they've lost a long time loyal customer.

The food from here is absolutely beautiful! It has the best butter chicken ever. Great and very affordable prices (especially for a family) would definitely recommend to anyone.

We've been long term customers of the team at Khana Khazana, before and after renovations and they've always been reliably delicious, thrown in a free papadum from time to time and had a big smile. I was devastated to move out of the area for awhile but now we're back in the area and back at KK. Love it.

Never disappoints! Always great service and quality food. My mother who is rather averse to takeaway food even requests this when she doesn't feel like cooking for the family! The serves are generous, excellent value and most importantly, tastes delicious! They also cater for those with nut allergies-we have some family members who are allergic to cashews and even though the curries may have cashews in them, if requested they make them cashew free (and we have yet to have anyone have a reaction!)

Dined with the family, x3 adult sons, husband and myself. Ambience was clean but quality of furniture for your average Indian restaurant is average. Get rid of the large tv on the wall!! Would recommend they clean table surfaces with something besides bleach spray. Service is kind and attentive. Menu is extensive like most Indian restaurants but here’s what’s wrong, the food isn’t authentic nor fresh. The pakoras are like they’ve been cooked before and heated in microwave, over cooked or stale, the naan has more the consistency of pizza, the tandoori chicken and fish are wet and there’s no BBQ flavour. They come out on sizzling Mongolian plates like Chinese food ( hint hint). The rice is very dry. The food and restaurant lacks that beautiful Indian food aroma and flavour. Skip, drive a bit further and get the real deal maybe at Jasmine in town, Beyond India or Chefs of Tandoor, Malvern.

Went for the first time since the renovations. Have been about four or five times already. Service was as friendly as ever. Food was not contaminated by tree nuts as requested. All the dishes were very good, especially the fish curry. My sons love the variety of naans available. Salty lassi was a bit thick, but that was the only complaint. Fed four big eaters. Total didn't hit $100. Another great night.

Neighbourhood gem. Lovely personal service and table settings, incredible fish curry and the best palak paneer we've ever had over years and continents (including subcontinent). Gorgeous naan, fluffy saffron rice... everything perfect. We've dined in twice now, we will be regulars for sure. Takeaway, too.

Khana Khazana is a North Indian restaurant located on busy Portrush Road in Glenunga. The business has been around for over 7 years, and the Chef and Owner has had over 30 years in the food industry. As you walk in, you can see the entire restaurant which is one large dining area. The dark coloured furniture and white cloth napkins give this place a touch of class, and you can’t help notice the large mural along the back wall. The entire width of the frontage is glass which allows plenty of natural light to flow through. The menu is extensive with over 80 items which does not include the specials.

I have been waiting for this place to reopen again. Let me tell you why i am saying this because this restaurant have been renovating from lats six month. I really waited for this place for six months and when they come back in second week of August with all their beautiful food and great service . I think this person below review did not really makes any sense. I would say whoever read the reviews of Rrrrrr123 please do not believe that. I wish i would visit this place everyday .

Really tasty food but we had an awful experience with broken glass in our curries, so we won't be going back to this restaurant. We used to be regulars.

Great Indian restaurant in the heart of Adelaide.. The mark of a good restaurant is not necessarily its size, but the quality of its food and the generosity of its staff. Along that line, some of the finest dining experiences I've had throughout my career have been in the small diners and dives scattered throughout the suburbs of Burnside.

I have been to K.K (Khana Khazana ) many times and never been disappointed. Elegant dining and the tastiest food served by the most polite waiters. Always recommend it to visitors. Eating at Khana Khazana was a pleasure and a destination worth experiencing. I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes great service and Indian food with a twist.
Thanks for a great food at every visit

Lamb Shanks Masala. Great ever

Would not recommend, atrocious service.. The food is a reasonable price for what it is, my problem more so lies within the service. After ordering food over the phone we were told to pick it up within 20 minutes. However we didn't receive anything until an hour later. There was no apology for the delay, no phone call or prior warning before wasting near an hour of our time. By the time we got our food, half our meals were cold. I wouldn't feel obliged to write anything but this has happened multiple times and the sheer lack of respect to peoples time bothers me. This is a review by someone who's experienced the restaurant more than once, for its good qualities and bad. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you value your own time and plan to eat before bed time. There's another Indian restaurant two minutes down the road with much better service where you'll be treated with respect.

Small shop just off Portrush road. Friendly staff. Range of wines available. Good quality food. Majority of times value for money
Overall 8/10

This was our favourite Indian restaurant in Adelaide until we found glass in our takeaway meals.

KK is amazing !. Finally found a good restaurant in the Eastern suburbs ha ha .. This is amazing, Indian Food at it's best. The Butter Chicken is to die for, simply melts in your mouth and is not greasy at all. Gulab Jamun desert was also outstanding, devoured the syrup to the last drop ! Clean little place on Portrush Rd, the excellent service and very reasonable prices make this a clear winner.
Must visit !

Top notch food, best butter chicken I've ever had. I've only ever gotten take away but excellent price, great service and free rice.

What a great little place! Service is fast and friendly.. On a Saturday night remember to book as it was jammed packed with people! Food was delicious, and had a great range of vego and meat dishes, as well as different spices! Great place! Worth a visit

Absolutely fantastic! Chicken Tikka Masala & Veg Korma are faves. Disregard the negative review below, they are either confused or have been paid to post a scratching review because this is the best Indian in Adelaide.
Lora McMillan
Terrible. The butter chicken was sickly sweet and the madras and korma were flavourless, probably the worst Indian in Adelaide. Yick

Best Indian Food and Service. Found this restaurant on the net. Delicious food. Good prices. Friendly quick service. Delightful people. We visit weekly. Would not go anywhere else for Indian food.

Great place, food and friendly service. Love the Chicken Bryani.

A real gem!. I'd gone off Indian food over the past couple of years, finding most local places to be pretty average, but Khana Khazana has totally renewed my taste buds. We've grabbed enough meals from KK now to know the quality is consistently high... All the dishes we've tried have had great flavor and don't seem overly oily like a lot of Indian can be.

A total surprise. I've been driving past this place for years and never gave it a second glance. Just had a meal and am mighty impressed.
Inside, it's a little like a shoebox, but that's hardly the point. The menu is huge, everything we tried was excellent, the service was great and the bill reasonable. Highly recommended.

Awesome. Extremely unassuming and for me is the best take away Indian spot in the Eastern Suburbs. Delicious, authentic flavours and really well priced as all serves (which are generous) come with rice. A definite winner in my books.
Hungry Dude
Delicious food and great value!. I've been eating here for the last 3 years. The food is fantastic (the butter chicken and beef vindaloo are highlights), and the prices are very reasonable. All main courses come with rice at no extra cost, and I often find a complimentary bag of pappadams in my order too. Use the money saved on rice and pappadams to put towards some very nice beer from Dan's next door and you've got a great Friday night dinner sorted.

Excellent food. Great prices. Very friendly. Unpretentious. Get your wine from Dan Murphys next door. Love eating there regularly.

Fantastic And quick Indian food. The family are so friendly and make such tasty food. I look forward to eating there everytime!
Princess And The Frog
Great local Indian. One of my favourite take away joints. Great prices and delicious food. Recommend the chicken tikka masala. Staff are always friendly and service is normally very quick.
